  1. Good luck, Buck. Here's your shot!! I agree that Juice should get more playing time, both as a runner and receiver. Heck, maybe Trestman will shock us all and even run some screens!! I know, I know. Dream on, right? Next thing I'll be dreaming about is Flacco using a pump fake or a misdirection play to actually fool a defense for once. Somebody wake me up. I swear Cam is actually still running our Offense.
  2. However, some of the dead money could have been avoided. Some couldn't. (Actually, it can all be avoided, but that's another story) Re-signing Pitta (to the contract he got) was not even close to being a smart move. But, he's Joe's best Bud.
  3. Givens didn't get any action because Average Joe looks at his first receiver, then freaks. He also stares down the one and only receiver. Next loss, watch him as he drops back. Take away his strong arm and you have a very ordinary QB. On a good day. But, he got his money.
  4. Hey, he can't be any worse than Marlon Brown. He would/should be gone, if we had anyone better, which should not be tough to find. He doesn't seem to be able to catch a cold.
  5. This team is in for a long, hard rebuilding phase that will take years to accomplish. Fans might as well get used to this. Also, the once great Oz will be retiring after this season, which I predict we go 4-12. Hey, it is what it is.
  6. Yeah, Below Average Joe didn't see him, since he always just locks in on the one guy he wants to throw to and if that guy isn't open, he freaks. Next game, just spend time watching him when he goes back to throw. No pump fakes, nothing but locking his eyes on one guy.
  7. Very well said and I totally agree w/it all. Be prepared to hear all the jaws flapping about salary caps now. Funny thing, the team up in NE ( and others)never seem to have the same issues. They lose players and have injuries just the same as every team, every year. Again....you hit it right on. Get ready for all the purple kool aide chuggin' fans to neg away. The truth hurts sometimes.
  8. The team may need a clean sweep after this 4-12 season we are about to endure.
  9. Marlon Brown is a waste of a roster spot. He's had way more than enough chances. Cut him. We really should be 0-5 and would be if Pittsburgh had their QB playing. It's just not our year. 'Nuff said.
  10. Kill his will to do well? Are you actually serious? Is this Pee Wee Football, w/little boys playing? Maybe, just maybe, his big salary he's collecting will offset his getting his little feelings hurt? Get real. Here's some tissue for you and him to go dry the tears. Amazing.
  11. Teams like the Browns and Bengals have been stockpiling draft picks for years. Cincy has began to put it all together. The Browns are a good Head Coach and QB away from being (possibly) as good sometime soon. I'm glad this is a home game. We need this one. Don't let it slip away, guys!!!
  12. Flacco quotes: our receiver situation "definitely not ideal". Then....."we wouldn't want it any other way". Ummmm......got it.
  13. Nahhh.....negs are a badge of honor. Purple kool aide chuggin' fans hate the truth. Especially when you get under the skin of a Flacco worshipper. Now, that's fun.
  14. Average Joe: "It's pretty easy". Apparently not, Joe. You sure make it look very tough sometimes.
  15. I hope you are right. Just what do you base your opinion on? Love to know.
  16. I'd rather see us bring up Butler. Give the man a real shot.
  17. We don't need either one of these guys and/or their attitudes. They'd be a poison in the locker room. They already complain about stuff publicly, what would happen if either came here and they didn't like it any better? I say pass on them both, especially White. Bring up Butler.
  18. Don't care much for your crazy idea. However, I have my own.......Buck Allen. Actually, I think he (or Crock) would be better suited for kickoffs, but we probably have better, more experienced options for punts. For punts, a player who gets going fast is better, I feel. Punters usually don't get a chance to "get going". That has to happen fast.
  19. I kind of agree. Since they moved up the kickoff line, we all see a heck of a lot more touchbacks, so kickoff returner isn't as important as it used to be. It just needs someone who can hang on to the ball and more importantly, make sound decisions on when to bring it out, which I think was a knock on Jacoby. I agreed that he too often brought it out, only to give us rotten field position. As for punt returner, I think that position has a different skillset required. I guess we'll all see what/who Harbs comes up with Sunday. I know it may be a bit off topic, (although not too much), it's always bugged me when they don't start the clock when a kickoff is made, instead, waiting to see if a kicker brings it out, then starting it. My feelings are that.....since players are blocking, being eligible to have penalties called on them, can and do get injured during a kickoff, the clock should be running when the kick is made. Ok....I'll get off my soapbox now. I just personally feel it's a dumb rule. Sorry if it's too much off topic.
  20. I guess San Diego missed the memo. Rivers went 23/38 for 358 yards, throwing to eight different receivers. I know, I know.....different personnel. I guess our Offense is just that much more inferior than San Diego's? Again....guess we'll see.
  21. I think I kind of understand why you say that, given the players both teams have, but I have to respectfully disagree. If we don't spread them out, it's going to be a very long day for our RB's and Average Joe. Guess we'll see.
  22. All good points. However, it will probably take a balanced approach to win this game, as with most. That, of course, means our TE's as well as the RB's all need to carry the load. It's when we become one dimensional and/or too predictable in our play calling(?) that a certain part of our game plan falters. In addition to that, in my opinion, we need to be able to keep adjusting to what Defenses are doing to slow us down. The Browns always seem to play us tough and, most likely, this game will be no different. Let's get a big and much needed "W" and stay healthy!!
  23. Might want to get the facts first.
  24. No way this fan will ever root for any Division rival in any game. That's just the way it is.
