  1. I wouldn't feel comfortable with Urban or Kaufusi playing 3T, or with Pierce playing 3T full time, so I guess my ideal situation would be to go for a guy like Caleb Brantley, Carlos Watkins or Larry Ugunjobi in the Rounds 3-4 range to compete with Willie Henry for snaps. Idk, I didn't watch many Interior DL.
  2. You know how many good players can get drafted in 25 picks? 25.
  3. Jernigan was a really good player and will most likely have the best year of his career this season. He was definitely the best interior rusher on the roster, but I can't say I'll miss the mental lapses and penalties. And also the redzone fumble recovery fumble. Won't miss that at all. But he went to a team we won't play this year, so we can still wish him the best.
  4. It would have been two years. He would have been a free agent next year (2018) and signed and the comp pick would have been given in the 2019 draft.
  5. He did disappear from the stat sheet for like 4 weeks to close out the season. I'm interested to see if this is simply a cost move or if there's actually some faith in Pierce/Henry to handle the 3T snaps.
  6. His 40 time got him "graded twice" so to speak. Everybody knew before the combine that he was really fast. I don't know why his 40 matters that much. His hands let him down and his routes are not anything special- he'll occasionally freeze a CB with a stutter step, but that's not going to work as often in the pros. He might give a spark on a few splash plays now and then, but I don't see him turning into the kind of reliable receiver that is going to consistently move the chains.
  7. I think Lamp will probably go in the 15-20 range anyway.
  8. I remember Paxton Lynch visited last year. Thought that was weird.
  9. I don't think anyones ever knocked him for his talent, his vision and agility are incredible, but whoever drafts him is getting either a 200 pound running back or a receiver who has never really played receiver.
  10. Im not saying thats a good reason to take OL. I don't think Ramczyk or Robinson is great value at 16- maybe Bolles but even he has issues since he's 25 and has limited tape out there. But the Broncos being OT-less playing against Mack/Irvin, Houston/Hali, and Ingram/Bosa each twice a year would be sad/funny. On a serious note though, the value of non-LT OL in the draft should be higher (not QB high, but still high). Its not really possible anymore to get even decent OL- guards, RTs, centers- in free agency without dropping over 8 mil/year and especially with this draft I think if the team wants to get difference-making OL this year, they'll need to reach.
  11. I still think half the value of taking a lineman in this draft is to keep Denver out of the playoffs again. If they cant get Ramczyk, Bolles or even Robinson, their starting tackles will be Donald Stephenson and Menelik Watson- which definitely doesn't equal a wild card spot.
  12. Late, but I think Obi Melifonwu and TJ Watt are going to be surprise Round 1 guys. Not a huge fan of either but they seem to have picked up steam.
  13. I think the Jalen Ramsey situation might be an isolated one. I think that since corner was a desperate need it might have driven them more. At this point, the only "desperate needs" in my mind would be pass rusher, OL or receiver. So if Barnett is sliding I think that they would consider it, but I don't think the receivers and linemen in this class are really guys to jump up for.
  14. I could live with Ramczyk over Robinson. But leaving Barnett and Davis on the board would make me sad.
  15. I still need someone to explain to me why Cam Robinson is being considered good.
  16. I'd be between Wilson (CB, Florida) and Bolles (OL, Utah)
  17. I'm not high on Robinson at all, but I don't know how I could exist in a world where Ereck Flowers is a top 10 pick and Cam Robinson isn't. Would genuinely confuse me.
  18. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Robinson, Ramczyk and Bolles were off the board at 16. Jacksonville really needs OL more than anything else, same with Indy, Cincy and the Chargers (Im sure theres more). OL getting overpaid in FA should probably lead to OL overdrafts. But I personally don't think the value is there to take one. On my "board" I have Bolles around 20, Ramczyk around 25, and Robinson around 35.
  19. The only position that would surprise me in Round 1 would be QB.
  20. This is a good mock. Need to check out Seaton, but sounds like a good pick.
  21. I think the loss of Watson was definitely a problem. He was one of the best red zone weapons in 2015 with the Saints. Then the Ravens had redzone nightmares in 2016.
  22. I'm prepared to deal with frustrating offensive drives again, but since Marty isn't going to be running Trestman's offense next season and Perriman can get a full offseason of prep in there's a little bit of hope. Plus if a guy like Williams or Davis is the Ravens first round pick that could make a pretty big difference too. The line is definitely worrisome sans Zuttah and Wagner, but if the FO's trust in Lewis, Urschel/Jensen and Wesley/Nembot isn't unwarranted it might be okay.
  23. Im still curious about the Watson situation. Realistically the team could end up keeping all 6 TEs if only 5 WRs (Wallace, Perriman, Moore, Camp/Reynolds, Draft Pick) are on the 53 man and Boyle takes the Juszczyk roster spot.
  24. I think John Ross has a good enough skillset aside from his speed (hands/routes) to justify him as a top 20 pick.... But I'm going to die worrying about all those injuries.
  25. Real winner is Maurice Canady who can start a Carr-Woodhead bidding war for that 39 jersey.
