  1. Didn't stop them in 2012 when they gave Caldwell the playbook. Caldwell had never been an OC prior to the 2012 playoffs. Marty Morhinweg (current QB coach) was an OC in the past. He's had some success and some failure.
  2. Todd Haley is a good OC and has a good relationship with Rothlisberger (Idk Flacco's relationship with Trestman). Even without Bell, their offense generally performs. They have some stinkers (see Eagles game) but it its far and few between. Unlike us, in which we're always laying stinkers.
  3. Fire Trestman. Promote Morhinweg to OC because he should know the playbook. Hire Jim Zorn as QB coach because you still need a QB coach and I don't think your OC should double up as the QB coach.
  4. True also Cam was too committed to running the ball sometimes which would put the offense in third and long often. He also ran an Air Coryell type system but did not have the players who fit into it (you generally need big, fast receivers). It worked some time but wasn't ideal. He honestly might perform better with our current players because he wouldn't abandon the run when it was working and we do have faster (not necessarily bigger) receivers.
  5. This probably pisses me off the most. He has no grasp on how to put the team in the best position to win. Pass-blocking has been poor so lets keep passing. Run game is productive so let's keep passing. God, the Chicago fans were right.
  6. You can take pressure off of the o-line when they aren't pass blocking the entire time. The vast majority of teams can't be this unbalanced and have a productive offense, unless you have pro bowlers on the o-line like Brady's o-line through the years, Peyton's o-line in Indy, and probably the current Cowboys o-line.
  7. Idk if I would call Caldwell a good OC. His only experience as OC was the super bowl run and 2013. In 2013, I would say the piss poor o-line made it impossible to do anything. Throughout our history it has been lack of good players on offense, and probably not good enough coaching. This year, we have the players and the coaching is horrendous.
  8. Also even with the 3 wins, the offense has been piss poor the entire time. Trestman needs to go. Promote Marty Mornhinweg because it can't be any worse with him.
  9. Change the fire Pees thread, to fire Trestman. These losses and near losses are on him. RUN THE BALL!!!! Running the ball takes pressure off the pass blocking, wears down the d-line, opens up play-action. Trestman is a moron and should go back to the CFL. Also nice job on the fake FG Harbaugh. Make JT attempt his 1st pass in windy conditions. The coaching has failed this team.
  10. They have people run downfield often so the defenders can't play bump and run. They also run the ball so a d-line can't tee off on their qb.
  11. Wouldn't matter. We have good enough players to perform but the offense isn't conducive for their skillsets.
  12. This dink and dunk offense scares no one, hence why the defenders are on top of our receivers.
  13. Exactly lack of execution and poor coaching. It's been a problem for a while and yet nothing changes.
  14. Harbaugh is obviously in favor of how the offense is run or he make Trestman change it.
  15. This o-line has been terrible. I know there are injuries on the outside but you still expect the backups to give more time for Joe.
  16. Yea, hamstring. Questionable to return.
  17. Then he tore his other acl. I think people also forget he has two bad knees.
  18. So apparently, since 2014, we have had a pass-run ratio of 62-38. I still blame Trestman for our offense abandoning the run constantly and getting pass happy, but some of this is definitely Harbaugh or he would reel it in. We need to run the ball more. It should be closer to 55-45.
  19. What's new? People have been complaining about him but now I see it.
  20. Good job D. Good thing Redskins are trying out-cute us instead of taking points.
  21. Yea it almost worked. But with the way your defense is playing, just take the points. It's too windy to try that.
  22. Our MLBs have been balling so far.
  23. Wth, he tried one hard count and gave up????? No harm I guess but so odd. No motions, no other attempts to draw offsides.
  24. I'm not sure if the committee is working. West has the hot hand but there's an argument that the change of pace between the backs is allowing West to pick up big runs. Anyway I would take the points. Defense seems fine for now (based on 1 drive). Man Harbaugh and Rosburg need to chew out the ST because besides 2 blocks, they have been unacceptable.
  25. Unlikely but he should be. The lack of deep passing game and an unbalanced approach to the run/pass should make Harbaugh mad but idk. The lack of deep passing game could be blamed on the o-line. At the same time, in the Cleveland game, Joe had to tell him to try stuff downfield. Likewise the lack of run game (prior to this game) could easily be the excuse for the unbalance in the run/pass play selection. Again at the same time, prior til the 2nd half, our run game wasn't showing signs of being ineffective yet we had passed 75% of the time.
