It's not a choke. It's a typical game against the Pats.
Next year I am rooting for you guys to make the playoffs. Our only chance is if you eliminate the Patriots for us.
First of the two pretty boys going down today. Hope the other one follows.

I was at the first game he played in 2004 and have watched him enough over the years to know when he is playing well and when he's not. If it were not for Brown and Bell it would have been the Ravens(as bad as they were this year) beating KC yesterday. Ben's play has been mediocre at best.
So "mediocre at best" quarterback play has won 9 games in a row, a division title and a trip to the AFC Championship. What the heck. The NFL must be minor league footblah, blah, blah. Ben's fine. The Steelers have a legit shot at another Super Bowl. Not bad for mediocre at best.

The Patriots are usually very good against Pittsburgh. And I have a feeling that a game in NE will put an end to the mysteriously missing offensive holding penalties against the Steelers o-line.
The Steelers O will make plays against NE, but I think Brady makes a few more. I'll take the Pats in this one.
Why would any rational person who believes the NFL favors the Steelers put so much time and passion into watching the sport?

Seriously? The Steelers dominated that game.
1 hour ago, Tank 92 said:Don't get me wrong because I hope they kill the patsies, but Ben has really sucked and no TDs is hardly clicking.
AB and Rogers both had TD's in their hands and uncharacteristically failed to finish the catch. That was an anomaly. For those of us who have watched Ben every week for over a decade, he is rarely pretty, but he is a winner. I don't think he sucked in that game.

Also, Chiefs win because I picked them to go all the way.
"No way" is pretty strong. If the Chiefs knock out my Steelers I hope they do go all the way. Three of the four games are tough to call. I'm not digging in on my picks, they are just my best shot at it.
Road teams fare better this weekend:
Seahawks 27 - Falcons 24 - Key turnover. Rawls plays keep-away from Matty Ice.
Patriots 30 - Texans 17 - Pats score early and late, game stays within reach until mid way through the 4th quarter
Steelers 24 - Chiefs 20 - Run D cannot stop Bell in the cold rain. Ben throws less than 20 passes.
Packers 31- Cowboys 27 - Aaron Rodgers vs. Rookie in a shoot out. Dante Adams channels Jerry Rice.

Dang. Let's just cancel the games and hand the Pukes the trophy then. Of course, since 2004, the only one they have was the one the Seahawks handed them...so on second thought...let's play the games.

Don't worry. If the Steelers advance to play the Chiefs, everyone in here will be able to legitimately pick against them next week!
Over the next month, the seasons of 11 NFL teams will end with a disappointing, perhaps crushing, defeat. It's a certainty, like the sudden arrival of Cowboys bandwagon fans, Patriots controversies and Robert Griffin III congratulating himself for being Robert Griffin III. One team, however, will emerge from that cloud of dust to win the Super Bowl. - Chris Chase.
My picks for the first round:
Texans - their Defense will be enough with Carr out. 20-13
Seahawks - Hawks grind out a home field win. 21-18
Steelers - During their winning streak, the Steeler defense went from 23 to 7 and ultimately finished 10th. 31-17
Giants - This is my upset special. Green Bay running game sputters, Eli has a good day. 28-27

First time in a long time we have had a good and healthy offensive line stay together for the season. Linemen are not recognized as play makers...but those guys did their job very, very well.
10 minutes ago, Militant X 1 said:I've said this all season and will say it again OU...."This Ravens team is not as good as we think they are or as we'd like for them to be!" Their performance last night is proof positive of that. Seems like Clifton Brown agrees with me...
In the end, watching the Steelers’ dangerous targets reminded several media members that the Ravens simply don’t have the playmakers to keep up. And, the search for said playmakers will continue this offseason.
“The Ravens wish they had that array of playmakers, but they don’t,” wrote CSNMidAtlantic.com’s Clifton Brown. “And unless the Ravens find a way to become a more explosive team offensively, the Steelers could continue to be the team to beat in the AFC North for the next several years.
I expect to see some major roster changes.
I have nothing but respect for the Ravens. They have had the best of the Steelers over the last several years. They laid two losses on us last year without as strong of a team. They almost swept us again. If AB doesn't reach that ball over the line, this whole conversation is different. I do have to say this, Bell and Brown are big playmakers. But on that last drive, Jesse James, Eli Rogers, Ayers and Hamilton all caught balls. If Tom Brady did that, the commentators would be raving on and on about how he leads his team down the field with nobodies. Bad Ben came out early, but Ben was pretty darn awesome in the 4th Quarter.

The Raiders may have had a shot but Carr's injury ended that.
Yes. Please fire your head coach. He built his team to beat the Steelers and in the last few years is 10-6 against us. He won 4 of the last 5 meetings. He won 4 of the last 7 in our house. He won the last playoff game in Pittsburgh. He made today a nightmare. Yes. Please fire him.
Unbelievable game. Holy cow. Truthfully, Flacco did what he needed to win by leading a late drive on the road in Pittsburgh, again. He plays his best football against the Steelers. Sheesh. I'm exhausted.

Please remember the way this game has been called so far when you think there is an NFL conspiracy with calls favoring the Steelers.

I can see our teams being close for the drafting success - though I think you guys kill us when it comes to drafting WRs.
Ya, but between drugs and injuries, we can't keep them on the field.

I have NFL Ticket. It plays every game that is not on your local network TV.
4 hours ago, frozen joe flacco fan said:No way, Jose! The Wizard and I have agreed on many things but he has crossed the line this time like James Patterson, the author . There's no way Big Ben and his merry men will score 34 points in the first half. They won't even score 34 points in the game. If that were to happen, I suspect Harbaugh and Newsome would be on the last train to Clarksville. If that happens, they should be run out of town on a rail. I have said all along that this team is a bunch of underachievers. They have enough talent to beat the Squeelers if they are coached properly. The high powered Steelers offense that the Wizard raves about has scored 341 points in 14 games while our offense has scored 306 points. By my 'rithmetic, that's less than 3 points a game more. Whoopie! The Wizard is right about one thing though. He predicted we would win 6 games and we have! If this goes as it should, we will win 6 + 4 = 10 games. See! There's more than one Wizard in this town, Mr. Broken Spirit. I predicted the final score long before the Wizard did and I said our beloved Ravens would win the game on a Justin Tucker field goal by a score of 23-20. Nothing has changed. Unlike the Cincy Bungles who laid down in the 2nd half against the Squeelers, the Ravens will lay the wood to Big Ben and his band of men. All the terrible towels in the world and Mike Tomlin trying to trip our receivers will not intimidate the unflappable Joe Flacco and the twin Grinches, named Wallace and Smith, who will steal Christmas from the Steelers on Christmas Day in Spittsburgh, PA. By game's end, your team's colors will change from black and yellow to black and blue and your terrible towels can be used for crying towels. Elvis (Doomerville, that is) will be singing his rendition of Blue Christmas to your fans. The General will have his way with Big Ben. Son, this is gonna be fun!!!
Anyone who makes a Monkees reference can't be all bad.
And this game is exactly why division match-ups are so unpredictable and nerve racking!
1 hour ago, wizard1 said:This is a very easy game to predict. Since the Steelers actually have an offense and we continue to play Har-ball the outcome is obvious. Bell puts up big numbers against us and this game is over by half time. 34-14 Steelers and so the farce ends.
Also no need to predict the Bengals game since it is totally irrelevant and nobody really cares anyway. In the off season I hope everyone takes the time to stand up and say it's time to replace the Harbaugh regime. Only then can the Ravens begin to heal and move forward.
Since I am a die-hard Ravens fan I will be back next year and shall continue my rants against a dysfunctionally run John Harbaugh system of football and I will not rest until he is run out of town on the next thing smokin and takes Ozzie Newsome with him.
Wow! Dear Santa, please let the Ravens listen to this guy for Christmas.
