I think Dalton has been a product of being around such talented players.  He looked great last year, but that's when everything was going right.  Joe needs talent around him as well, but he shows up when it matters.  I predicted they would go 8-8 this year, definitely didn't think they would look this horrible.

Doesn't appear they ever recovered from their playoff implosion against the Steelers.

  2. It would be better if we were battling each other for the division AND a first round bye. However, Steelers and Ravens tied, Five games to go, another head to head remaining....doesn't get much better than this for the AFCN.

3-2 is not a bad record in the NFL. But that is looking at it face value. When you dwelve deeper, the Ravens have 11 games left. They have 3 games of "they should be able to win" in the Browns, Dolphins and Jets.

Honestly, the other 8 of them, there honestly a toss up. And with the way this offense is right now, a majority of them are probably in the other teams favor, at the moment.

They have the Giants, Steelers X2, Bengals X2, Cowboys, Patriots and the Eagles.

So let's say they win the 3 softer games. That gets them to 6-2. Go out on a limb and say that 10 wins gets us to the playoffs. That means they have to go 4-4 in those 8 games. That isn't too tall of a task, but with the way the offense is playing, I don't see it happening.

Like I said earlier, 3-2 isn't bad but when you have a murderers row to finish off the season, the Ravens FO and fans would feel a lot more comfortable 5-0/4-1.

I understand your points...I guess division games (excluding the Browns) are always, "Throw out the record," as last year proved. Can the Cowboys and Eagles sustain a high level of play, especially at QB? Five games in the Ravens are in the thick of it. It's amazing how close you guys came to being 5-0.

    1. Dak Prescott - No way

    2. Derek Carr - Maybe

    3. Josh McClown - Seriously?

    4.Carson Wentz - not a chance

5.The Big Ben - Or course, but I'm a Steeler fan

    Honorable Mention: Jim Harbaugh

Joe will always have a place in my heart but to be real...the guy never improves.

Do you guys look around at the league at Quarterback play? Joe may not be great, but he has accomplished a heck of a lot more than most QBs who started for NFL teams today.

  5. Decided to look up the Patriots playoff record against us and other AFC Teams since 2009. When playing other AFC Teams in the playoffs, they are 5-2, with other losses coming from the Jets in 2009 & Denver in the AFC Title Game in 2013. When they play us, it's a bit different. They are 2-2 against us in the playoffs, only batting .500 when playing the Ravens. Also the points per game allowed by other AFC Teams is insane.

    Patriots vs Rest of AFC

Patriots Scoring Average vs Other AFC Teams: 34 Points Per Game

Patriots vs AFC Teams Record: 5-2

    Patriots vs Ravens in Playoffs:

Patriots vs Ravens Playoff Record: 2-2

Patriots Scoring Average vs Ravens: 21.25 Points Per Game

Have to agree. Ravens are about the only team that doesn't just lay down for these guys.

  6. And the records been, what, 8-3 us since Harbaugh took over?

The Ravens are 8-3 in the last 11 games, including 3 in a row and 4 of the last 5. However, that stretch is what allowed Harbaugh gain a winning record. He is now 10-9 against the Steelers in his tenure. He and the Ravens definitely have had the upper hand over the last several years with a more recent Super Bowl.
