  1. It doesn't matter who the OC is if the quarterback that the franchise made the highest paid player in football doesn't want to work outside the facility. It's pathetic that the organization has to try and lite a fire under his behind be releasing this news to the media. It's no wonder he and the receivers can't get on the same page.
  2. Cue up the next scapegoat at OC. Evidently team around the NFL understand Caldwell wasn't the problem. It starts with a guy that doesn't work as hard as he needs to. Manning works outside the facility with his recievers . Hard work pays off in performance Flacco.

Yep, Luck's 3 INT's and Smith throwing away the game on that intentional grounding were outstanding examples of great quarterback play.....SMH

  4. It doesn't matter who the OC is. The results will be near the same or worse. Cam understood the limitations and worked within that formula.
  5. 120.6 M for hot garbage. In other news congrats to Flacco on the new Ravens interception mark by quarterbacks. Way to reward the Ravens front office for their trust. The #5 jersey is in the trash where it belongs!!

on the "another note" lol; it should have been flagged, even if its not intentional, its breaking a rule(accidental PI is still a flag alot of times)but i dont think a player should get a fine for something unintentional. whether it was intentional or not is all speculation, but i dont think it was, regardless of how dirty the lions reputation is.

  8. Bengals lost last night and all looks to be falling in place for the Ravens if they can handle their business. Feeling positive about the chances for a "W" tonight. I think I'll ride with the 5 jersey for good luck. Let's go Ravens!!!

  9. Thanks Flacco for putting a couple solid drives together with the help of officiating of course. The 64 QB rating and competion pct. was almost as ugly as the wounded duck interceptions. Here's hoping you play 60 Monday night.

  12. Uh oh, Looking at some stats Flacco against Rex Ryan's defense, 43% Comp. Pct., 51.1 QB rate, 0 Td's , 2 int's, one being a pick six the other returned 66 yards, 2 fumbles lost. Despite this horrific play he's 2-0 vs the NYJ.

  14. Week 11 Edition; Flacco has been bested by his share of rookie, journeyman or never was quarterbacks this season. At risk of feeling like Charlie Brown looking for the Great Pumpkin is this the week Flacco starts making the Ravens look wise for paying him.........Probably not!

I'm not a Brady hater, but "Brady taking a paycut"? C'mon, man. His current contract guarantees more money than any other single contract on the history of the league. Restructuring for the cap and adding dozens of millions to your guaranteed money is hardly taking a paycut. I'm not saying what he did was wrong because I'm all for players getting all the money they can, but let's stop pretending that he took a paycut when in actuality it was a raise.

    3. SeaHawk

      SeaHawk

I'm talking about when he took a pay cut back in 2007 to bring Moss in. I am also referencing a pay cut/restructure that he took when they brought in several other players a few years back too. Would Flacco do that? No. Otherwise, he would've took less so he could keep Boldin here. I'm not saying Boldin's the answer, but he could have helped us with the middle of the field stuff at least

    4. SeaHawk

      SeaHawk

He wants respect through money... sorry, but if you want respect, then take less money in order to help the team, and win some dang games in the regular season to make people respect your work. I'm sorry, but I just don't think Flacco is the brightest gem in the world.

  15. LOL, the "great" Joe Flacco is only six spots ahead of Geno Smith in quarterback rating. There's guys on the street you can find putting up these kind of numbers never mind paying 120.6 over 6 or 20.1 AAV. In Ozzie I don't trust

  16. Another week gone by of pathetic offense. I don't know what's worse, the offensive line, Ray Rice, or Flacco not being able to take his game to the next level. Speaking of Flacco I haven't watched one game this season counting preseason in which I felt comfortable about the money invested in this guy. He continues to have the same warts, lack of field vision, staring down recievers , poor pocket awareness, lack of football IQ when it comes to time management, down and distance, cr...

  17. I'd love to see Flacco show up for more than the 4th quarter. Last week he showed up for two quarters. Here's hoping this is the first week this season the Ravens get three solid quarters of football out of him. He's the highest paid player on the field with a 20.1 AAV so act like it with the performance and leadership. See Peyton Manning or "winning" Tom Brady.

    1. FreckleNate

      FreckleNate

Overall this season I am not too dissapointed in Flacco, but I will never agree that he deserved that contract.

    2. Hardbaugh

      Hardbaugh

At Gabefergy- The problem is the organization tried to transition to an offensive oriented team and doesn't have to personnel to pull it off. For years Flacco has campaigned for more autonomy in the game plan and at the line of scrimmage, he has it and he's looking up at rookie Bill's quarterbacks in QB rating. I hope he can do better but quite frankly at 20.1 AAV the last thing I'd like to hear is excuses. This is most of his own doing and will more than likely be Flacco...

    3. markbuilds

      markbuilds

Our receivers do not get anywhere near the separation that other elite receivers do. Then, when Flacco puts the ball right in there hands we get drops. Flacco still has his inconsitent problems, but I'll still cut him slack. He needs a running game, better pass blocking, receivers that know how to run routes and catch the ball and he needs to stop getting hit so much.

  18. Flacco gets worst grade of any Ravens from PFF in the Ravens 6 point loss to the Browns. To hear the usual suspects on this site tell it he played great. Flacco has an elite type contract but delivers journeyman statistics. This team is in deep, deep trouble with that contract.

    1. Real Ravens Fan

      Real Ravens Fan

Flacco had a bad game, partly due to the windy conditions. Flacco is an Elite QB! He proved that last year. The O-line and bad play calling is what is the problem. You could see last Sunday, when Joe was given the keys to the offense, that he is the offense! What I don't understand is, why Ozzie paid him the biggest contract in the history of the NFL, and Harbs didn't give Joe the keys in week 1. You don't pay someone and then not let them do what they do best.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Anyone who relies on PFF grades knows squat about football. They are beyond non-credible.

    3. MissRay27

      MissRay27

Joe rolled the dice and earned his big pay day chiefly for helping to win the Superbowl. His contract along with Rice, Ngata, Suggs, Webb, and Yanda are huge cap eaters. So, there will be little room for improving the roster except through the draft and we all know that means hard times are coming. I suggest the next three years will be retooling years, maybe the Ravens can remain relevant, but we as fans will have to be patient. We've been treated to good a very good five year run.

  19. Flacco is in over his head. His demands to be compensated for far more than his value as a player will undermine this team for years to come.

    1. Malkavian Raven

      Malkavian Raven

For instance, Joe's cap hit this year is only $6.8M, that includes signing bonus. T-Sizzle is nearly DOUBLE that with $13.02M this year. Why can't he close out games when our offense gives them the lead?

    2. Hardbaugh

      Hardbaugh

Any educated fan understands the ramifications of 120.6 million and 20.1 million AAV. If the Ravens can't win now they will find tougher sledding when more of Flacco's dollars count against the cap. Hence , Flacco is in over his head. As Flacco received more and more autonomy in the offense (something he campaigned for BTW) not only his numbers suffer but the whole offense is sinking as well.

    3. theFRANCHISE

      theFRANCHISE

It's all relative. Flacco's performance last year, especially in the postseason, determined his value in the market. If you want someone to blame, don't blame Flacco. Blame Mark Sanchez and his contract; his production was lesser than Flacco's when he had signed his own extension and that resulted in Flacco getting big bucks for having played extraordinarily better.

  20. This year no, future seasons most definately. On another note why should a proven vet who does it all like Boldin take a hit when the quarterback just got overpaid? As much as I hate the fact that Boldin is no longer here I'm glad he didn't buckle to the Ravens front office. Why should he , when the quarterback didn't?
  21. The front office threw Boldin out like he was trash.... They showed the man no respect asking him to take a pay cut after that dominant performance in the playoffs. Ozzie and staff have made some great moves in the past but lets not pretend he hasn't made some bad ones to go along with it. Treating Boldin in the manner which they did was pathetic. I suppose more shoes will drop soon.
  22. It wasn't about this seasons cap hit from flacco. The payday Flacco gets in future seasons make the Ravens choices very limited. I understand why extending Boldin wasn't an option because the money just won't be there. Flacco is overcompensated by atleast 2 to 3 million AAV, that contract will come back to haunt the Ravens and the first domino to fall because of it was Boldin. They had the money to keep him this season but they could not add any years to the contract which may have bridged the gap.
  23. What a piss poor move by the front office.... Flacco got what he wanted being the highest paid player in the league in AAV so now he's going to have to deal with the consequences of seeking that payday... Maybe just maybe if Flacco was willing to sacrifice a little for the team others would have followed suit. Flacco said the usual buzz words, like it wasn't about the money but respect so how can anyone expect any other players on the roster to not seek the highest payday. Welcome to the new Ravens... I have zero interest in watching the Super Bowl video . I hope Boldin gets a few rings with the Niners. If he chooses to leave after this season the 49ers will parlay that 6 round pick into a better pick .
  24. This guy has given his all for the Ravens. Very few on this board were able to understand the domino effect of the Flacco contract.....and we aren't even in year four yet... Boldin's biggest games are when the Ravens need him most hopefully something can be worked out to keep him in this uniform but if they have to part ways look no further than number 5's insistance that he be the highest paid quarterback in the league , yet states " it was never about the money." I'd be happy to see Boldin sign a three year extension but a pay cut tells me he may not be in the plans after next season.
