I was born in 84, so I grew up knowing Baltimore didn't have a team but never really experienced the hate. The only hate I had was for the Redskins because it seemed they were shoved down my throat being the closest team to cheer for. So I never really had a strong hatred for the Colts, i just knew not to like them. Even reading the stories and watching the videos of the Colts leaving town that snowy night didn't grow my hatred because I never experience the feeling of "My Team" being ripped away from being.
Now fast forward to today and my son is 13 years old he barely even identifies Peyton Manning as a former Colts QB. He doesn't know the QB deprived years of the Ravens, all he knows is the playoffs every year ultra successful Ravens. He hates the Patriots and the Steelers but has not care about the Colts whatsoever. So I think that whole storyline is over. Especially after winning 2 SuperBowls, i think the only reason why the Browns still hate Baltimore is because they aren't having any success and being in the same division forces them to see all the Ravens success first hand.
He hates the Patriots and Steelers, something a Colts and a Ravens fans can agree on!
The defense hasn't been that good for a few years now. Flacco and the offense had to score to win.
To me the Ravens have been an offense first team the last few years.
He was a big gamble, now a bust.
Week 6- @49ers this could go either way and since it's on the west coast I'll lean towards a L
Week 7- @Cardinals- L
Week 8- Home Vs Chargers- W
Week 9- Much needed BYE week
Week 10- Home Vs Jaguars- W the Jaguars are not as bad but the Ravens are not as good this year
Week 11- Home Vs Rams- L Rams play in a tough division, they know how to finish games
Week 12- @Browns- W
Week 13- @Dolphins- W Dolphins are in worse shape than the Ravens
Week 14- Home Vs Seahawks- L Seattle is still to good
Week 15- Home Vs Chiefs- W Chiefs are hurting
Week 16- Home Vs Steelers- L Steelers will want revenge
Week 17- @Bengals- L

Players play the game for their job this season and next. Tanking is not in their genes.
Just beat the Steelers and for at least one week, all is Good.
Don't worry...
All the 0-2 teams will win this week..
Wow, read the original OP. prediction..Now I can agree it will be a tough year but not 6-10.
Week 1 at Denver will be a loss
Week 2 at Oakland will be a win.
Week 3 Home Opener with Cincinnati will be a win
Week 4 At Pittsburgh will be a loss
Week 5 Cleveland at home will be a win.
Week 6 At Niners will be a win
Week 7 at Phoenix will be a loss
Week 8 San Diego at home will be a win
Week 9 Bye
Week 10 Jacksonville at home will be a win.
Week 11 St. Louis at home will be a win.
Week 12 at Cleveland will be a win
Week 13 at Miami will be a loss
Week 14 Seattle at home will be a loss.
Week 15 Kansas City at home will be a win
Week 16 Pittsburgh at home will be a win.
Week 17 at Cincinnati will be a loss
there a 10-6 finish..
Gotta love the comments section.
yes they rip the author...
After the press conferences, my hatred for Belicheat went up, and yet I also gained some respect for Brady, much as I loathe him.
I believe Brady is innocent of wrong doing, but I'm beyond convinced Evil Bill was in on it.
I believe the opposite...Brady is lying so badly .
Do I remember when the ratings-hungry media created a buzzword for the masses to start mindlessly parroting?
I do.
Do you remember when two time Superbowl champion, Jimmy Johnson, admitted he did the same thing during his Cowboy runs, which he said he picked up from every other NFL team he worked for?
I do too.
Do you remember when all the geniuses who call the Patriots "cheaters" also put an asterisks next to Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irving?
Me neither.
Tell us when the Patriots last won a championship since Spygate?
I'm waiting
Perfect example of double standards is:
This morning on Mike and Mike, they were talking about the Irsay suspension and the fine... To them the biggest punishment to Irsay is the hit or damage to his reputation. They actually said... "Forget the suspension or the fine...." Where was all of that when they were discussing Ray? OR, any of the other guys. This guy is a multi-billionaire... it's true that this fine isn't going to be much of anything.... Not sayin... But Just sayin. They're giving these guys a pass as well.
They were also discussing the Domestic violence thing with the Niners.... and mentioning that Jim Harbaugh stated, when asked if a perpetrator of domestic violence would be allowed on his team" and he stated "absolutely not". And then referencing his brother.
My husband watches these guys every morning.... I find them appalling. They are the National Enquirer or the TMZ of TV Sports
A player with a first time offense would get a one game suspension, Irsay got 6 games.
And no, its not a perfect example of double standard.
J. Gordon, multiple issues, a year suspension is appropriate
R.Rice, one time issue, 2 games is appropriate.
Your husband is a smart guy, Mike and Mike are good.
I think it's better to let it go. This obviously isn't something funky wants to hear. We'll probably have to wait for the next negative or semi-negative event involving the Ravens to see him again.
No, I'm around for the good and bad. I'm just stating the truth from another NFL team perspective that see things for what they really are.
Ray Rice is a good person who made a mistake and deserves a chance to prove he still is a good person and I for one believe he will be. I have no issue with Rice, the kid is a great football player who just happen to make a mistake and now he he has to live with that. In time this will all go away.
What is really sad is that the Commissioner actually said exactly what I said.... that after the public outcry, he realized he "made a mistake". That's all... I read the letter..... and watched what was reported by the commissioner's office. I am aware.
and yet people who have bashed him all along are now taking up for him.....
who is taking up for him?
Yes he made a mistake on his ruling but going further penalties for domestic violence will be harsher now. The hard reality people fail to realize is it usually takes an action to get rules put in place so they don't happen again or punishment if they do.
AND.... even the judicial system handed down a much more lenient punishment based on the information that they had.... To even be having this discussion is ridiculous.... He's trying to cover his butt with ridiculous statements to placate the people.
No he is not, the Commissioner is tying to set standards for a NFL player to fallow in the wake of this incident.
Simple as that.
You keep saying that but you have no proof, either. We've seen the video of an unconscious Janay and the police reports stating Janay hit Ray and Ray hit her, knocking her out.
yes, and that video we all saw speaks volumes of that day.
I think given the circumstances, he didn't get it wrong at all, and I am a woman...... Given the circumstances, I don't know what happened.... nobody actually knows what went on between those two, and what even happened. All they see is Ray, who is apparently intoxicated, dragging his wife/girlfriend from an elevator... If they know more then he needs to share "why" they believe they got it so wrong..... And if not, then he's stating that he feels he got it wrong to placate the media and the people.
Anybody that doesn't wear the purple shades Mom Gene knows what happens. Stop the excuses.
But in saying that, Ray got 2 games and I can agree to that because of Rice's past history of a good player who does give back to the community and being this is his only blemish.
Not sure if I like the signing of S. Smith or not. 35 yrs old WR is a scare to me but I will hold judgement till September.
There is a reason why he got cut...
Agreed completely
Not at all
san fran is the same team we were a few years ago. dominant defense, young and promising qb, top 3 rb, top tier tight end, and a boatload of possession receivers with no speed. ill bet their season turns out like ours did too, wild card, loss in the divisional round to seattle, just like we lost to pitt 3 years ago. im calling it!
seriously...the 49ers were a few plays short of winning the Super Bowl. I agree with some of the similarities but this really helps them to get back to the big game.
On a side note Crabtree and Hanningham are their deep threats.
