So we signed Joe Flacco to a mega deal and released one of the big reasons he had success... Didn't Joe say that he structured his deal so that we could keep Boldin. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. If we wanted cap space why not extend him for another year or two. He has plenty left in his tank and I really think that without Boldin the big money we spent on Flacco will be wasted. It was a very smart move by the 49ers. Crabtree, Boldin, Davis Gore, Kap. With that offense and defense they should be locks for another birth in the super bowl... Us on the otherhand with the last pick of the first round and will probably lose what players we wanted to keep... who wants to stay and play for a team that just cut one of the biggest reasons we won the superbowl... All Flacco lovers rewatch those games Boldin was a beast and made Flacco look like Montana. We could be watching the Bengals or even the Browns run the division. Both teams have young talent and money to burn... Some of our free agents may even jump ship and go to those places... Forget loyalty because personally with this move I think we lost all credit. I know I will sound like a Flacco basher but everyone will see how much Boldin meant. He brought an attitude and we just lost a bit of that today. We let Mason go because we had Boldin and we let Boldin go because we have who... who will be the go to guy. I am very angered by this move and so far this whole offseason. I have lost faith and knew that with the signing of Flacco it left us in a bad spot. Of course he is the Franchise guy but they are still anaylyst around the league that believe they we overspent on a 4 game run that without the mystery of Rays last ride we may never see again. I became a Ravens fan because of Ray Lewis and what he brought from the "U" and with his retirement and possibly loss of Reed and event hough Boldin was not a Hurricane he brought the Swagger from the Noles and the Days of the great rivalry. So in final I have lost hope and hope that the front office knows what they are doing because I think they made a gamble that they are going to wish they had back.
