Goodell handed out the punishment he thought was fair with all the evidence on his plate. He didn't change his mind because he was wrong. He changed because of bad PR.

I honestly believe it is the NFLs job to punish people for tarnishing the NFLs name. Anything else should be left to the legal system.

Also Rice wouldn't have gotten any punishment under the new ruling because he wasn't convicted.

I'm sorry if you take offense to some of the opinions on here but this is a forum for football not the supreme court.

That was all the offenses fault though. That is what everyone said. I still have a few stones left over when I even hinted that the defense's 4th quarter fails were part of the reason we missed the playoffs.

"I don’t know that I saw signs of our defense wearing down," he said. "I’d have to probably look at that. I haven’t looked at it from that perspective. I didn’t think of it in those terms. I thought our defense was pretty stout right to the end."

I'll be happy if our defense doesn't choke every 4th quarter again. 

If they rank in the top half against the pass, I'll be amazed.  Suggs and Dumervil aren't getting any younger, fell off in a big way at the end of the season, and the FO was too worried about adding run stuffing defensive tackles to bolster the pass rush.

Dumervil and Suggs started off hot but when Dumervil was injured it 'sizzled out'. 

With the play of Rice Ray, the O-line , our 4th quarter defense , and the ridiculous play calling . Flacco deserves little flak outside of a few bad throws that resulted in picks. 

Just wait for the first crack on the offense this season.

Doesn't matter who you have at WR with Zero pass blocking, Zero run game , and terrible play calling. All were problems were us.

Exactly. Because S. Smith & Daniels are stop gaps. Just like we give our offense every single year. There is no one to develop with Flacco and he's into year 7 now - it's getting late.

Guess I'm the only person that likes this draft. We made out like bandits and it seems like the popular sports outlets noticed too. We have very grades on all sites which is rare for us.

It seems the main complaint on this forum is that we went defense high. I believe this is a good thing that Ozzie has faith in our offense. Also that we didn't really draft big names , I understand that you guys touted on espn went to other teams but these guys were scouted by our FO and they go really indepth. Character , leadership , etc. Are all very important to Ozzie. If you search any of our prospect all of them share two things ; they work hard and have character. 

How dare anybody doubt Ozzie. He has forgotten more about football then any of us will ever know. 

Also lets see who we grab undrafted. If you remember , last year , our leading receiver in TDs was undrafted. 

He was also the best LG period last year.
