  1. I'm honestly more upset about the Pees situation than this one. Even if our offense improves, we will just blow whatever leads we create. Our defense collapses with a lead almost every time.
  2. Another year of 8 and 8 football or worse. I just don't know if my heart can take watching it anymore. Same mistakes every year. Change nothing.
  3. Would like to focus on a 3 and out defense rather than a "bend don't break" defense. Bend dont break doesn't give your offense enough possessions during a game. The defense is also on the field for way too long and is dead tired by the end of the game. 3 and out with a focus on causing turnovers. Offense just needs to be serviceable. Keep it simple. Move the ball vertically. Remove the 2 yard out from the playbook unless they are playing off and you have a blocker out in front. The stretch zone run requires talent at the O line that we don't seem to have currently. We have the players for I formation runs on the other hand. One thing the trestman as well as the cameron offenses always did was run our receivers directly into the zones instead of sitting between them. There is always this illusion that our receivers can't ever get open because we run ourselves into coverage. That should be looked at and figured out.
  4. I just want someone with a vertical mindset rather than horizontal mindset. Everything was much too lateral this year and it was incredibly frustrating to watch us work so hard for so few yards.
  5. I don't like Harbaugh, but whoever said Jeff Fisher. Please. Stop. Anyway, something needs to happen. Same crap every year is getting old.
  6. Really don't think it is coincidence that since Ray and Ed left, the only time we have made it to the playoffs was when another head coach came in and pretty much took over the team for a year. Harbaugh has only squandered talent since he's been here. We are never prepared for a single game. We always look confused. We are never ready to play. We need to people to right the ship. The fact that it took 13 games to cut Hester just shows that we don't know what we are doing. We probably would have had 2 more wins if it weren't for his play alone.
  7. Steelers players should all send Dean Pees a thank you card.
  8. Even the Browns don't look confused every play. Browns coaches would have realized that with 5 minutes left and down 2 scores, you need to throw downfield. No team is that stupid other than us. The browns have terrible management and have awful players. We have what should on paper be a great offense, that is run by idiots.
  9. We once again prove that we are the worst coached team in football. Nothing made any sense. Need two scores. Keep throwing quick 1-2 yard outs and waste 3 minutes to kick a field goal. Great work guys. Dean pees special on defense today. Play off, get beat deep over and over. Matt Elam was the worst, is the worst, and will forever be the worst player the Ravens have ever had on defense. We should have lost this game by over 20 points. How many times does Hester need to lose 15-20 yards letting the ball hit the ground before he gets cut? Just hire a high school player to fair catch every time. Keeping Elam and cutting Brooks was the dumbest thing the Ravens did in the offseason.
  10. Good: Ravens. Awesome game by everyone. Bad: Dolphins? Their offense wasn't really playing bad, we just outplayed them. Defense started to give up after being demoralized. Ugly: Refs and Commentators. It's a bad day for the refs when they are straight up missing multiple false starts, calling blocks in the back where players were untouched, and missing holds when players are just getting tackled from behind on their way to the qb. Normally we get the B team refs, today we got the interns. Luckily they weren't calling much, just missing a lot of things that I've never seen refs miss before. The commentators were just terrible. The play by play guy getting the players wrong almost every play, and the other guy just saying the complete opposite of the truth every time he opened his mouth.
  11. All 3 of the calls on him were nonsense though. 2 ghost holding calls and a hit during the play that they called a late hit. The whistle wasn't blown and the player wasn't yet out of bounds.
  12. Gave them the Pees special in the second half. Just embarrassing. We will never play good defense against a competent team. 10-15 yards off every play does not work and will never work. That kind of wussy defense is a disgrace to the Ravens name. Straight garbage. I don't expect the offense to play well at this point. We have an interim OC using the scribblings of a crazy person as his playbook. Our run blocking scheme more often than not puts us in 2nd and 11-12 situations (although it did work for one drive so I'll give them that.)
  13. I finally came out of a game satisfied. First half offense I was thinkin' "aw heck, here we go again." Then we actually came out after half with adjustments on offense. Some I formation runs. Throwing some slants to the middle of the field with your speedsters to slow the pass rush down and help out a banged up line. Joe made some really dumb mistakes again but got in a groove with the no huddle. And then our defense played ball the whole game. They came out hunting from start to finish. They wanted the ball, and they got it. Let's see if we take what worked well and actually build on it next week.
  14. Defense just needs to not drop into that cover 2 zone give the entire middle of the field scheme at the end and we get that shut out. Amazing job by the players on defense all game. Scheme change, not really on the players. Offense was yucky. We need to get out of this semi option run scheme with a non runner QB. It is a bit silly and makes it harder for both the QB and the RB. Just go back to the good old I formation. It's a simple scheme for a simple minded offense. We are also one of the few teams with a FB which is perfect. Run it up the gut. That is what is in the Raven's blood. Get em' good up the middle with runs and then play action. Every time we tried to do an option run that started laterally, we lost 2-3 yards. Always on second down and 10 to make it 3rd and long. Great Job on special teams all around. Hester wasn't pretty but got the job done with no big mishaps. Not to mention he had to field about 600 Pittsburgh punts today. Punt block was awesome. Blocker got juked so bad he decided he failed and just ran up the field.
  15. That mentality is what got us to this point in the first place. We shoot for mediocrity. When you shoot for perfection, you don't quite reach perfection. When you shoot for mediocrity, you don't quite reach mediocrity.
  16. Well, without luck, we would have lost to them too.
  17. Not even upset anymore. Accepted that we are just the worst team in football. Sit Joe until he isn't afraid to step into a throw.
  18. The final 4th down play was smart, but flacco threw wallace into coverage. Wallace was going to sit in the open zone but flacco threw him the route ball instead.
  19. Good: The first 5 minutes of the game. The defense held up pretty well. West ran the ball well so we decided to only give it to him 11 times. Bad: Everything else The Ugly: We prove once again we are the worst coached team in football. Nobody looks prepared. The playcalling on offense makes no sense ever. The amount of times we are second and 12 or 13 in ridiculous just because Trestman likes to lose yards on first down. This is a game that should have been a blowout but once again squandered by the coaching. Harbaugh once again loses us 3 points that would have allowed us to take the game to overtime. Special teams is holy crap terrible other than Tucker. Devin Hester lost us about 35 yards on punt returns. Perriman is a joke of a player. Children in their backyard know to drag their feet on a sideline catch yet he doesn't. We once again drafted a player because he could run fast instead of his ability to play the game. This team is so frustrating and anger inducing. UGH
  20. Offenses that throw 50+ times a game tend to be terrible offenses. There is no rhythm whatsoever in the Trestman offense. It looks exactly the same as last year. Pees defense looked very similar to last years at the end of the game. Plus we suddenly go into cover 2 while rushing 3 when they are in the red zone. It was the bend and break defense again. We must have the record for backwards plays over the last 20 games. This offense seems to go backwards at least once out of every three downs.
  21. Worst coached team in football. Plus Joe, for the love of god, step into your throws....
  22. Marc Trestman offense is like trying to go sledding with no snow.
  23. He has a system. It is just a stupid one.
  24. The Good: Defense played well overall. Tough when you are on the field the whole second half. The Linebacking play was nothing short of amazing all game. The Bad: Marc Trestman is clinically insane. I have never seen somebody call more stupid plays a game in my life. How many times are we going to throw a 2 yard pass into triple coverage with no chance to move the ball further on third/fourth and 3. Either something is actually mentally wrong with him, or he is betting on these games and trying to keep them close. Never has a coach put his players in worse situations to win a game. So much talent squandered. Shareece was getting picked on all game. The Awful: The Browns. Good lord. How do they find so many ways to lose a game. It's a new heartbreaking experience every week for that fanbase.
  25. The Good: Player of the day was Wright. What a game. Great pursuit to the ball. Looked fast. Defense played pretty well minus the non existent pass rush after we took the lead. All the receivers we have. The Bad: Pass Rush The Ugly: Offense looked like "Here we go again" garbage. I don't know how many times you have to do a 0 yard out before you realize it isn't going to work as your number one go to play. Every time we have a 3rd and 4th down play, we do a play under the first down marker. It is like watching an insane person make the same mistakes over and over with Trestman. Meanwhile he is making me look insane yelling at the TV but that is another story. I think he has a rule where he is only allowed to use the middle of the field less that 5 times a game. Refs seemed to continue their trend of making up new rules to stop Rex Ryan teams. I felt bad for Tyrod all last year and I would have felt bad for him again this game if it wasn't against the Ravens. He plays well and every time it looks like his team has turned the momentum, I see a flag for calls I didn't even know existed. Bailed us out multiple times and tried their best to give us points.
