  1. As long as he's playing for someone else....
  2. Perhaps he should think about retirement.... As a Ravens fan from the day the walked on the field against the Oakland Raiders at Memorial Stadium, I cannot fathom why Steve Biscotti isn't shaking Harbaugh down to make some changes. I guess he's satisfied with 3rd place in the division 3 years in a row. Since the team didn't even come close to .500 while taking 3rd this year means [to me] the gap between the Ravens and the 2 teams recently taking the top of the division is widening. I already contend some of the coaches (like the Strength & Conditioning coach - because of all the injuries) should be fired. And I'm starting to doubt whether Ozzie and some others have lost their Midas Touch. I also get frustrated because when we do make the playoffs, we are 5th or 6th seed...and never get any playoff games at home. I see that John has learned how to whine as good as his brother... just not with all the physical dramatics.
  3. Someone discussed the lack of TD (17) and abundance of TOs (14) in the first 10 games does warrant some merit. However, simply but, if Flacco has someone (other than Smith) to throw to, it might have been a different story. Out of those 10 games, the Ravens lost the game by less than 8 points. He is in his 9th season. If Flacco wants money, he'll get money and the team will remain as mediocre as they have been for the past 3 years... need I remind you... 3 place in the division 3 years in a row....and the fact that 3rd place this year demonstrates the gap between the Ravens and the other (Steelers / Bengals) is widening. However, if Flacco wants immortality - meaning, a place in the NFL HOF, he'd better (like Brady) think about sacrificing some money so he has someone to protect him and someone to throw to.
  4. I still have concerns with the defensive secondary. Saints really didn't start passing the ball until they were down 2 possessions. The line appeared to get some pressure on the QB but he was still able to pass for big chunks of real estate down field that put them back in the game. The Ravens have always been weak on the corners. The offense looks impressive. I particularly liked how the QBs always found the wide open man down field mostly in the middle of the field - either a TE or a receiver running kind of a 8 (post) or the 2 (slant) route. The offensive line opened up some impressive holes for the rush. Not a lot of penalties... good discipline .Too bad, so sad Brynden. TAUNTING in a pre-season game? Harbaugh has cut players with such attitudes for doing much less. The refs called a pretty good game albeit, I think that missed intentional grounding call was a mistake.
