I could definitely see that, maybe even three. Four if the Colts lose tonight too (I think they make the playoffs irrespective of their result tonight unless Luck gets injured for the season or something ridiculous like that).
Man, how crazy a season would that be?
Teams who start 0-2 have an 11% chance of making the playoffs but it has happened with one 0-2 team in each of the last two seasons.
I have to say, guys…Joe Flacco is not your problem. No QB has a great game every game. But he did enough to win today.
Unfortunately now I have to hear about how shazier is the second coming of christ from all the steelers fans in the bar
Nah, just a fast, hard hitting player with a nose for the ball.
Am I wrong or is faceguarding the receiver without thurning around to play the ball, pass interference?
The face guarding rule was changed a couple years back. Its no longer an automatic penalty if you don't look back. However, you still aren't supposed to have hands to the face.
Tucker is money for you guys. Manning looks like he might be done. Cant throw deep, falls down if anyone is near him. This is definitely his swan song.
I really don't want to hear all about the Seattle "repeat" and how they're now a dynasty because they've been relevant for two years but.....NE needs to lose and lose badly.
It seems to me that Ravens fans would appreciate what the Seahawks are doing. Playing football the old-fashioned way…winning with hard-nosed defense. Would you rather see Cowboys vs. Patriots in a 48-37 game? I don't get the Hawks Hate. They are a really fun team to watch and any team with defensive swag is helping save the NFL in my book. Go Hawks!
At least with the Steelers is a dislike out of respect.....With the Pats it is down right hatred.
Same here.
You know its bad when there is a whole thread in the Steeler Fever Forums apologizing to Ravens fans for rooting for the Cheatriots in the Divisional Round. LOL. Mutual hate of the Taperiots-Deflatriots is making the brothers in the AFCN so mad that we're actually momentarily getting along. ROFLOL!
Belicheck, "Growl, snarl, growl, growl, snarl, hedge, hedge, snarl."
Brady, "Blah, blah, blah, blah, if that's what the Colts want to do, snarkety-snark, blah, blah, blah, blah."
Kickers use a whole different batch of balls...the ones with the K on them.
I was actually just trying to be funny…however, I did not know kickers used a whole separate set of balls. Thanks for the info, wise one!
Learn something new every day!
I'm just frustrated. After watchin the fiascos of games last weekend, I feel the Ravens could've beaten the both the Colts and Seahawks for title #3. The recent report that the Patriots likely tampered weith their balls for the game with Indy is disturbing. It's like they just can't stop cheating. The link provided also goes on to say that the Ravens coaching staff also suspected this during the Ravens-Patriots game before Indy got blown out.
Improperly inflated balls might not have saved Indy in that beatdown of a game, but a closer game like Baltimore's could make all the difference.
Honestly, are the refs going to have to start carrying balls to the games now? And should the Pats be punished for this? Video-gate, illegal line ups and now this? I think ol' Billy-fairplay needs another $500k fine or fork over some draft picks.
Have to disagree with you here. In fact, I think the Ravens should be thankful the Hawks blew their comeback over the Falcons two years ago….
You have to wonder, why all but 1 were deflated? Maybe to help cover it up?
They saved one for the kicker. Kickers like the ball inflated as much as possible. This shows how many people were in on it.
I agree with all of this, except that BB should get one year suspension. Peyton got 1 year for his crime ( his first infraction ). This is now the Patriots second infraction and one that is in the same vein as the first. An Iron Fist must hammer down... this is garbage! There's really zero reason for the NFL to NOT hamstring them for a number of years, IMO! Look at the Cowboys and Redskins salary cap deal... those teams were crippled for not keeping the spirit of the cap in mind... THESE scumbags have CHEATED in real-time game situations for likely YEARS.... for the SECOND TIME!
Well, we don't often agree….but this is just over the top garbage. I hope your right and the penalty is severe.
I think it might be wise to hear what the NFL has discovered before we start discussing punishment. I definitely hope that the referees also took the Colts balls and tested their pressure as well.
Already reported. Colts balls were normal inflation.
Ravens Fans - a couple thoughts on this issue. First, I really can't believe some of you are saying, "The score was 45-7 so it doesn't matter." THAT IS COMPLETELY BESIDE THE POINT. The Patriots have created a culture of cheating. The Colts are reporting they thought patriots had under inflated balls in their earlier meeting and at least one other NFL team says they were suspicious about this issue in a game in November. Perhaps Brady and the Pats have been doing this consistently or even off and on for years. If it wasn't an advantage, they wouldn't do it. Just think of the games it may have impacted over the last decade. Think of the close battles you guys have had with them. Think of the fact that if they would cheat like this, how else do they cheat and have not been caught? Personally, I think this sucks.
Second - this culture of cheating is just garbage. These guys present themselves as the "class organization of the NFL". What a joke. Bellicheat ought to get the Peyton Punishment…one year out of the league. If Pretty Boy has been asking for deflated balls for years (which I suspect)…his legacy is tainted.
It doesn't mean the Pats haven't had an awesome run or that Brady isn't a great QB. It just means that these guys are consistent cheaters who have repeatedly broken the rules or twisted the rules to gain a competitive advantage. My Patriot hatred is on a whole new level. I love/hate our battles with the Ravens. My "hate" for the Ravens is because you make it so hard for us to reach our goals. But the Pats are just freaking armpit, cheating jerks.
The entire point of his first Super Bowl commercial with his mother was to push his political agenda...
I see your point. My view of that is that human life transcends "political agenda."
Ok I absolutely hate Tim Tebow but that commercial was pretty good. At least he isn't pushing his political agenda this time.
He never has…its other clueless people who project that on to him.

I figured Ed for a smart guy…thought he would have invested.
What do Raven's fans think is Ed Reed's motivation for continuing to play? Actually, the Jets are probably a good fit for him. I wish him success. For me, he is one of those guys that has been around long enough had so much success that you tip your hat to him even if he did play for your hated rival. Good luck, Ed.

The Jets D is playing great but the Colts are not executing well. They don't look very good on offense right now.
