  1. I agree with that list but for Coleman. Not much a fan of his at all.

I think Boyd has crazy potential, like Antonio Brown levels good, but Treadwell is about as safe as a WR prospect could possibly be. They are very different types of players but I think Treadwell compares well to Amari Cooper in terms of talent and having such a high floor.

  2. Yeah, I figured it was the Boldin nostalgia. There's a lot of that so I can't fault you. Boldind dropped his fair share of balls, though, and that's something I recall happening quite a few times while he was here. Not to take away from how he played for us in the SB because he played great. I'd just rather have a player fast enough to get open and not have to rely on the contested catches.

I really like Boyd as a nice fit for the team. I also like Shepard as well.

Boyd is a machine who is going to get overlooked just for being a little thin. I would be thrilled if we could land him in the 2nd.

  3. Ramsey, Bosa, and Treadwell are the guys I really like for the first round. If I had my pick we'd go home with Treadwell, as a true number 1 WR could do wonders for our offense and Treadwell is someone to pair with Joe for their entire careers. That said I'm sure we'll draft Stanely or something equally dumb and boring.

  4. Torrey is solid but has proven he needs help. Marlon preformed okay but his stats are more reflective of opportunites than they are talent. I agree that we need to give him a chance to prove himself and that is one consolation from this offense empty draft. Steve Smith will be turned to dust by the end of the year. It take WRs time to adjust to the NFL typically. Finding a good player to sit behind Smith would have been ideal. Pitta is already aging, and Daniels is made of glass, much like last years Dallas Clark.

I really think it's fair to say we could use some receiving targets and before you say anything, blocking TE Crockett Gilmore doesn't count.

  5. Eric D says he's comfortable with the quality of the O-line players they drafted last year in rounds 5 & 6 but they feel the need for a do-over of last years first 3 picks. Is that logic/explanation, John, supposed to calm the bewildered fan? Hmm.

Add to this that Williams and Brown barely received any playing time because of the titans of athleticism Josh Bynes and Terreance Cody and who knows if they can even play.

I could totally see us sitting Jernigan and Mosely for a large amount of time just cause seems to actively try not to play rookies unless injury demands it.

  6. Disheartening is the word Bruce. The Mosely pick yesterday drained the joy right out of me and today was didn't lift my spirits any. Brooks and Jernigan are good players but I'm not sure how Jernigan fits and taking Crockett Gilmore ridiculously early after missing out on Moncrief wnd West just tore me up. For some reason we're just never going to have a great offense in Baltimore, despite having the QB to pull that off.

  7. Y'all should be excited if anything, They drafted a player who was simply too good for them to pass up on. Why would you question what they did when they set all the more pressing needs aside to draft this guy? CJ is going to be an impact player, and all you guys hating on him and the pick before the 2014 Ravens have even played a down of Football. There is so much offseason ahead. Quit being negative, and let the wizard go to work.

Did you watch any tape at all? Do you have any opinion that is your own and not "They know what they're doing otherwise they wouldn't have done it"? Do you think Kyle Boller and Marc Clayton and Travis Taylor were huge successes?

    No?

Than what are you contributing? If you think Mosely is good say why.

  8. We have two starters at the position already. One we just paid and one we just drafted. We needed a little bit of depth, you know like the kind you get in the 5th or UDFAs. Argue that he was BPA, I disagree with that vehemently but you could argue it. ILB was not even the 5th most needed position on our team. RT, FS, CB, WR, TE, OLB were all bigger needs. I think this is the worst pick we reasonably could have made but for a QB.

Also Bama players are notoriously injured and mediocre in the NFL, particularly the ones the come here. Mosely showed me nothing last year to say he won't be the exact same. I hate this pick. I really didn't think it could get worse than picking Elam over Kenan Allen last year, but here we are. This is worse. I'll be shocked if Mosely ever sees a pro bowl.

1st round isn't the only round you can draft talent in but it is absolutely the easiest round to draft talent in, Also all of those needs now need to be filled by lesser players, or at leas players that the whole league passed on multiple times. Starters are typically only found in the first three rounds and UDFAs. Anything else is atypical. Our chances of getting good starters is nerfed by this pick.

  9. Art Brown will give us great depth at LB and ST, I'd rather have him coming off the bench if someone got injured then Bynes, plus if he pans out in 3 years he will be in the middle with Mosley when Smith is gone.

Brown is better than Mosely. Putting him on special teams is really stupid. The team is actually worse because of what we did tonight. Ozzie hasn't had a good first round pick since Flacco, depending on what happens with Jimmy Smith which is pretty upsetting.
