  1. Lewis started the first preseason game at LT with Stanley out if i remember correctly. Hurst got time at guard during the preseason.
  2. They don't need to cut anybody for Dixon. He's on the roster already. Thinking Buck could be cut for Waller since Buck won't do much with Dixon coming back.
  3. The Waller situation intrigues me. I think Buck Allen is the obvious choice for release when Waller is back, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a guy like Price since most of Waller's value is on ST at this point. Seemed like the switch to TE was nominal as I think Waller was playing split out for most of the preseason.
  4. The Browns one was an overthrow.
  5. I will say that PFF has some uses, but there are a lot of flaws with some of it's methodology-- i.e. not accounting for situational football. It's not science/analytics like many people think it is-- it's just analysis by writers. If you're interested, Bleacher Report does the same thing (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2665845-nfl1000-ranking-the-top-1000-players-from-week-3/page/16) and has ZDS ahead of Judon for what it's worth. I think it's more of a role issue though, most of Judon's snaps have been on passing downs, which are snaps that would go to Dumervil. Based on what we have seen so far, ZDS has been getting more opportunities, so I think it's safe to assume that'll continue unless something happens.
  6. I don't really think ZDS has been inept, I know he had that injury issue the past few weeks, but even with the injury, ZDS has been getting more snaps than Judon. If there are lingering issues with ZDS they can always make him inactive, but the snap count hasn't reflected that being an issue. Here's the snap count website if you want to browse btw. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/snapcounts
  7. Even Correa plays a lot more on ST than Judon. Judon hasn't played consistent snaps on ST or defense, and he unfortunately lacks a role once Dumervil is back. Correa is also the back up inside backer, so he'll need to be active if Orr or Mosley needs a break.
  8. Well that doesn't sound good for him lol
  9. I liked KO, but let's not pretend he was the most dominant, reliable OL we've ever had. I always felt as though he was battling through some kind of injury for half his career and until he played a couple of meaningless games at LT, the only other body of work at tackle that we had was his rookie year at RT (which wasn't great). I'm definitely glad to see him being successful, but really there was a choice between KO and Yanda and it's obvious that KO was going to cost a lot more even though Yanda was better (just older). Also no to the Wagner-Jensen-Zuttah-Urschel-Yanda line. Too much shifting/new responsibilities for what may only be a few games- if it's a season-ender that's one thing, but this seems like a small ding. Hurst struggles, but it's better than creating struggles across the entire line. Plus Mack lines up mostly over the RT anyway, so moving Wagner seems like a bad idea off that fact alone.
  10. Im sorry but that's absolutely insane. (a) theres no long term injuries forcing that big of a shake up. Moving players around causes a drop off and this arrangement would weaken not 1 spot but 4 (!!!!) Spots- insane to throw off the consistency for one week of injuries. (b) Mack lines up over the RT most of the time, so moving Wagner to LT is counter productive, Yanda at RT has been serviceable in the past but hes been struggling (by his standards) as a guard this year. (c) its clear that Hurst is the swing tackle since he's active every gameday and doesn't take many ST snaps. You can definitely complain about Hurst if you want, but he's on the roster for situations like this.
  11. Probably more likely to see Stanley than Lewis. Concussion protocol usually takes more than a week to get through. Walking boots, in and of themselves, shouldn't cause too much concern.
  12. That's what happened in the preseason if I remember correctly.
  13. I'm thinking the inactives this week are: Allen, Dixon, Lewis, Henry, Davis, Powers and Judon. With Urschel and Dumervil being active. Edit: Just heard Stanley's in a walking boot. If that's an issue- Stanley inactive, Judon active.
  14. My issue with the "Bench Zuttah No Matter What" people is that they don't realize the tradeoff that the offense has to face with (a) a younger, inexperienced player calling out the schemes and (b) the danger of snap inconsistency. I'd much rather have a center getting pushed around a little than one calling out bad protections and making bad/incorrect snaps.
  15. I'm going to keep my expectations low. Putting too much optimism in a Rookie RB coming off a knee sprain doesn't seem like a great bet. He certainly could ball out, but let's not do him a disservice by expecting too much.
  16. I'm definitely fine with that. I think the most important responsibility for the RBs this week will be to help block Mack anyway.
  17. I legitimately think we're better off not making corners follow receivers. I want them prepared for the offense instead of the receivers. Increases chance of turnovers while risking some unideal matchups.
  18. In lighter news...Rapaport said that Kenneth Dixon is ready to return to practice. Wonder how that factors in to the game plan.
  19. Its hard to gauge a lot of his career because the foot injuries have been brutal, but late last season he was playing pretty well when nobody else was. It's really hard to complain about contracts nowadays anyway considering how much bad teams pay to average players-- Especially at QB, Pass Rusher, and CB. Those seem to be the 3 positions teams won't to risk losing. Currently he doesn't have a huge cap hit, but his performance will likely get re-evaluated next year when his cap hit jumps from 5 mil to 12 mil. I don't really think we'd be better off with Wright starting opposite Powers/Davis/Young though
  20. Haven't looked at him yet, but he sounds like a Justin Gilbert?
  21. What do you mean by 12 games?
  22. Its impossible to statistically gauge the Ravens. All their victories have been in the margin of error. I will say though finding ways to win close games isn't about luck as much as its about preparation and determination.
  23. Idk if I'd go that far because Crabtree and Cooper are both very good receivers, they're both bound to get open a couple times especially with that line, but if there's one team thats done a good job responding to adversity, its been the Ravens.
  24. I question the ability of the corners that the Raiders have gone up against so far. The Saints have lost both their starters, The Falcons have Trufant who seems to be having an off year, and the Titans are just a Mularky-led mess despite Dick LeBeau. McCourty is old and overrated and I never thought Perrish Cox was very special.
