  1. This is definitely a winnable game. The blueprint is there: Dallas's only loss was to the Giants in week 1 when the run game was stuffed and Dak had to throw 45 times. If you stop Elliott and you force Dak to throw, this becomes a winnable game. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Cowboys haven't played very good defenses this year (Giants-16th in yds allowed, Redskins-21st, Bears-11th, 49ers-32nd, Bengals-24th, Packers-10th, Eagles-5th, Browns-31st, Steelers-25th). The Eagles are the best defense they've played (though still behind the Ravens), and that game went to OT. The Packers had a decent showing against the Cowboys offense, but that was a game where the Packers offense gave up an interception and 3 (!!!) fumbles. The Ravens offense is going to need to really step up to make this a competitive game, but the Dallas offense (though it is a great, young offense) might not be the juggernaut its been hailed as.
  2. I was focusing more on the Ravens Offense v Dolphins Defense, and I do think you're right, but as far as the Ravens' defense goes, they've struggled tremendously when they haven't been able to get pressure and Miami definitely has one of the better OLs that the team will see. I think watching how the D plays against Dallas is going to be big. Miami has had some good showings against good defenses. I think that the Chargers, Jets and Bills are all above average defenses, and though I think that the Ravens defense is better than those, I still think this could be an ugly game.
  3. I could be wrong, but I think only the jerseys have specific rules about when you can wear them. I think the pants are free to be switched and swapped whenever.
  4. I think Miami is going to be a harder game than people think. Their strengths align with the Ravens' weaknesses. If the OL is still unsettled, which it appears it is going to be for the rest of the season, the Dolphins' DL could tear it to shreds. Their biggest weakness is in the secondary, but without protection, I'm not sure the Ravens can rely on their passing game as much. The Miami offense is a mixed bag. They have young talent and a good OL. Offensively, I feel like they have a lot of similarities to the Raiders. Yeah Tannehill isn't as good as Carr and the receivers are a step behind Crabtree and Cooper, but I still view Miami as a really difficult game. I honestly am unsure what to predict out of the last stretch, but I don't think it'll be pretty. Never know if the Ravens will lose to teams they should beat and beat teams that they should lose to. The AFC North opponents are going to be desperate and will be playing hard and it looks like every other team we play will be fighting to get into the playoffs.
  5. Dak cant throw a good pass over 10 yards.
  6. I don't feel good about the game, but I don't have any tangible reasons to think the Browns will win.
  7. I was sad, then I was happy.
  8. Honestly, I wasn't too surprised with the rustiness. Despite the penalties, Stanley has the potential to be a great blocker and hasn't had nearly the same struggles Oher had on the left side.
  9. I think he was only in because Gillmore was out and Maxx was on IR. From what I saw, he didnt bring much as a blocker. My issue is that we kept running formations with him that weren't working.
  10. Joe's INT was a terrible decision. I dont think anybody is disputing that. Aside from that the game was unremarkable, like every Steelers game. I was impressed with that drive where he hit Perriman 3x.
  11. Well I think Kessler went down, so we're likely to see everyone's favorite journeyman again. That should make yoi nervous.
  12. Think his signing is a forgone conclusion at this point. Can't really be worse than Hester.
  13. The Good: The Defense held their own. Kept Pittsburgh out of the game until the 4th Q. Especially impressed with Tavon Young despite a few bad coverages. The receivers seemed to play better. The Bad: The offense really struggled. They didnt do very much. The OL seemed rusty, Joe seemed uncomfortable. Nothing really got going for them. The Ugly: Dat Onside Kick. Too much James Hurst on the field.
  14. When haven't we seen a Harrison strip in a Ravens-Steelers game
  15. Have to hold my breath after every good play to hope theres no flag.
  16. Dixons vision is concerning me.
  17. OL isn't holding. They need to play better and give Flacco space to step up.
  18. Its going to be a long game.
  19. I still don't trust top RBs. Yeah Zeke's been good, but after seeing Gurley regress behind the Rams OL and mixed results from Gordon, I'm less inclined to be enthusiastic... But if we take Fournette, I'd be a Fournette fan and viciously hope for his success.
  20. I think you might be able to make the argument that college football has fundamentally changed in the past 10 years. This change to an extent makes it more difficult to identify top notch talent because so much of what college playbooks are built on is not stuff that is happening in the NFL currently and when implemented hasn't been successful- see Chip Kelly. There's a laundry list of players who were talented in college but simply haven't translated those skills to the pros. When you look at college OL and receivers and pass rushers and DBs, it's almost like they're playing a different sport. The FO has had success at certain positions- interior DL, offscrimmage LBs, RBs and TEs but there's an argument that those positions have been the most unchaged in the new era of college football.
  21. I think the problem with trying to pull what the Patriots pulled is that (from what I've heard), Collins wanted out of NE and to go to Cleveland. Doubt the Ravens pull the plug on Williams quite yet even if only to keep the locker room unified.
  22. They lose their highest 4th Round Pick, which is more likely to be the Browns than the Patriots.
  23. I was confused, but it was clarified that they get the Browns 3rd Comp if the Browns are given a 3rd Comp this year, and a 4th if the Browns are not given a 3rd Rd pick, the Pats get the Browns 4th round pick. The problem is that the Browns are unlikely to get a 3rd round comp pick and the Patriots would forfeit the Browns 4th Round pick bc deflategate.
  24. How exactly are we supposed to react?
