I feel like he just isn't ready yet, and that's fine. It would have been nice to see him with Dumervil out, but the position is fine with Suggs, McClellan, ZSmith and Judon. He'd probably be getting more time on defense as an outside guy if he hadn't been competing with Orr all preseason for an inside spot. I don't think we should calling him Arthur Brown yet.

I want to see another week out of Zuttah before we start calling for his benching. Rex has always gotten a lot out of his interior DLs. Danny Shelton will be a good test for Zuttah imo. I've been more worried about Wagner going into the season. He seems more like 2015 Wagner than 2014 Wagner, which is discouraging. He should have a good matchup this week.

Nothing against Shepard but I thought he was a high floor, low ceiling prospect. I wasn't big on the Chris Moore pick after the draft, but I'm pretty encouraged with what we've seen so far from him. I think Moore could end up better than Shepard, but could also end up worse. Definitely gonna need to get some young Receivers on the team soon though, I don't think Aiken sticks around after this season and with SSR retiring, the team will need some young WRs to compete with (foreseeably) Camp and Reynolds for those last roster spots.

With RG3 as the starter, there's always a chance we'll see Josh McCown.

Cleveland is going to want revenge for last year, so I'm not going to just count them out. Coming off a close win, the Browns could always possibly catch the Ravens off guard.

Camp being waived/injured means that once he cleared waivers, he was added to the IR, but may be released from the IR with an injury settlement. He hasn't gotten an injury settlement yet, but if he gets a settlement you're right. Butler was just the odd man out unfortunately. Elam/Davis were on the initial 53 man roster so that they're able to be recalled to the 53 man roster if they get healthy and are needed.

He'll probably be a gadget player/reverse option at some point this season. I'm just keeping my expectations low because I like the guy and I know how badly turf toe can affect a player.

Nobody's ever really considered him a receiver though. They tried to make him the No. 1 receiver in the Bears offense for a couple years but he's always been more of a gadget player than a receiver. We probably could have stuck him with a DB number here, he won't get any meaningful Offensive snaps at this point in his career with his injuries.

Yeah, receivers need to be between 10-19 or 80-89. He was able to pull off 23 because he was a cornerback in college and didn't really have a position when he was drafted. Guess he was able to keep it because he hasn't played meaningfully as a receiver during most of his career.

I'm just worried about his foot injury. Breaking bones in the big toe can affect his stability a lot, even after it heals it still won't feel the same as it was before. I think he'll bring value in the ability to cleanly field punts, but I wouldn't expect many homeruns from him this year.

I think that if Trestman has a bad season he could be fired, if he has a good season he could become a head coach somewhere else, like every other OC not named Cam Cameron. I didn't even think Caldwell did a great job before the Lions hired him.

My read on the Bills is that there's a lot of young talented guys on the team that have things to prove. I think we need to find out if Jerry Hughes is going to be able to keep doing damage without Mario around, if Tyrod can carry the offense, if Gilmore is going to step up as a shutdown corner and if Darby is going to get over the rookie wall he hit last season and if the right side of the OL (Miller and Henderson) can step up. I think the Bills could do some damage this year if a couple of these end up working well for them.

I think playoffs will be tough to make this year. Realistically, I think that we will be behind the Steelers and Bengals, which will both get to playoffs again, then we'll be in the mix with the second AFC South team (Colts/Texans/Jaguars), second AFC West team (Chiefs/Broncos/Raiders), and the second AFC East team (Patriots/Jets/Bills). Its not impossible because most of these teams have pretty big question marks.

Wake up and go to church- doesn't feel right watching the game if I don't. Then eat a nice lunch. Come home, then I usually try to put on whatever jersey corresponds to the one the Ravens are wearing (Excited about Sheldon Price making the team, so that my 27-Rice jersey can be repurposed), I don't wear it to church because I'm in Pittsburgh. Then I sit and pet my dog pretty much the whole time to stay relaxed. Then watch the Seahawks game with my Seahawks fan girlfriend if it doesn't conflict.

I think that every team either has Cap struggles or is on the verge of having Cap struggles. The Ravens tend to draft better than most NFL teams and tend to have to make hard choices with new contracts (Resigning Smith/Yanda led to the inability to sign KO/McPhee, etc. sorry if those aren't good examples). All the teams that are big spenders are going to be in bad positions pretty soon. For example, the Raiders are going to have Cap trouble when it comes time to resign Mack and Carr while the Cap is being eaten by the Sean Smith/Bruce Irvin/KO contracts. I don't really think that there are any "bad contracts" worth complaining about. Eugene Monroe's contract ended up being a disaster, but at the time, he was paid less than top tier LTs, while he had been playing extremely well. Same with Pitta to an extent. It was only really injuries that set those two back, which is more of a luck thing. You can't really make a contract to a player in their prime that says "If you get injured, you make 75% less money" because then no reasonable player would sign it.

I don't really get it either. I think Butler's issue was that as a receiver he was still buried on the depth chart and didn't offer much value as a returner, or at least wasn't considered to. It seemed like the PR job was put up for grabs between Camp and Reynolds, but Camp was struggling with injuries and Reynolds wasn't ready. My guess is that Camp and Reynolds probably compete with someone else next offseason for the PR job, but being disfavored to a 2017 draft pick/free agent that has a 3 or 4 year contract.

Last Spot goes to Jarell Broxton

I think this is going to be a rough game. The Buffalo Defense is no joke, even without Marcell Dareus, I still think that they're an above average defense. The DBs are good (likely better than the Raven WRs). I think that the Ravens are going to need to have a good day running the ball and attacking the LBs in the passing game. The Bills offense could be interesting, if Sammy Watkins gets going, this game could quickly get out of hand for the Ravens. I think containing Tyrod is not going to be a problem and I think that The DL is going to give McCoy a bad day. Ultimately, if Watkins gets going and this game turns into a shootout, the Ravens are unlikely to win, but since Watkins has had some struggles with injuries this offseason, I don't think he is going to be playing out of his mind in week 1. Score: Ravens 24, Bills 20

I think just the signing bonus is guaranteed by week one, either way it looks like a lot of the contract is incentives. I'm just of the opinion that the sooner we move towards someone else as returner the better.

I think it's obvious that Hester isn't a long term plan. The FO waiting to sign him until after cuts shows that they assume they'll be cutting him during the season (and won't have to pay any guaranteed money).

Butler seems to be pretty upset with how he was treated this preseason. Wish him luck on TB practice squad.

Ughhh can we just cut Hester already. Washed up and always injured. I'd be happier not fielding punts and taking them where they lay.
