  1. Yea we have 10 electrifying god tier runningbacks on the roster apparently (liked the dixon pick but come on)
  2. Noah Spence has traits that project to success on the NFL level. He is already built well for the NFL. His game translates. KC does not. This isn't hard. This isn't me being bias. There is no projection with Spence for the most part. He has an nfl ready body, an array of moves. He needs to learn a few things, but they are easily taught. There is a significant and potentially overly-inflated one (projection) with KC.
  3. No
  4. Not the one from Southern
  5. Spence was the best EDGE in this draft imo. I liked Bosa, but he can't bend the edge like Spence. I'm not saying he's a god tier prospect, but he is a guy I had a legitimate 1st round grade on (and I didn't have many this year). All I am saying here is Bosa is what he is and that Spence is just scratching the surface imo. There's a point where value exceeds risk. Jack passed that after pick 25 (honestly it was probably earlier, but Seattle had no reason to pass on him). The concern isn't the short-term. It's the long term. I'll take 4-5 years of Jack over 4-5 years of most guys. If I'm right on K.C., then he isn't going to be here any longer than that anyway just like Upshaw. I think he is miles behind Spence in pass rushing skill. Correa doesn't have a translatable bull rush. He is about 30lbs underweight unlike Spence. He doesn't bend and wins more with motor than speed. All that translates to an edge setting role for me and thats if he gets bigger which will likely hurt his speed.
  6. i meant I havent watched it yet and posted a topic in Ravens Talk. Watching it now. Compared KC to Upshaw lol. Talking about their motors. I havent heard one positive thing said about their physicals at all which is concerning.
  7. Still waiting for a link on the presser
  8. Tbh I had a mid-late 3rd round grade on Correa. I think he got pushed up because it was a really weak EDGE class.
  9. I'm not sure we did. We got a guy we wanted. Whether it was the best one on the board when we were first picking, who knows?
  10. Dodd wasn't anywhere near a clear first rounder. He is an older rookie who is a 1 hit wonder. Desperation pushed up EDGE rushers If you think 2014 was underwhelming at the time, idk what to tell you. Mosely was a top 20 player. Jernigan was ranked 14th.
  11. Being a run defender has nothing to do with being a pass rusher. Don't care about covering. I'm paying him to kill QBs. Spence may only do 1 trick, but its the 2nd most valuable trick (passing) in the league and not everyone can do it. It has value and is uncommon Unlike everything Correa is and can do
  12. I get it and I don't have a problem with that. I'm just saying there were several better options at that point and we lost out on pretty much every one of them
  13. 3 quotes. No up votes make me sad.
  14. You realize we had a chance to draft Noah Spence who is an infinitely better pass rusher than Kamalei or Myles Jack who is a better player than anyone who went off the board today and likely on day 1 as well. Could have taken Chris Jones (a much higher upside guy) Correa is an underweight edge setter. He isn't an edge bender. He certainly isn't a power rusher. We aren't playing him at ILB and we aren't running a 4-3. He isn't super technically refined On top of all that, he didn't even play against top competition like Upshaw did. What's the positive? He's relentless? Who cares. Any idiot can be that or coached to be that. We didn't get an explosive EDGE at all. We got an effort/motor player. Bronson was a much better pick. Well coached. Bigger upside. Higher athleticism.
  15. Look the fact is that there were very few impact players in this draft and most of those came with significant risks. The Ravens have 5 fourth rounders an can use them to get developmental guys or role players who they can groom into future starters or quality depth. Remember, Mcphee and Malik Jackson were late rounders. Development is just as important as draft acumen. That being said Correa was a reach and won't be much better than Shea McClellen.
  16. I don't have an issue with lottery picks. I have an issue with wasting the premium picks or trading down when you have good players on the board. Myles Jack was a god send to this team at that point and the Ravens were too scared about whether hed get to his second contract that they forgot about his first. Flacco will retire at that point and we will probably suck because we don't have a qb anyway so ids the point in worrying about that.
  17. Simmons was a good sleeper
  18. Hackenberg got by on his resume and its the freaking Jets
  19. by what 0.8?
  20. Yea a QB who couldnt complete 56% of his passes at the college level is still on the board. Shocking...
  21. Think Grady Jarrett of the Falcons. Its stupid, but the nfl will learn.
  22. He is a man without a true position. He isn't a 3-tech despite some pass rush abilities. He isn't a NT at 0-1. Teams don't know how to use him.
  23. No matter how you slice it the Correa pick was terrible. Bronson at least has monster upside. His age doesn't matter to me.
  24. Who cares if he's a better fit as a 43 OLB. I mean jesus if you want to grade it by that then we should have stood pat and taken Jack.
  25. and Fackrell is off the board. Fantastic
