  1. I really hope we can get Dwayne Bowe. Apparently, the Browns have serious interest in him. Ozzie needs to pull the trigger and sign Bowe before he goes to the Factory of Sadness and wastes his career away.
  2. Looking at his stats, I have to say I'm kind of excited about this signing. Lewis seems like he has a nose for the ball. He has 9 total interceptions in five seasons. His pass coverage technique needs work, but I feel like he will be a major contributor to our secondary this year.
  3. The next great Lewis for us on defense? Never heard of him before, but looking at his stats it's safe to say he is an upgrade over Stewart.
  4. Ideally, what should happen this coming season is Will Hill moves to FS, and Elam moves to SS, his natural position. We should get our CB situation settled, which means that Elam won't have to move around and play different positions. Elam has had bad luck since he got here, though. His first season here he couldn't play SS because Ihedigbo was already the starter. This season we were hit hard with injuries at the CB position and as a result Elam had to play the nickel corner role which he failed miserably at. You can't blame all of it on bad luck, however, because he does have his share of tackling and coverage issues. Those issues can and will be corrected this offseason, imo. During 2015 season, Elam should be the full-time starting SS, barring any injuries. Because of this, I think we will see Elam improve his game this coming season.
  5. Well one thing's for sure: getting a big-name WR through the draft or FA is the most important priority now. We all saw how Chicago's offense thrived when they had Jeffery and Marshall on the field.
  6. Per ESPN.com: *QB Keith Wenning: He was a sixth-round draft pick out of Ball State who spent the entire 2014 season on the practice squad. Wenning improved throughout the summer and he showed potential by the preseason finale. He finished 10 of 17 for 140 yards for a 85.4 passer rating in the preseason. 7. Did you guys forget about Keith Wenning? I think he could be a serviceable QB, especially with Marc 'QB Whisperer' Trestman as our OC/QB coach. Wenning showed promise during the preseason last year.
  8. While I don't really care for Gase being our OC, I think it's more likely that he comes here rather than go to Jacksonville. The Jags are rebuilding and they will want an OC who will stay in place for a few years. With us, however, we would be able to get Gase a HC opportunity which he would probably jump at.
  9. After the Broncos made that shift, they crashed and burned completely. They lost to teams they should've beat, and it ultimately resulted in them losing in the playoffs. If we hire him, I don't want that to happen to our offense.
  10. True, but don't you think the FO wants continuity with the OC? I'm sure they don't want to have to find a new OC every offseason. Sure, we are in a good position to make a run at the SB for this season and the forseeable future, but that doesn't mean we should get a new OC every season. If Gase comes in we would be learning a whole new scheme, and that might hurt us offensively. We had some growing pains earlier in the season with Kubiak's ZBS scheme, and we would have similar struggles learning an all new offensive scheme. I think that our team is good enough to take a chance on a relatively unknown OC. We have the playmakers on offense to do so.
  11. I don't want Gase. He is a good offensive coordinator no doubt, but he was looking to become a head coach this offseason. That means that if we hire him, he will be another one year rental like Kubiak and we will be searching for another OC next offseason. We need someone who wants to stay in Baltimore, not leave as soon as the season is over.
  12. Am I the only one who DOESN'T want Steve Smith? Sure, he's had a great career and all, but he is past his prime. We need to use the money on picking up a FS or another TE. I think we should get Clemons at FS and Owen Daniels at TE and draft a WR in the first round. I'd rather have a 1st round rookie who is fresh than a 35 year old receiver who is past his prime.
