Along with everything else Mallet brings to the table, his leadership is something the Ravens have sorely missed. The guy's been here what... 2 weeks, and did you see the way players were rallying around him during and after the game? People keep telling me; "It's only one game." Yes, I know, but a leader is a leader on day 1 & Mallet I predict, will cause plenty of consternation in Ravens city, as folks line up on two sides of the QB fence. We were 5 for 5 in third down conversions in the first quarter... what? And Mallet checked off a couple of plays sent in from the OC to get us there.

I think it's kind of insulting to talk about getting the #1 draft pick as being lucky, or anything to be desired. Because what it means is your team is a disaster -- the ultimate losers -- and the desire to win, no matter what the odds, is preferable to losing so you can get that ONE pick, hoping some messianic stud is going to turn losers into winners. If the Ravens aren't trying to win out the season, no matter how improbably, then I'd be ashamed to call them my team. Knowing Coach and the organization, winning is all they're thinking about, and letting the chips fall where they may. We've had a great team without a number one pick for most of our existence, no sense changing.

I love this football team. Oh yeah, we're gonna win on Sunday no doubt, because others still, will step up. The defense will play that much better. The Offensive line will open up holes, Matt Shaub will have one of his best games in years, and we'll run for over 130 yards. Why? Because we needed a leader -- someone to step up and take Ray's place as a motivator on the field. We needed that guy who would uplift his fellow players, put them on his back and carry his team to victory, and baby, the Cleveland win solidified and created that leader. Only thing; it's not just one guy, it's the whole Ravens football team -- coaches, staff, owner -- each and every one of them believes, and is on FIRE -- burning with desire to prove one thing: it's not how you start, but how you finish! Go Ravens!!

It's a whole new Ravens offense now. I was proud of Schaub for not letting the pressure get to him after the pick-6, and stepping up to make some plays to get it back. Matt and the Ravens have an opportunity to do something amazing, by winning out, and seeing where the chips fall. If any team could do it, the Ravens can! I remember the first time we won the SB with a team that couldn't score a touchdown for six straight games. Besides, why would this season be any different? The Ravens always come on strong at the end, and become a nightmare for other teams making the playoffs. Go Ravens!!

When we picked up Matt Schaub this year, I thought, wow... here's a guy who could actually come in and make a diference. Hate to see Flacco go down, but it's next man up. I have a good feeling about Javorius Allen. Think we're going to see some magic this week. Schaub can make all the throws - he's beaten us before. Plus, he has quick feet -- drops back lickity-split and releases. Can dice up a defense with short passes, and then let one fly -- on a dime. Could get interesting

Ray Lewis was/is simply, a natural born leader. But more important, he could be accepted as the teams leader by the other players because he was the best linebacker in the NFL -- every body knew that. Ray was leading players on other teams. Joe Flacco isn't that kinda leader -- he leads with stellar play. When the offensive line opens up holes to run through, and gives Joe time -- he makes plays. With the exception of the one blown coverage mistake - the secondary was playing great ball I thought against Rivers. Things could get real interesting Winning is the best motivation
