Blount could take over full-time if Rice continues his ...downtrend.
Nobody should be discussing Mike Evans , its not happening. Might as well be talking about Clowney or Manziel.
Chafles Woodson on anybody? Almost had 100 tackles last year.
Not saying Torrey would come cheap but I think Torrey would want to stay here.
I was iffy about Steve Smith but after hearing his attitude in articles and interviews , I'm all in. #IceUpSon
Webbs 'bad' year was overblown so much. We were expecting a pro-bowl year but that wont happen comming off an injury. I believe PFF had him at 12 or so*. With Jimmy at 36 *
* = Not exact, approximate.
Of course PFF isn't the end all be all but either is any statistic.
Not Cool. Seriously disrespectful to Sergio Kindle. He had all the talent in the world and gave us all he had yet never became the player he could have been due to a freak accident. I am seriously offended by your sentiment.
Draft hindsight is 20/20. Anybody can say oh our GM sucks he missed Tom Brady in the 6th or UDFA Shannon Sharpe or heck CFL Warren Moon. Stop nitpicking.
Mike Evans is a pipe dream. There is no way we get him considering it would take a 3rd just to move to 11-15. We shouldn't even be discussing Evans.
Would like to point out that without Boldin last year, we were a giant sloth caught in a tar pit. We moved slow and were stuck in goo. .
Our offense last year sucked because of O-line , WR , and TE injuries but overall bad play by our linemen.
I personally don't like Mike Evans that much , too much hype but he would be the perfect target for Joe. Jump Balls all day. Who needs separation when you can just box out 5'10 corners.
I'm not so sure. With the contracts that have been handed out this year, he might get us a 4th round pick at best, possibly even as low as a 5th.
5th for a 5th. All day.
I strongly disagree. I don't think that we'll automatically avoid a WR in the first round because we sign Steve Smith. It would need to be more than that.
I've been thinking that we don't draft WR in the 1st long before Smith. Outside of Evans and Watkins I don't see a WR that either fits the type of wr we need OR is better value than a defensive player/linemen . Also OZ isn't one for first round offense especially a WR. The WR talent extends well in the 4th : Jordan Matthews, Allen Robinson , Davonte Adams , Brandon Coleman , Mike Davis.
1st round draft pick
At this point I doubt it.
Not counting Lewis and Birk(retired). Who that we lost last year is a guy you would have wanted us to pay? Boldin? Smith will get half what he Is getting paid. Underperformed while he was here. Ellerbee and Kruger? Nice B players paid like all pros. Pollard? We wanted to go with a different type of safety. Ed reed? As much as I love him. It's clear he was no longer worth what Houston paid him.
On Point! Don't forget Cary Williams either.
Steve Smiths is soming off an awful season also. He wasn't that much better than Marlon and Jacoby to be honest.
Car didn't have any other receivers on their roster, he was doubled all day like Torrey was . He also missed a game. Besides we aren't bringing him in to be our #1 , he will be a cheap vet #3 and if he gives us 700yrds I will be ecstatic.
Our receiving corps still isn't very good adding Jacoby and Steve Smith. It's the same one from last year(one of the worst in the league) with the addition of a 35-year old chain mover. Smith is okay, but he's only getting worse and doesn't make our offense that much more dynamic IMO.
Addressing our O-line and getting Pitta and fixing our run game will fix our passing game better than just adding some young blood.
Steve Smith is a raven before the end of the day. Calling it.
Mutual interest in Julian Edelman
Source? I couldn't find it in the article you posted.
Outside of Clemmons DeCoud and Ryan Clark are worth a glance.
Not sure how I feel about Steve Smith yet. One thing I do like is that if he does come he will be cheap becauses that the only way ozzie signs him. He's no Brandon Stockley but he could probably still ball.
3rd or 4th would be nice.
Terrence Brooks or Kenny Ladier
Captain Munnerlyn isn't a bad CB he is a physical player? I wonder how much cap he would command?
Youngest CB on the market and coming off a great season. I'd love to have him but he probably wants too much.
There are alot of solid corners out there, some high upside guys too , but none are young and I have no idea the type of $$$ they want. Considering Corey Graham fot 4mil (WHAT?!) I would avoid the CB market.
Holiday
Holiday is a pure return man with a fumbling problem. He is no where near a replacement because he can't cover all the bases jacoby can.
We paid Jacoby WR3 type money for a WR3/4 dynamic deep threat who is also an awesome KR. Whats the problem?

Blount is a monster that is barely stoppable with a full head of steam. He really emerged for new england late in the year and , tbh, carried them because Brady wasn't playing that great. His passing blocking is iffy and doesn't switch the ball away from defenders but 100% a worth while signing.
