  2. Honestly, idc how the front office is trying to spin this, this move came from upper management pressure probably more than anything else. Upper management probably didnt like the guy for a multitude of reasons ie his contract, his health risks, the fact that the coach didnt like him, his weed stance affecting the team image etc.... and probably forced Ozzie's hand as a result. Just think about it. Assuming we don't do a new deal almost immediately after, what is the harm in holding Monroe? There is none unless he goes after blowing up the team. It would have been better to hold him for when injuries hit us or other teams so that we could reap the rewards.
  3. Lol i started a run

  6. and of that we get 2.1.
  7. 2.2 this year + 4.4 next yr for an empty space
  8. Rather have the depth tbh.

  10. Gdi. Literally anything is better than nothing. We don't even get a damn comp pick for this. Smh.
  11. So do we know for sure what kind of injury Perriman has?
  12. Not shocked at all by this. More and more like Shea McClellen every day
  13. Please Lurk for awhile
  14. i'll take that bet (the under obv)
  15. Aiken is mediocre. You throw anyone enough balls, they will catch them. That's what Aiken is. Who cares how Smitty looked before his leg gave out. The only thing that matters is how he is going to look going forward. Half our TE's are injured and/or unproven. Not to mention we don't even know if Trestman will make use of them (not in his history). Gilmore is coming off injury, pitta is coming off injury, boyle is suspended. Max Williams underwhelmed which is why we signed Ben Watson. All of that suggests to me that Ozzie wasn't too thrilled about our prospects at the position. I don't have any problem with the 14 draft. If you weren't getting a game changing wideout, you shouldn't take one. Plain and simple.
  16. hate the fuller pick
  17. I can deal with Charles Johnson.

  19. Still waiting to see a link on the knee injury history comment for perriman.
  20. See thats too rich for my blood. You project the future. You dont pay the past.
  21. This ^^^. Sign me and I'll probably outproduce Perriman.
  22. Trading is generally a bad idea. They just dont work out often. If you want a target that is more plausible, how about Demaryius Thomas. You can make the argument that the Broncos may have overpaid him and want out of the deal, but would you really want DT given his struggle with drops, age, and uncertainty to how talented he truly is? No idea if i would.
  23. This is akin to what if Perriman never got injured. As for the money point, didn't work out so well for keeping Ngata. The cap isn't dire, but we aren't exactly in good shape either.
  24. I didnt neg it, but you mentioned the steelers and the comment itself was horrendously short sighted given that its probably the coaching talent more than the draft that lets the steelers produce at the position
  25. Steelers develop their wideouts better. They choose to draft the best athletes and teach them how to football. See Sammie Coates.
