  1. With two corners out... Still a proud ravens fan
  2. Hester is killing this team.
  3. For anybody whose seen my past comments... crow.eaten.
  4. There's drone racing on ESPN2
  5. Throwing to Running backs every play <<<<<
  6. Well if the Patriots are as confident as this board is that the Ravens are done, they're gonna lose this game.
  7. The perimeter isnt where the Patriots win. it'll be extremely difficult to win without him, but its not impossible.
  8. Hesters been having these issues all year. never should have signed him. he was washed up in atlanta.
  9. I think that'd unfortunately signal a reversion to the "conservative" play calling that every complained about though wouldn't it?
  10. I definitely think that's a legitimate worry. That's a big reason the Ravens lost to the Jets- Forte scorched them a couple times. They did handle Bell pretty well out of the backfield though. It's going to be a big test for Mosley and Orr. The best thing the defense can do is hit Brady- maybe his only weakness is that he can get rattled sometimes. Tom's annual 3 Interception game hasn't happened yet, wouldn't be disappointed if it was tonight.
  11. If there's any defense that can slow down Blount, it's the Ravens. If the LBs can stay disciplined, they can get some big shots on Edelman- and I'm not super worried about Edelman yet- I don't think he goes anywhere without Powers getting extra coverage help. Bennett is my biggest worry and the receiving backs- I think they're an underrated part of the Patriots offense.
  12. Good news for the ST unit imo.
  13. I think this is going to be a very difficult game. The Pats defense is a lot better than the Dolphins. McCourty won't leave the middle of the field as vulnerable as the Dolphins did. I think that the Pats will have a plan to neutralize Pitta which will make things difficult for Joe. If the Ravens win this game, I think it will be because someone on offense stepped up (my left-field guess is Waller). I guarantee the Pats aren't taking this game lightly- they won't want to deal with Baltimore in the playoffs. Blount is a different back than the Ravens have played all year, he brings more physicality than any RB the Ravens have played up to this point (aside from Zeke maybe). Stopping both the Run and the slot game will be a big task for Mosley and Orr. Weddle might be the make or break player on the defense this week though- Jimmy/Tavon can handle Hogan/Mitchell, but Edelman and Bennett are definitely going to be the focal points- Powers, Webb and Weddle should pay special attention to them this week, I really don't like the matchup on Bennett by any of our players- he brings a unique size/athleticism blend that isn't far off from a Gronkowski type. But the Ravens have beaten better Pats teams than this, and if they can limit mistakes and stick through adversity (there are going to be turnovers and NE is going to hold a lead at points in the game) they can win this. It's a tall order, but they are capable.
  14. Saw on twitter that Utah's left tackle- Garett Bolles is considering going pro. He has one year of eligibility left, but he's already 24. I've only seen a little bit of him, but the dude could be a mauler, from the RT or guard spots.
  15. I don't think we can hold much against the Bills. If we dont make playoffs its because of that 4 game losing streak. plain and simple.
  16. A wildcard seems unlikely since the Ravens are still 2/3 games behind the 3 AFC West teams. Gotta beat Pittsburgh or they're done. Unless Rex makes something happen today.
  17. Yeah Buffalo looks like a disaster so far...
  18. I don't think the salary cap going up is very significant. I think it will just raise the bidding price for guys like BWill and Wagner, which is a bummer.
  19. Agree. Hard to call a 3yr/5mil bad for anyone, let alone an average safety with decent ST play that can start if needed.
  20. Yeah I could be off base because I really like those 2 haha and Im not secretly a GM or anything so who knows.
  21. I think Young takes it for me. Yeah he's gotten burnt a couple times, but he is a rookie corner and he has stabilized the cornerback position this year. I still think he's playing out of position on the perimeter, but he has vastly overperformed my expectations.
  22. Since I'm down the street from Cathy, I'll bite: Solomon Thomas has been getting a lot of attn on here, I haven't watched much of him, but I'd be excited to see what he could do on this defense. I'd love to move him all around the front, 5-T, passing down 3-T, OLB. Would love to see what he could do. Mason Cole is a good Center. I'd love to see him taken if he's there. Saw this morning on Twitter that he might return to school though. Definitely better as a Center than a Left Tackle and would love to see him maul some people. Chidobe Awuzie is one of my favorite prospects, but I'd be pretty surprised to see him fall out of the top 40 picks. Love his instincts and ball skills though. Haven't seen Replogle at all, I'll need to check him out. Same with Etta-Tawo. Big fan of Lamp, but I don't think that he makes it out of the Second Round since the OL class is weak and the top OL guys will go fast. Unfortunately, I think the Cowboys' success is going to lead to 5 years of overdrafted linemen.
  23. Probably not a popular scenario to discuss, but what happens with Zach Orr's RFA Tender? I know he's under the radar, but I could definitely see a team giving up a Round 2 pick to sign him, maybe even a Round 1 from a more successful, LB-lacking team (NYG comes to mind). Is it worth a Round 1 tender? Seems like a tough scenario to me.
  24. Is it a coincidence that 4/5 are in a contract year?
