Nice to know the Ravens lead the NFL in fourth down "conversations". Who knew? I have to look that one up. I thought the players talked regularly....on every down. Go Team!!
At least the NFL didn't threaten to flex out the rest of the season. They're going to let the Ravens play!!
Yep, kicking the tires on everyone at this point! Man, just think what it must feel like to be on THIS team and get cut now. The bar has been definitely lowered. If you can't make it here this year, you may want to rethink you career choices :-)
I was talking to a few fans just the other day about that subject and T. West. Getting drafted/traded away from the Browns to the Titans, who then cut him loose. Not a good career start, when those two teams gave up on him. Hopefully, that all changes now that he's "back home". Hope he gets to play tonight and plays well.
Perhaps a WR named Brown who actually can get some separation.
And hopefully he doesn't try to catch passes w/alligator arms, either.
Hopefully, McCown doesn't have anywhere near the game he did earlier in the season against us. I doubt that he will. Also, I think Schaub will have a good game.
So it will be pretty much the team we see in the second half of preseason games that couldn't even beat any of the opposing second stringers lol. Who does everyone think we'll select in the Top 5 this year?
Although a Top 5 pick is certainly possible, maybe even likely, it's way too early (I think) for that talk.
I was hoping Joe would throw enough times to pass 4000 yards and maybe get a Pro Bowl nod. Instead....
Thanks for the morning chuckle.
This is bad. Ravens will have all new receivers by the time Joe is back and he will have to get in a sink with them all over again also the running back will have steel plates in his arm. This is why I say 2017 before the next chance at playoffs... maybe.
That's gonna be one mighty big sink.
Can't blame Tuck - face it, without him, we would be 0-10. 3 end of game winners (our only wins thus far).
So....it's Tuckers' fault we aren't currently in line for the top pick? Hmmmm....now we know who to blame!!
Jensen was, in my opinion, guilty of tripping. Tough to see in that video, but I remember seeing it during the replay on tv. Also, I don't see a problem w/the block on Will Hill. Plays/blocks like that are made on almost every kick, by us and others. Enough whining!!
Hate to break it to you, Mink, but Allen didn't "excel as our new starting running back".
W/all due respect to Flacco, the way he was playing the last few weeks, Schaub can't do much worse. Go ahead and neg away, all you Flacco worshipers, but, you have to agree, or perhaps you're still in shock and hungover from guzzlin' all those purple kool aide shooters last night. Go Schaub!! Go Ravens!!
I was wondering since when is a 6'0" 188 lb. CB considered "big"? Also, how is Flacco having lots of turnovers attributable to "no help from the Defense"? Hmmm....
Well....if they're not backing up and not backing down, I guess that just leaves backing sideways.
Can you tell us how tall he is and his weight? More than twice, at least. Perhaps slip the info into the middle of the article, too?
If you read the article above, you clearly would see that his contract balloons to $28 Mill next year. And he is not a $20 Million dollar QB. He is good enough to win a SB with a great team, and coaching around him.
If you read the article and understood the differences between salaries and cap numbers, you would not state that his contract balloons to $28 mill next year. It doesn't.
What did Garrett miss? He and the other two musketeers miss their proof reader. When I want to read a professionally written and truly informative article, I watch for Ken and John. I wish they could both do more articles.
The run game is fine, it's that you can't depend on it all the time and advertise that you are going to run it to be successful! Other teams read up on teams as well and will be looking for the run in the daytime with a flashlight! Smh what happened to our QB is the question?! And don't blame the WRs or the Defense either they don't throw INTs killing drives and our team!
Hey.....Far Below Average Joe (25th in NFL) got his big payday. It's just a job now. And to think.....he's a "leader" on the team. At least he got the team to sign his best bud (Pitta) to a ridiculous contract, too. I bet they sit around and have some good chuckles together.
Time for Oz to move on. And I really think he will after this season. He's lost his touch. We have a very capable replacement waiting. It's time.
Rare phrases that were seen in this article....."ball hawk", tipped passes". Weird.
The "turning point of the game" was the last play? Get real. What game did you watch?
Another thing is our great players are aging. Suggs, Dumervil, D. Smith, and Steve Smith all have two years left at most. When they all leave what position do you see this team if they do not get some play makers to replace them?
Yes. Time for the once great Oz to ride off into the sunset and grab some extra horses, as he will have company. No, it's not all his fault, but he needs to hang it up.
Another great article, John. I have no comment on the play of the Ravens and the coaching staff. Leave it at that.
Pretty much hit the nail on the head, we ca 't seem to get turnovers.
Our 3rd down defense is also pretty bad from what I recall. Every 3rd down conversion is a turnover in a way as the opponent gets 4 more plays as opposed to giving you the ball back(although they do change field position by punting).
I agree. Not sure, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Ravens were last in the NFL in third down defense. Throw that in w/all the three-and-outs from the Offense, w/being last in turnovers and that pretty much wraps it up. I hope things get better for the second half of the season, but there is just too much to fix. I also think it's time for Oz to retire. He's had a great run, but it's time for him to ride off into the sunset, along w/other major changes. It is what it is.

The Browns are tough to run on? You may want to do some research and see where they are currently ranked against the run.
