Would you say this team had more talent or less talent this year versus 2014? I would say the 2014 team had less talent but was more successful because they had a competent OC whose scheme and playcalling enabled the offense to make the Ravens competitive. In both cases, special teams were solid and the Ravens defense had trouble holding a lead.

I'm glad someone on here pointed this out....the excuses need to stop the coaching was the weakest part of the team....harbaugh doesn't have a clue, tressman was well just tressman, marty from the andy reid school hence lack of running game, dean pees how does he still have a job??? These guys was the brain trust this season and people actually wonder why we struggle and I mean struggle no matter the competition. We dominated exactly 1 game this year,  just 1. Folks like to believe we are contenders...don't believe it we have just 6 wins over winning teams the last 4 years....everytime we play winning teams we fold usually in the 4th....it's just hard as a fan watching this team knowing every week we're at a disadvantage with game planning and coaching adjustments and yet nothing will change.....What's that they say is the definition of insanity

no adjustments in the 4th qtr on defense = Pees should lose his job.

  2. I would like to hear some real comments from the coaches about the defense's performance on Sunday. In the 4th quarter, the Ravens looked like a HS football team that was totally over matched by the opponent. Steelers average yardage gained was 11 yards per play. In other words, a first down on every play. How do you not check Brown on the line of scrimmage on that last play? Slow him down and he doesn't get to that ball. Oh, they were tired. Well they have plenty of time to rest. Jimmy Smith?

  3. The Ravens left their 'best' on the field in NE and the game was a 'laugher'. Flacco's inability to get the ball to the receivers against a decent defense is causing division. Not a good sign when Smith leaves the field. What do the younger receivers think? Wallace giving up on throws? Perriman not running under balls. Repeated 2 yard check downs to receivers? The Steelers will pound them on Christmas day.

"We had to throw to check downs all game because they were dropping 8 guys in coverage" SO RUN THE DAMN BALL UP THEIR THROATS AND MAKE THEM STACK THE BOX!!

Seriously. So Ridiculous. Even when they try to hand us 2 tds inside the 10 all we do is throw. Why didn't Tavon shadow Edleman. Why are both Harbaugh's so clueless about time management? We got outcoached big time, and Joe is terrified in the pocket whether there's pressure or not. We won't win in the playoffs like this

if we do make the playoffs we won't beat Pats, Raiders, Chiefs, Broncos...let alone the NFC's top teams. Another one and done......the Ravens are clearly moving backwards.

Dang. Pittsburgh looked really good against the Jets yesterday. Even with the three picks, Bell was unstoppable and Taylor just couldn't mount much of an offense.

    I am one nervous puppy.

I thought they looked like crap. Bell won't get away with that hanging behind the line and waiting for a hole strategy against Baltimore and CJ Mosely will shut him down in the passing game. To me Ben looked like he could throw a pick on every other throw. Although he had little pressure, his passes were off mark, intercepted or barely snagged by his receivers. Personally, we can beat the pants off that Steelers team that showed up for the Buffalo game in my opinion. Patriots will be tough but everyone else is a pushover as far as I am concerned. Eagles looked weak, Steelers looked worse and the Bengals are happy just to not be the team to lose to the Browns. Home or Away, we can dominate the remaining 4 games and be set as the division winner in the first round of the playoffs. I am calling for a Ravens big lead here, Brady coming back but the Ravens holding on at the end.

watched that Steelers game and IMO they did not look like crap. Bad weather made the passing game tough for Ben. It remains to be seen if our defense can stop their running game, as it currently exists. The Steelers OL holds on most plays which is why Bell can sit back and wait for an opening. The Steelers OL engages and grabs/holds on creating the gaps.

Same here. I am scare and I don't have a good feeling about the Dec 25 game at Pitts. I think we have to win tonight and win the eagle game. Hopefully Bengals will drop the Steelers. Then even if you loose at Pitts, we will win the division by winning at Bengals.

That Jets loss was a total killer. Why on earth we should lose to that Jets team. No excuse that we should lost to them.

......or the Redskins and Giants. Defense let down in all three cases.

  7. Keep slinging that Rock and the Ravens will get a "W" the run will do very good but 30 pts are needed and to get 30 you gotta sling that Rock! The only team that can stop the Ravens are the Ravens and running on 1st and 2nd pass on 3rd and punting! Keep the pedal to the metal and the "DIVISION" is ours! WE THE BEST!

Steelers look very good....will be tough to beat them in Pittsburgh this year.

  8. watched most of the Steelers game yesterday. It looked to me the OL is holding on most plays.....many examples and are well disguised. Bell's short run for a TD clealy showed a Steeler OL pull down the defensive player closest to Bell. The CBS coverage made no mention of any holding but it was obvious. I know many teams hold but it seems to me the Steelers biggest OL advantage is a hold. CBS did mention that the players engage but the defense couldn't get off the blocks....ya think? Getting to think the Steelers are using/teaching questionable tactics like the Pats. Heads up Harbaugh and Pees. Go Ravens tonight.

The loss of the Gronk is big... now if they can just keep Eddleman under control...

I'd be surprised if Tavon doesn't shadow him the entire game. Kinda like Webb used to hold it down against Welker. Tavon is a way better match up on Julian than Jimmy. Then Jimmy can shut down Hogan or Mitchell. I'm so ready for this game. And hey Ravens staff, why don't we bring multiple extra sets of head phones that have nothing to do with a system the pats can touch eh? Be ready for all their cheap garbage

Brady's 2 step drop and delivery is tough to cover. The Ravens offense needs to keep the ball out of Brady's hands and maintain field advantage. The defense needs to resist taking any cheap hits.....and SS no more cheap penalties, this is not about you.

  10. I'm not sweating NE. They have had a gravy schedule so far and should have won the games they did. The only true competitors they've faced while Brady has been back is a Roethlisberger-less Steelers and the Seahawks, who they lost to in NE.

They are down two of their best playmakers in Gronk & Amendola along with a hobbled TE in Bennett who has 6 catches for 40 yards over the last 3 games. The only way I see us losing this game is if we beat ourselves with blown coverages and stupid penalties.

I afraid it won't matter who is on the field for NE on offense. If the Ravens don't pressure Brady, he will toast our DB's, again.

  11. not confident our DB's can stop the NE short passing schemes. Bill likely will run up the yardage and points against the Ravens defense. I don't think our guys are good enough to check the Pats receivers at the line because when they release we don't have LB's that can cover the pass. Hope I'm wrong. The best way to keep the Pats from scoring is giving them poor field position and ball control....don't give them the ball.
