  1. Like Big Ben.....Joe Flacco is 34. Ben has commented that he may not be back for the 2017-2018 season. Due to injuries and always being shacked. The Ravens have about 2 to 3 years (maybe more) before Joe starts to think about retiring as well. He hasn't been as hurt as Ben has but he has also taken a beating in that division. The Ravens normally get a 2nd stringer that is basically a Band-Aid quarter back and not a real long term replacement. But now that Joes getting older and they are pushing for another Superbowl. Now might be the right time to pick Alek Torgersen up and develop him now so in 2 or 3 years. He can be ready. Of course if he doesn't look good then trade him and draft another guy in the next year. I know Pittsburgh is also thinking about Bens replacement. Do I hear ROMO going to the Steelers? As for the Ravens...take a look at Alek Torgersen from Penn. He could be the sleeper in the draft! And what ever you do. Don't waste time and money on a 3rd stringer back up.
  2. I feel your pain. What they don't get is simple. You need to make those 3rd down plays. That means stop with the 1 yard check down pass's, stop with the run up the middle when it's 3rd and 12, stop under-throwing the deep ball to wide receivers. Its all about 3rd down. When Joe's in trouble. he needs to get steppin and start running. He needs to throw between zones and over the middle. All of those are big changes that need to be made. Don't get me started on the D. Lets see how the draft goes!
  3. Suggs was correct. We need some major changes.Besides a few games we looked horrible. I am sorry for all your homers but I refuse to drink the purple kool aid. So where to start? When you win no body points the finger, but when you loose. Its a feeding freind-zee. So let me get to the report card. Offence - C Deffence - C + Special Teams - C The record speaks for its self. At 8 & 7 with a Pct. of .533 you can't expect to go anywhere but home. The good and the bad and the ugly. Well here it is. So if your thin skinned, then stop reading now. The O-line was the worst I have seen in years. Poor Yanda what a tuff year from him. Stanley the rookie and Yanda the seasoned veteran were the best O-line men we had. The rest of the crew in the trenches needs to step up and I mean big time. Was it coaching? Was it the horrible Offence play book? We all know you win and loose games because of the guys on the O-line and D-line. So I hope we can get a O line much like the Cowboys have designed. Run blocking and Pass blocking are the ingredients that can can help everyone. From WR's to Joe. Now lets move to the RB's. Considering what I just wrote, they did very well. Dixon and West were a great tag team. But they need help. I would like to to see more plays to the RB's out of the back field. Now Wide Receivers (WR). First off I want to tell Steve Smith congrats on a great, great career. I only wish we would have gotten you 16 years ago. You have that grit and fight that Ray Lewis had, that many of those guys had. You deserved to be a Raven and we will truly miss you. The wide receivers have some major issues. Again not sure if its the lack luster play book or the lack of discipline with "tree routs" or execution (dropped balls in the red zone). It was very very disappointing. Dropped balls happened all the time. Mr. Mike Wallace was like lightening when he was able to make a catch, but as always like in the past, he had issues catching the ball. We were suppose to have all these great talents with great speed and depth. So what happened?? I do know we had no creative plays and our WR's had a horrible time getting separation. Get Open. Simple. Now on to Mr. Flacco. Joe,...Joe...Joe.....where do I start. Consistency Joe. One game your hot and the next 3 your not. I won't start my bashing you Joe, but I will say when you drop back in the pocket and you feel pressure you have to get the heck out of trouble and start running. You wait to long and then you get sacked or get stripped. Run Forest, run! That is just one issue Joe. The other 2 issues are this. When you do decide to go deep. Then please, please, please stop under throwing your wide receivers. I would rather see you over throw a WR then watch him stop running and wait for the ball. It happens way to much. Now the biggie. You need to throw in between zones and coverage. If we are 3rd down and 14 to go. Then we need to create something. Like Ben does. Checking down for a 1 yard pass almost never works. Again it's complicated and it could be the lack luster play book, but the Steelers sure had no problem making a play when they needed it. The D ~ The line was ok and very good at times. Except during the last 4 games. They feel apart. Lack of sacks was evident. The line backers did all they could but they need to shoot the gap and hit the holes before the plays develops. Don't wait for the runners to hit the hole. By then its too late. Now the secondary. Wow where do I even start? Blown coverage and mixed confusion on many plays. Soft coverage was a major down flaw. We all saw it happen like a train wreck. Was it coaching?? or lack of true talent? You tell me. Special Teams ! Tucker...Tucker....Tucker. Man you are da man A+ . I know you guys muffed the 3 pt at the Steelers and that was painful. In bag games you need to shoulder all those moments. Regardless you you guys were very good. Coaching~ I hope Harbaugh stays and he should. But everyone else should be evaluated and if changes are needed. Then don't wait! Draft Picks - We need to shore up the O line and we need to do it fast! Second...get a few DB's that are shut down corners. We got burned over and over throughout the entire year. It has to stop. Older Players vs Money - After what I have seen ever since Joe Flacco stole the bank. We need to get rid of some of the older players. I won't say who they are, but we all know. Its not about how much we love them. Its about winning. Not everyone is Harrision from Pittsburgh. Hard to believe he was once a Raven and we let him go. We need some tuff, smart, and talented players if we plan on making a serious run next year. If not then Ozzie may need to step down. Yep I said it. So that is my 2 cents worth. What do you think?? 4. Very sad and very disappointing. So many weak spots on the Ravens it's hard to nail them down. Lack of offensive blocking both run and pass blocking. Joe has been inconsistent and spotty throughout the year. Wide receivers dropped way to may balls. The Offence had no real creative plays and we struggled executing the simple plays. Wide receivers were hard pressed to get separation from the defender. The secondary played on their heals and let to many big plays happen right in front of them. Lastly we failed to play a full game. We were out-played in the 4th quarter on almost every game. With all that being said. We need to make some serious adjustments. The positive is Dixon and West. The D line was ok until the end of the season. Draft a secondary guy and a O lineman and get some pass plays that are 10 to 15 yard patterns. Not the 1 yard passes and check downs that killed us all season long. A big Thank you to Mr. Steve Smith who showed the other wide receivers how to play the game. Please , please, please come back for 1 last season. Peace Out
  5. The Defense can't be on the field constantly. We need to move the ball and eat up time. For goodness sake. We have Tucker who can kick the ball so we only need to get to the 35 yard line for 3 point. Not that I want to settle for that, but even if we get close. Tucker will nail it! Teams would love to have that option. Now the O line is the key and everyone knows it. Sure all the parts need to work together but the O line can make of break any team. With all that said. I see 3 things on the Offence that are troubling. Blocking (both run and pass) needs to be consistent. We have no real great offence plays. I saw 2 or 3 that were impressive and creative. Other then that. Its a very basic vanilla play book. Wide receivers need to get separation and run tight Tree Routs. Pure speed is good but you need deceptive moves and tactical routs. Lastly..JOE. I hate to be the party pooooper but JOE you hold the ball way to long. When your in trouble, tuck it and run man!! Your throw to Steve Smith for the TD was one of the best I have seen from you all year. But 1 Pass won;t cut it. Stop with wide out check down pass for 1 yard when we need 14 yards for a first down. If you think that we can beat the Steelers with an Offence so predictable and so sub-par then you are Dreaming!! Joe you need to make those In-Between coverage Passes. And we need to get the Tight Ends more involved and used not just for blocking! Our Super run Starts in Pittsburgh this weekend.
  6. I love Jimmy Smith but man...he is always hurt! I know he plan on getting hurt but he needs to get healthy and STAY healthy. He;s almost as bad a Percy Harvin! Last week...So many mistakes on secondary and again No real offence. I can't believe with all the talent we have. Our "GO TO" play last week was a wide out throw behind the line of scrimmage in hopes that we can get a break away. Mooringwig...here is a heads up. Criss Cross...Stack em....Screen...Shovel pass... The Play book looks like it came from Dunbar High School. Get creative and have a plan. God knows New England did!
  7. Lets not make things more complicated then it needs to be. Lets be very simple. Poor Basic Skills and Lack of Execution. Either we have the talent on the field or we don't. More coaching is needed. Better coaching is needed. And if Joe was as hurt as he says he was, then he needs to sit. Not that I want a 2nd stringer QB in there, but those throws were horrible. When you loose. You can blame it on every position on the field. We have the Steelers in 2 weeks. We better not go on vacation and start drinking beer while we have them coming into town.
  8. True the O line actually did very well considering, and yes we even had some runs that went very well. But lets stop drinking the Kool-Aid for a second. They couldn't run the ball on the 1 yard line to score. Horrible!! Still ranks second in Offence in the NFL. Horrible The O line has major injuries. Bad situation even though the new line did dam good this past week. Corner backs still can't cover a bed, even if you gave them a blanket. Sad Joe still is the most inconsistent QB and that doesn't matter who the O line is. He missed some wide open receivers and his decision making is rated a D- He can't run and he can't throw into coverage. Sure he has a cannon of a arm and can throw the deep ball. Unless it's under thrown again and again D-line I believe got (1) sak all day. If we don't get some real solid draft picks next year and get some real back up players my guess is Ozzie could be walking out the door. Decosta is the air apparent so he will stay. Harbaugh is on a short leash and he knows it. Thus the life in the NFL. We need better players and we need to get guys that are younger and stay healthy. Like they said. NO ONE'S JOB IS SAFE!
  9. Lets face it. We can make excuses and pretend that all of our so called Star players are great, but truth is,..many are not. So if you want to drink the purple kool-aid then you better stop reading now. The O-line actually played pretty darn good considering the injuries and all the changes this week. Sure I can go on about the secondary and how they blew it. But the main reason we lost was still the same issue. The offence that is 2nd to last in the NFL. That's right 2nd to last. So even though Marty's new play calling was much better then Tresman's. We still didn't score like we could have or should have. Heck we couldn't even punch the ball in the end zone on the 2 yard line. Well it's time to get real now and some people won't like what I am about to say. Joe Flacco is a nice guy and a great family man. However he is not and I repeat, NOT a elite QB. Sad to say but so true. He missed several wide open receivers. I mean several. Some were wide open in the end zone and there is no excuse. Plus even though he has a monster arm. He is not accurate. Not even close. It's time we get honest and real. We need to draft a QB and start developing a true accurate QB. He miss reads plays and is was to unpredictable and not consistent. He lacks the touch. It's tuff to admit it, but it is true. We will never win another Superbowl as long as he is the QB. It's time to start looking for a long term replacement.
  10. TAG LINE: NO OFFENCE AGAIN Look lets face it. Even if we had real good line man ( and we don't ) Marc Tresman has a high school play book. We were 2nd and 20 and 3rd and 20 and he ran the ball up the middle. Come on man. You can not tell me that with all that experience and all the offensive minds over there. That is what he decided to call??? Give me a break. Its the same problem the Bears had with Tresman. Same mind set and same results. Yea..we had a few banged up line men but that is not always the excuse. I remember when they fired Cam for less. You will see the same results as we go forward. From game 1 to game 7 to game 15. Nothing will change. Mark My Words. NO Blocking, NO Wide Receiver Separation....NO Creative Plays. NO WIN AGAIN!! Horrible
  11. True ..Joe did take a few sacks, but that is no excuse for over throwing the full back on the 3 yard line, plus he still is Under throwing all the deep receivers. Tressman has brought his Chicago Offence to Baltimore. So how do you like it so far Baltimore??? Not so much I am guessing. There so much wrong with this picture. No O-line, No open receivers, No separation, No creativity on plays. Yep...that's the Tressman playbook. Hey Joe just a quick tip. If your gonna get slammed in the pocket. The tuck it and run. Even if you get 2 yards and slide that is better then a snack. beside they won't hit you. They can't without a huge penalty. Come on Man
  12. I do not want this to be a Joe Flacco Bashing so I will be direct. The entire offence is horrible and has been since week one. The problem starts with the Top. Mark Tressman has brought his lack luster offence to Baltimore from Chicago. Its the same issues and the same problems they have had up there for years. Not to mention the O line can't protect and can't open any holes for the running backs. Its really very simple. Sure we have a 2nd string L guard and L tackle but Joe still can't hit the Full back on the 3 yard line. He missed a wide open Full back. Then when we do take a chance to stretch the field. Joe under throws the wide receivers almost all the time. The play book is so lack luster, I can get better plays from a high school play book. Hey guys do your self a big favor and watch the Steelers play book open up and watch the Patriots when they get a miss match. Heck we have 2 really fast wide receivers and even in motion they still can't get any separation. Stop making excuses and make a change. I remember when they fired CAM and we went to the Superbowl. Start steeling decent plays that work. Your play book is so predictable it's not even funny. Perhaps you can have Joe draw a tree route in the grass so everyone knows how to get open. Sad
  13. REF: OFFENCE ITEM: LACK THERE OF Please someone take Tressemans High School Play Book away from him. There is NO creative plays, No miss-direction, No Surprise, and No receiver separation. Short passes (2 to 5 yrd) passes to Pitta and NO deep ball threat. If I see one more under thrown deep ball I will scream! Please, please review the play book that the other successful teams have in there playbook. And steel a few!! It looks like a typical Ted Marchibroda Play book. Run up the middle twice and throw a 7 yard pass for a 4th and 3. STOP IT!! Regards Europoljuice
  14. I know he is not a "flashy" pick and we could have had a J. Ramsy if Jax had not taken him, but remember Monroe is always down and always hurt. He never finishes a season and we must protection Joe. Plus 50% of the number 1 picks are a bust. So picking a solid guy with very, very good top level talent will prove a asset down the road. Perhaps Ozzie may even trade Monroe as the season goes on. Someone always needs a LT. Lets see what the 2nd and 3rd round brings.

    1. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

I'm as excited as anyone for Stanley. The only thing I questioned with him was the core and leg strength, but he has the NFL weight room available to him.

Clean prospect on and off the field, no durability issues, high character, intelligent. I'm very excited.

As for rounds two and three, let's go Kendall Fuller and Noah Spence/Kevin Dodd...

  15. Lets face it, the issue is money. Money is always where you can trace almost any issue. So with that being said. We can't afford to get the top talent. Why? Cause none of those top tied players are willing to take a cut and renegotiate there contracts. Do you hear me yet Joe?? You seem like you are just showing up to take a pay check. No real emotion no real hoiutzspa. Look at Brady, look at Ben,..look at the other QB's. We all know the D fence took a dive last week but I believe they will bounce back. The real concern is the lack of scoring and no real wide receivers. I do like my boy Happy Crocket Gillmore!! You play like real Raven! If this week looks like last week. I would tell Harbaugh to get a new staff. Start with Trestmen's high school play book and lets get something going. Other words. Steel some plays from Green Bay, Pats, Steelers...Go and get some plays that work. The don't miss a wide open receiver in the end zone. It looked like Jimmy Orr in the Superbowl waving his arms. Get it together or heads will roll.
  16. Lets be honest. We have no real o-fence. No deep threat, No line of any sorts with the exception of Marshal Yada and Joe is the most over rated QB. Toss in a play book that was written up by high schooler's and you have a D- attack. So either it's lack of talent or lack of a real plan or scheam, or just poor coaching. You tell me??
  17. Now we are starting to see why Dan Pee's was let go. Those coordinators normally last a few years and then move on. Not to worry Chuck Pagano will be leaving the Colts soon! LOL We can pick him back up.
  18. I guess I should not be surprised. The Ravens have yet had another horrible game. The Offence dropped a few more passes and Joe Flacco has yet to understand that you need to throw a ball long and in front of a receiver. He has always had a issue with his long passes coming up to short. He is famous for under throwing the bomb. The Offence line was again destroyed by the Raiders D fence. We are horrible and that is that. Call it like it is. If I were the owner I would bring in Harbaugh and have a very long and serious talk with him and let him know that if his team continues to play like crap then he will be fired and so will Trestman. I have had enough excuses to fill a truck up. You guys are terrible and I am looking forward to next season to see who we can draft out of college. Pathetic
  19. After 12 years of good play, the big Raven is out again with the same injury. It s a shame but it looks like father time is taking him slowly. It happens to all ball players and Suggs is no different. He will be 33 I believe so it's not horrible but it is a sober thought. If he was 30 or so...I wouldn;t worry. But this could be the end of his career. If it is then he should count his blessings. 12 years a and Superbowl ring and all the great times w/ Ray and all the other Ravens! Heal up big boy and lets see how you respond. If you decide that enough is enough. I can't blame you. !
  20. I would have excepted almost any excuse but telling people your phone system broke down?? Really?? I guess that is why the secondary couldn't cover squat! Or perhaps why they ran up the middle and we couldn't tackle or stop them!! Really?? Because the phone system was down. Sound like a bull crap ola excuse to me. The offence couldn't move the chains because the phone system was down? Give me a break. Sounds like a good excuse you tell your wife when you out late at night with the boys and you don't want to tell her your at the club. Hahahahaha We shall see.
  21. By the way. Lets see how much you like good ol Joe when he sticks the Ravens with another huge contract and hand cuffs the team with no extra money for players. Stayed tuned for part 2.
  22. Joe is good, and can be very, very good but I have not seen him carry the Team on his back and will them to win. Not like ( you know who...Ray Lewis ). Joe asked for big bucks and he got it. Along with players we could afford. So it is, what it is. He still under throws all is long (bombs) to wide open receivers. He is good but he needs to be better. Even Trent Dilfer has a ring and we know he was never elite. So stop patting your self on the back Raven Fans. He needs to managed and direct receivers like Pyton does and take charge. Then he needs to make the pass and complete it.
  23. No way the Ravens will be able to compete with anyone based on the status of what I just saw. They should be very , very concerned. We have way to any injuries and the first and second year players need to step up big time. Do you really think we can beat the Steelers? Or Cincy?? We are in big time trouble and you can see that on Harbaugh's face.
