  1. Shanny or Hostler. Wilson is on Vikings staff now ...
  2. Last I heard, Ben was really the one that didn't get along with him. And the QBs opinion goes a long way. I wouldn't be opposed to the idea though. I would like to see what he could do with Rice and Pierce.
  3. I doubt the steelers would allow that to happen. Their front office likes him a lot. They wouldn't block a promotion to OC, but they would defiantly block a lateral move like that. I think they want somebody on staff to take over incase there is mutiny on Haley.
  4. Came across this article on Hostler. Not a huge fan of the site, but I found this interesting. It's odd how similar our numbers were last year to his year as OC in San Fran. http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2014/1/22/5335318/hiring-jim-hostler-would-send-wrong-message-to-ravens-fan-base
  5. Ok, then why not try going to a quick passing game to try and get the ball out quick?!? Nope, let's just keep running 9 routes and hope our oline can protect. This is what I'm talking about. Inability to see the problem is a cardinal sin.
  6. Torrey still can't catch with his hands consistently, get off press coverage, use his speed in and out of his breaks, or track the ball. But other then that, yeah, he's come a long way. Deonte Thompson?!? Why in the world did you even bring him up? He has what 20 career snaps at WR?!? He has shown absolutely nothing and that's being generous. And yes, he has had injuries, but he also has been healthy and not made it to the field outside of preseason. And what does Derrick Masons opinion of him have to do with anything. Do you honestly think he would say that Hostler was inept? He gave the typical "company line".
  7. My point is just because he is here and knows the players, doesn't make him qualified to run the offense. The position he has coached for the last 6 years has been the least productive group on our roster. The players lack the fundamental skills of an NFL WR. And none of them have improved on these things. That's not lack of talent, it's called poor coaching. It's not a coincidence that our 2 best WRs were free agent acquisitions who learned these skills before coming here. I've been critical of Hostler for 3 years now. I'm not one of these kids that reads a post about him being bad, and then start ranting about it. I wanted this guy fired with Cam long ago. And now we're talking about promoting him?!?
  8. So what in there makes you think he would do a better job here? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what we have isn't much better then what San Fran had. He also had a hand in the play calling and offensive design this year... And we were terrible. I just don't see any change there. It would be one thing if we lit it up this year, but we didn't. It's time for a fresh face and new ideas. With so much of the old staff gone, it's time to finish the job!!!!
  9. Yeah, I got that!!!!
  10. Wow... Shutter
  11. Has anyone considered James Franklin from Vandy? He is a hot name at the college level, but he is a fantastic coach. Under his coaching as an OC, the Terps won 10 games under Friedgen. A feat that is severely under appreciated. He made Danny Obrien look like a pro QB, but he then killed his stock by transferring to Wisconsin. Friedgen told Franklin that he wasn't leaving, and was going to be at UMD for the forseeable future, so Franklin took the Vandy job and made them relevant for the first time in my lifetime. Bottom line, he is a phenomenal offensive mind and could be just what we need to get this offense turned around. The only real question would be is he willing to leave Vandy for an OC job in the NFL...
  12. Sucks to lose him... He was a Raven. A 6th is little compensation for a player of his caliper, but I guess it's better then nothing. Still, I will hate to see him in another jersey.
  13. Love this guy!!! Doesn't want to play for anybody else.
