  1. Thought he was supposed to be the next Calvin Johnson......
  2. Webb punt return called back on a gift holding flop call. Boldin dropped TD, Housh dropped 4th down. I hate that game ;'(
  3. No you can't, but two of those dropped TDs led to INTs the next play. I'm definitely not saying you are, but the Rahim Moore argument to diminish his accomplishment always annoys me because it's ridiculous, sorry a football play happened. What if Ray Lewis tackles Thomas and they never score a go ahead TD, what if Holiday doesn't score twice, what if Brady isn't bailed out with the tuck rule, what if the refs call holding on James Harrison's run back, what if the refs don't call phantom holds on Seattle vs Pittsburgh.... So I pretty much proved your point on the what if game. My favorite what if is what if Flacco had an AJ Green to throw to?
  4. Nailed it with the Dalton comparison, what that guy plays with around him is a total joke....In terms of how can you not look good
  5. Take away 3 specific drops in 2014, there's 30TDs and 4,000 yards. If he starts the entire bengals game in 2012, there's 4,000 yards if you're assuming he hits his average YPG. If he starts all last year and doesn't get hurt, there's another 4,000 yards. This argument is a joke and it makes me so angry becasue it exemplifies the difference in looking at stats and actually watching a game. Would that really make everyone's perception more positive?
  6. Double standards are the best, if it didn't happen with Ryan, Cutler, Stafford, Oswiler, Tannehill, Dalton, it won't happen. Whatever, not the biggest deal, just annoying
  7. It's honestly a sick joke by this point, 2 straight years with 20 guys on IR. That Patriot playoff loss hurts more and more, the offense was playing on fire if only we had a few starters in the secondary.
  8. The weapons are still mostly on paper and the ones we're counting on are once again all over 30. Kamar Aiken looks to be reliable, we hope Wallace can reemerge. We hope Watson still has it. I'm excited to hopefully see Gilmour and Williams continue to get better. Perrimean and Moore are wild cards, I hope they can both be effective. Smith is awesome but he's a wild card with that injury at that age. I really hope Reynolds becomes our Antonio Brown. Hopefully Dixon becomes the next Rice type weapon.
  9. Here we go again. I wonder how much Andrew Luck will get paid
  10. Pretty much every franchise QB on their second contract will make between 18-22 a year. Typically each subsequent contract establishes a new floor, Andrew Luck is going to get something huge
  11. I'm still furious about the Steve Smith call and Dean Peas and our secondary blowing every late game lead
  12. I've seen Brooks personify the definition of being lost on defending deep balls. The Saints game when he watched a bomb get hauled in for a TD. The Steelers game last year when he knocks out Antonio Brown a whole 3 seconds before the ball even gets there. Such poor ball skills, our secondary has been so lost the last 2 seasons specifically, I really can't stomach another season of pure incompetence. As for Brooks, I'm echoing the sentiments I have on many players, I'll believe it when I see it. I remember one good play his rookie year when he made a big hit and caused a fumble, but I also remember being in Cincinnati watching Sanu burn him on a 4th down in the 4th quarter for the game winner setting us up for another loss in the same exact way with that team.
  13. Couldn't agree more, he improved last year but he might have the best situation in the NFL in terms of surrounding team.
  14. I hope our secondary is fixed this year.
  15. Despite the selection criteria being defined as the best 100 players based on next season's projected performance, I'm not surprised with the lack of representation given our year last year. And I will never take Bortles, Carr, Smith or Dalton over our guy.
  16. Seen every Ravens game since 96 and every Bengals game since 03 since moving here, Dalton is not better. Loaded with offensive talent, tall WRs that catch his high passes over the middle. Lots of quick screens that are turned in YAC, best starting field position in the NFL last year, great o line. Bengals secondary has been better than ours, the game in Baltmore last year really illustrated this, Dalton was throwing to wide open WRs and ours were blanketed all day. Dalton had a good year last year no doubt, but it is so unfair to Flacco to compare these guys stats when you consider the surrounding circumstances. In 2013 Dalton won throwing 4 INTs the second game, the first game Flacco lost 150 yards to drops. 2014 the Steve Smith robbery. These games have hurt for sure. But having watched Dalton and Flacco their whole careers it just isn't close, the degree of difficulty in their average throws is night and day, and we don't scheme WRs open as well as they do. I hope someday we can see what Flacco would do with an AJ Green type WR. We saw what he did with 31 year old Boldin, Jacoby Jones and Torrey Smith. Steve Smith had a career revival with Flacco, Torrey Smith had a severe drop off without Flacco. AJ Green didn't miss a beat when AJ McCarron came in. I think you were being sarcastic anyway but I plan to have this argument all year with my Bengal friends.
  17. I think it's humorous he had his brother on the underrated list. How can Flacco be overrated, he's not on the top 100 player list this year but Blake Bortles, Carr, Dalton and Smith are. Who would you want as your QB in a championship game when you need to score 25 or more on the road.....Thought so
  18. What if he gets hurt again?....
  19. Pretty much all we can really do at this point. It will be exciting if he can play, even more exciting if he turns out.
  20. I hope we get something better than a 6th round pick, we really needed the O-line depth.
  21. I hope he plays, cautiously optimistic
  22. Yea no doubt, I understand the logic of being able to fill holes from different areas in either the draft or FA. But the main point being made is you have a higher probability of getting this guy in round 1 and it's important to take advantage of that opportunity. The Bengals built their WR core through years of using multiple high picks on WR.
  23. Steve Smith dropped 4 TDs last season, Flacco wasn't as bad as some like to make him out to be last year. Wasn't 2014 however, he needs to be sharper this year, and other WRs need to step up.
  24. Just once I want to see Flacco surrounded with a complete arsenal of weapons like Dalton or Ben
  25. Hines Ward, James Harrison, Joey Porter, Hines Ward, Ryan Clark, Mike Mitchell, Mike Tomlin, Hines Ward. I hate the Bengals too but the Steelers acting like saints is pure hypocrisy.
