  1. I do think the goal in drafting him was to get a bigger, physical receiver instead of a burner. I wasn't a huge fan of the pick when it happened, but it seems to have been an okay pick up to this point.
  2. I say wait until the bye week to try and shake things up. No sense throwing off the chemistry for what (most likely) isn't a huge upgrade.
  3. I don't think Carter is in discussion as an inactive, you don't put a ST guy on the roster then make him inactive on gameday. Probably going to be someone who has been filling his role: Z Smith or Judon if one hits a wall.
  4. I expect he'll just go on IR unless something happens to West or Forsett.
  5. Most players play below their 40 time. Pro Days/Combines are generally when players are in the measurably best shape of their life. They did that veterans combine a couple years ago and I don't think anyone cracked a 4.7 40.
  6. I'm thinking Telvin Smith covers Pitta and Ramsey takes the slot. JAX runs that Seattle Cover 3 defense though. Perriman/Wallace up against Davon House is the matchup worth exploiting imo. House struggled with Travis Benjamin and Tyrell Williams. Amukamara might be out again, so if Josh Johnson is seeing a lot of time, he should be exploitable too.
  7. I think that the San Diego game is an outlier, Jacksonville has always struggled in west coast games. I guarantee they won't be as sloppy this week. If the Ravens want to win, they're going to need to play better than they did the past 2 weeks.
  8. I'm happy with where the team is at right now. They did to an extent luck out with some easy early matchups, but considering how many players are coming off injuries, how many new players are in new roles, and a lack of offseason practice for Joe to get chemistry with the receivers, I expect these to be problems that get better as the season goes. I know many people think the OL is a big mess, but I think that once Zuttah and Lewis can settle in a little more, things will get better. Kyle Williams and Danny Shelton are tough match ups for Zuttah coming off of injury. Roy Miller (who might not be playing this week, i don't really follow Jags injury reports well enough to know) is going to be a much easier matchup for Zuttah. I think we should focusing on the things that have gone well so far- Orr seems to have helped avoid a drop off from Daryl Smith, Stanley hasn't allowed a sack, Shareece Wright has been more good than bad, the Weddle/Wallace signings have worked out, Perriman exists, there's more depth at OLB and CB, etc.. I had lower expectations for this season, I wasn't expecting to blow anybody out right out of the gate. So I still think we are in a good place of finding ways to win close games instead of losing them. The cliche is that that's how championship teams are made.
  9. Yeah I was digging around there too. 75% of them want to lose so they can fire Bradley after the London game. I am amazed how confident a couple of them are predicting blowouts from a team that gave up 38 points to a team that lost their best receiver (Allen) and their statistical leading receiver from last year (Woodhead). Don't get me wrong, the Jaguars are capable of winning this game, but it's probably not going to be any sort of landslide.
  10. Malik Jackson doesn't really line up over the C very much, will be lining up most between Yanda and Wagner, Roy Miller is their Nose.
  11. That would definitely help- would weaken both the LT and LG spot with Joeckel sliding over. I hadn't seen that though. Thanks for the heads up. If that happens I think the score is a lot closer and Ravens sneak in a 14-13 win.
  12. I think the Jags are a lot better than the Browns as a whole. I think this is going to be an extremely difficult game to win on the road. I think that Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns could end up being too much to handle (I think that they'll pose a much more difficult challenge because (a) they are better than Coleman and Pryor, (b) Bortles has a better arm than an injured Josh McCown, and (c) Jax has less weak spots on the OL- i.e. No Cam Erving or Austin Pasztor to exploit), and I think that the Jacksonville defense is going to be a lot more prepared than they were against San Diego, Fowler and Ngakoue had very good games against the Chargers OL (which is a bad OL, but we do have 2 rookies starting). All that considered with the fact that the Ravens struggle with back to back road games could spell trouble. The Ravens best opportunity is to throw long and often, which has gotten mixed success so far this season. I definitely hate to be that guy, and I hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking the Jags take this one 24-10.
  13. I think he got overthrown a little, doubt he's too upset.
  14. I'm thinking that was more of a chemistry issue than an accuracy iszue. Should be something that improves weekly.
  15. Flacco seems to still have a little bit of a chemistry issues with non-Pitta receivers, which is to be expected after his rehab. Except for the two picks, I thought it was a good enough day. Run game is having issues, but with rookies at LT and LG that should be expected. Slight improvement from last week in my eyes. Defense really stepped it up after a rough start. I think once the defense made some adjustments, things got better. ST was great with the FGs and the blocks. Hester gave us everything we could expect. The Browns caught the Ravens sleeping to start, but it's good to see the team finding ways to win instead of finding ways to lose.
  16. Perrimans not built for those 50/50 balls. Gah!
  17. Thinking it gets overturned. Bummer. Edit: Wait nevermind! Awesome!
  18. Same exact inactives as last week. I guess the Ravens expect to pass a lot again.
  19. It's clearly not nothing if he's being put on the injury report, if it was soreness or just a rest day, Harbs would have mentioned that like he mentioned Mosley sitting out today. .
  20. Fingers crossed about Perriman. It would be heartbreaking to lose another season.
  21. It's like these people want to dive back into the Gino Gradkowski days
  22. Lol I didn't realize the unveiling was only for selling them, that's pretty funny.
  23. So we have to watch a game with all-purple uniforms against all-brown uniforms... great
  24. I think raising fists is the thing now.
