  1. Is the issue a lack of WR "depth" or is the issue the lack of WRs in general? Because I'd be fine with guys like Chris Moore and Campanaro being depth guys, but wouldn't want to have to depend on either of them to start at this point.

I debated putting Jabrill Peppers for the Packers pick. I think he would be a good versatile pick for that team who loves moving their secondary pieces around.

I think that would be fair, losing Hyde leaves them pretty thin at safety.

No John Ross in the first round? Thats surprising to say the least

It would make sense for him not to go in the first because at the end of the day he is an undersized receiver with a history of injuries to both knees and unreliable hands.

That being said, I am 100% sure that someone is going to completely ignore that and take him in the first because of a really fast underwear run.

Edit: Looks like Ross was actually taken at 18 in this mock.

Joey and Rossi are frauds. It's more like one person Joey Rossi, a South Philly transplant.

We've never seen JoeyFlex5 and rossihunter2 in the same room at the same time, if those are even their/his/her real name(s).

McDowell needs to improve his ability to find the ball when engaged. That doesn't seem to be part of his game yet. He will beat his man and lose sight of ball carrier.

Sort of puts his head down and tends to ignore everything but the guy in front of him.

Haven't watched him in a while but I remember at least two games where he didn't play well and really was pushed around, mostly at 5T.

Generally, you had better double team this guy on third down and this is no small thing to me. Pretty sure he can develop more in the run game.

Defense has severely missed getting pressure up the middle. This guy can win and win quickly and I'm very intrigued by the thought of him at sixteen.

I always got the impression watching McDowell that he's the classic "Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" type of guy. Granted I don't know if thats a scheme problem or not. He played a lot of NT/1T at Michigan State and he won't do that in the NFL. Plus since he's added 20 pounds to his listed weight, that will significantly affect his play.

I think you're right though. He never really used his length as well as I thought he should of (Never seemed to be the guy to get hands up to block passes). I'd have to go back and look at his tape because I'd want him to play the 3T alignment if he was drafted at 16.

I did hear a lot of pundits knocking him on his interviews for what its worth, but if the Ravens took him, I'd be interested to see how they used him- I'm under the impression that the FO plans on a lot of DL rotation, but I don't think you could justify keeping McDowell off the field as much as would probably be ideal if hes taken at 16.

    Who would those 3 be?

I mean you could probably guess by looking at my history, but Ross, Robinson, and Peppers would be my concerns. Don't get me wrong, I'll be over it in an hour and eventually be happy about the pick.

It's not even that I think any of those three are terrible, im fact I have good things I could say about each, but there's things that irritate me about each of their game films that I know would probably frustrate me every Sunday.

Cowboys have already shopped him.  Go look it up. Because of their needs and can't pay a lineman after paying  Smith Frederick and Martin. Players get injured all the time. How many times has Perriman been injured? You have hopes for him? Lawson and JuJu may not be there. When Chad Kelly throws in a couple weeks at his own personal proday we will revisit your comment that he is going undrafted.  And highlight this thread for draft day. And see if Chad Kelly is undrafted.

The Cowboys shopped him last year, but he's cheap and they can't afford a replacement for him this year.

I definitely wasn't knocking thw JuJu pick, I'm not his biggest fan, but I think a 3rd rounder on him is fair. I have high hopes for Perriman like probably every other Ravens fan does- but I'd still prefer a receiver or 2 be taken in the draft.

I wouldn't be dumbfounded by any means if Kelly got drafted late, but I would be surprised. But I think his injury and off-field concerns probably hold him back in a way that his pro day won't help. Not saying whether or not he deserves it, but that's just how it is.

  10. Collins is coming off an injury and technically in a contract year (RFA next season). Plus the Cowboys need him since Leary and Free are gone. So that won't happen.

Lawson is a decent value pick in Round 2, but I expect he'll be gone by then. Same with JJSS, but if he's there in the third I think he's a good pick up.

Would love Sutton or Elder in the 3rd think both are gonna be pretty good. I'd take Elder over Sutton at this point because I think Elder would be a good returner.

Haven't watched much of Morgan or Jones, but wouldn't complain about either depending on the board.

    Chad Kelly is going undrafted.

How are any of those options better than webby who in his first season at safety showed solid play and created a nice tandem with weddle - at worst he comes in as solid depth but he could also potentially allow pees to get creative with Jefferson and weddle to maybe offset the loss of Orr in coverage

I still think bringing Webb back is the best plan. I'm still worried about throwing Correa/Onwuasor out there to fill Orr's role because neither of them really (at this point) has the instincts and coverage range that Orr had. Jefferson did a lot of the same things in Arizona that Orr did last year and sticking him in the safety role that Webb played last year (imo) would be a waste of his true talent. Someone on the team needs to be the guy that will do things like neutralize TEs and deal with guys like LeVeon Bell catching passes out of the backfield- bringing back Webb would allow Jefferson to become that guy first, and a true safety second.

I agree and if I had to choose between Mangold and Webb I think I would choose Webb. He has been here for so many years and would give the secondary more depth. I know the offense has been neglected this offseason like it always seems to be, but if this team is going anywhere in the playoffs it will be riding the defense.

I'd be all for Webb over Mangold. But I'm also one of the people who thinks Mangold is done.

  13. I think bringing Webb back would be a super underrated move. The best way to use Jefferson is to move him around: blitz him, let him follow TE's, play him as the nickel linebacker, stuff like that. Webb held his own last year when he moved to safety and was not a liability. Anything that makes the team more flexible in the secondary is a good move imo.

  14. I saw a while ago that Harbaugh had mentioned Taliaferro as a potential Juice replacement (I guess because he played FB his first year at Coastal). Thats probably more of a bad sign for him than a good sign though.

  15. I think a couple QBs could go before 16. I'd wouldn't be surprised if Trubisky and Watson went in the top 15 picks. I haven't really budged on Mahomes or Kizer, they both seem like Round 2-3 guys, but I think we could see a team trade back into the late 1st for one of them to get that 5th year option.
