  1. Goodbye Wright & Lewis, hello Tony Jefferson! (One can only hope)
  2. Excellent summary.
  3. If Wagner goes, they could really benefit from FA Mangold: solid O-line with only RT as a Q.
  4. No to Revis & Pryor. I really like Mangold & Jefferson. Could boost 2 big needs. Wow, our O-line could rock, and our secondary would get serious right quick. But we also need CB & WR big time, and we don't seem to do a good job at all of developing them to the max like the Squealers do with Brown, Bryant, Wheaton, etc. Tough calls on many temptations.
  5. Thank you, Qadry. Our WR development has been downright sucky at times over the years. How can Pittsburgh ID so many good quality receivers, while we seem to languish with so-so, or watch them leave once they garner some skills (like T.Smith)? Been wondering that myself for a long time...
  6. What a bust, on so many levels...
  7. It might go down as a worse move than New Coke.
  8. And there was much rejoicing
  9. Keep Suggs, Pitta, & Wallace. Everyone else...buh-bye.
  10. Well, a 4 game losing streak capped off by the lowly Jets will have something to do with it. Instead of 9-6 and itching to bump Miami out of the playoffs, we're texting for golf appointments come January. Really need a stud pass rusher, a shutdown CB, and some high quality O-line depth to keep the lanes open for Dixon & West. Don't care whether it's FA or draft - just please get some and stop dinkin' around with has-been's like Hester! And a little creativity on offense so 12 year-olds aren't accurately predicting plays from their living rooms, please.
  11. IF we could play a whole game like the second half, we'd have many more wins than this.
  12. The offense is inept. Apart from the Gary Kubiak year, we've had failures and flunkies running the O for a few years now. Can't get quality people on the field, or can't get into a rhythm when they find quality players. Unbearable to watch.
  13. A healthy Perriman and a motivated Wallace should put fear in the hearts of secondaries around the NFL.
  14. Quality guy. Would love to see the Navy work things out with him. Would love to have a team full of guys like him - sterling character, standout leadership, epic work ethic, just overall high quality young man.
  15. This is incentive time. He needs to have a Pro-Bowl type of year for the Ravens to keep him. Or we'll just get some good draft picks when he signs with another team to make bank.
  16. If Correa and Kaufusi work out, Ozzie's a genius. If they don't, he looks senile. Won't know for sure till September. Personally, I wonder if both will be Paul Kruger-esque types - slow to develop, finally mature into productive players, then ship off for big $$ somewhere else.
  17. If this means 1) Joe has an additional 1-1.5 seconds to throw downfield, and 2) nobody's going to roll backwards into his leg because he's overmatched and getting manhandled by the D, then I am fine with this pick. The only other players I wanted us to grab (Ramsey & Bosa) were off the board. I'm good with this one. Let's buffet the D with the solid 2nd and 3rd rounds, and we're on the move.
  18. Running game and passing game does not help the defense!!! It does when the O is not going 3 & out each series. D stays fresh for the 4th quarter.
  19. Joe loves to throw deep. Throwing deep means more time. Having an LT that gives you an extra half-to-full second means the difference between an incompletion, a pick, or a successful completion. Trenchwork isn't sexy, but it's where the game is won.
  20. (Monroe's significant other): "So, how was your day, dear?" (Monroe): "Oh, fine. I just found out I'm about to lose my job."
  21. 1st rd: Ramsay, Bosa, or Buckner 2nd rd: Hargreaves
  22. Clutch situational player, and a great mentor to all the young TE's on the team. Since the position is a complex one, and players typically need 3-4 years to mature in the role, he would be critical to instruct and coach the players from the field perspective.
  23. Imagine Wallace with Perriman stretching the D around the field, and Watson catching skinny posts and curls open in the flats. Man...
  24. Urschel and the last one (Steelers suck) were the best.
