  1. The guy certainly has some fire, kind of the anti pees lol. I doubt anyone will be jumping to give him another HC gig, although Caldwell hasn't done much better. Maybe wait it out and hope Detroit cleans house again and Austin becomes available!!
  2. Right, he seems to be a fan of this excuse, so I ask what is HE doing to correct these technique issues? If it's just technique, that is correctable right? So why in 4 years are we still having technique issues? That seems like something they should be doing in practice, and not that it's totally on pees, but when things aren't getting corrected, and you're letting that happen, you need to go. It's funny in the Seattle game last week, they were talking about Cary Williams. They showed a play of his from 2012 where he was basically hopping in his back peddle. They were literally loling at him. Then they showed a play when he went to philly and his technique was slightly better, but still pretty bad. Then, in 3 months of being in Seattle, his technique was absolutely perfect, flawless. And he's shutting down Megatron. That's what good coaching can do for a player, and something we just don't have.
  3. You're right in regards to high priced free agents aren't the answer, except when it comes to a position that we historically don't draft well or develop at all... WR. It maybe time to spend some decent money on one, then sign another moderately priced one, then ease Perriman in as deep threat.
  4. We have given up 137 points in 5 games. Pathetic
  5. Awesome!!!! I literally lmao!!!!! I needed this
  6. Another week, another 4th quarter lead blown. We had 10 days rest, basically a bye, and can't finish. This d still can't make tackles. I'm not sure why I'm surprised.
  7. Have to agree. And you could make the argument that we were in every game with what we have. The problem is we won't have Sr, who was our only real target for an undetermined amount of time. If we have to rely on Marlon and Akien as our top 2, we will be in serious trouble.
  8. I've been saying this for a couple of weeks, but it might not be that simple. We have to waive somebody to bring him up. We also will need a spot for Urban and Pitta when (if) they return. If we're not going to bring him up, we may just have Webb fair catch on punts and put LT or Allen back there to return kickoffs.
  9. Because Sanu, Jones, Brandon Tate and Greg Little are all free agents at the end of the year and they will have to make choices. Either Sanu or Jones will walk, I would imagine Sanu would be their top priority.
  10. If that was true we would have activated Ross from the PS who was a great returner for the lions the last few years. We brought him in to play WR too. Probably to take Camp's role, they have a very similar skill set.
  11. Not really surprising. They have invested a lot more into the position than we have.
  12. I would take Marvin Jones, Sanu, Crabtree, or Ruban Randall. All would be upgrades over what we will have, not break the bank, and would pair well with Perriman's speed. Harvin doesn't seem like a guy the Ravens would target, too many issues.
  13. He obviously wants attention. There is no reason to be so consistantly negative about a team you allegedly are a fan of. It's not even worth the time responding to. It's why there's an ignore button, if people would just stop quoting him, it would be like he isn't even here!!
  14. Fixed that for you. But I don't know if anyone else pays attention to punt coverage, but Waller has been KILLING it as a gunner.
  15. Sucks to hear about Camp. Hopefully Steve won't be out for long, that looked like a nasty kidney shot he took. But I'm glad we made a move to add somebody, the cabinet was getting pretty bare. Hes got some speed too, which defiantly helps.
  16. Right, I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen Juice and Forsett more involved in the passing game. Camp looked like he was finally getting some good looks before he went down. But I thought the rbs would have been more of a focus.
  17. I don't think Butler gives us anything we don't already have. I would rather see Ross activated. He has decent speed and could help on returns.
  18. He looked good. Hopefully he can build on it!!
  19. This is one of my biggest issues because it's correctable from a coaching standpoint. If you're going to bring pressure, it's not a good idea to let your corners play 10+ yards off. Your basically giving the offense an easy way out. If the corners are pressing, or atleast closer to the LOS, you make the QB hold the ball. What's the point of even bringing pressure if your leaving wide open hot routes? So we don't get beat deep? Well that's happening too.
  20. And we did it without an agreed upon contract extension. That probably played into what we gave up for him. We let him test the market and he ended up taking our deal because he wasn't the top free agent at his position. Now, that strategy most likely wouldn't work with a player like Jeffery.
  21. There are a lot of "should's" and "if's" in that article. Does it make sense? Maybe a little if Jeffery doesn't want to resign, but that's info we don't have at the moment. Would I like us to try and get him? Absolutely!!! I loved the guy coming out of South Carolina, I wanted us to use our 1st on him. He would be a playmaker that we simply don't have right now. We might be able to accommodate a larger contract next season, but 25 year old receivers like him don't often get traded. I'm sure the planed on him and Kevin White being their 1 and 2 when the took White.
  22. That is a terrible reason to keep a coach. If he's been consistantly bad, what good is continuity? To always be bad? There no advantage there. The price of being a good team is other teams try to poach your coaches and players.
  23. It's defiantly a problem. I remember the years when I would be happy to see the d on the field. Now, I have no confidence in us getting a stop at any point in the game. Feels weird to say because for so many years it was the defense that carried the team, not anymore. All we can hope for is a bad throw or a dropped pass.
  24. Never did before?!? We may have been watching different teams. This has been a problem for the last 3 seasons.
  25. The point is if that is a major weakness of the team, and it has for the last 3 years, you obviously need to spend time teaching it. Players come from all different types of teams in college. Alabama for example teaches excellent fundamentals and it shows in their players. Not all players come from that kind of situation. When you see guys just diving at receivers, I guess to try and knock them off balance, rather than wrapping a player up its a huge problem. He talked in his press conference last week how hard it is to tackle in space, so then why is our whole defense predicated on giving the opposing team MORE space to work with? Then have a corner run at him full speed and just dive at the ball carrier. If that is ok in the coaches mind then they need to go. And they must not see an issue with it because it has been happening for YEARS.
