All this Corey Davis talk pretty much guarantees we will not draft him. Shame too, he was my top pick for WR in this draft. Hope we get a good pass rusher or CB at 16 though.
As much as I was against it, I really think we should go WR 1st round. I know we can definitely get good defensive talent in the following rounds, our scout team/front office just needs to make the right picks this time.
Joe can't use the WRs we have now and god forbid a WR gets injured then bring back Anquan! We just need speed and it's not always a big name player everyone talking about! Big names want big money I want a Super Bowl! Joe had speed with Jacoby and constantly under threw him or he had to wait for the ball to come out the clouds! The game against denver Jacoby had to wait on that ball and the safety choked and the Super Bowl against the 49ers Jacoby had to turn and catch that ball when he could of caught it in stride! We have Wallace Perriman Moore so we just need a possession WR point blank! 5ft 10 or under with hands to keep the chains moving!
Agreed
Player I'm really excited to see, Ryan Jensen. I forgot about him, I definetly want to see him step into a starting role on our O-line.
This article is misleading. It's insinuating that since the team has stripped away most of the starting players we had during our 2015 season, that somehow it will equate to us having a shot at a championship this season, and that pundits are wrong for overlooking us this season.. Seriously Mink?
We are overlooked right now for GOOD REASON. Nobody deserves to get credit unless credit is due. This team has been consistently going downhill since our 2012 SB season. You can rearrange, shuffle, cut & resign players all day, that does nothing but mess up a locker room. Years ago, when we cut, traded or released a player it was either because he was not valuable, or THERE WAS A CLEAR BACK UP GUY that was READY TO PERFORM. Hence, Jarret Johnson, Bart Scott, Osemele, etc. Under harbaugh, this team cuts starting players with NO CLUE of who can fill the shoes.
In reference to Harbaugh talking about "players shouldn't wait until voluntary workouts to start their training." I'm thinking back on the season when Suggs came to training camp overweight, I could be wrong, but wasn't that the same season that he got injured early in the season, and missed the remainder of the season? If so, players training themselves before the voluntary workouts begin is vital, and Harbaugh makes a valid point. Learnt from Ray Lewis.
Barnett in a heartbeat! Of course the Ravens are aware of this guy and certainly have him on their big board.
I say this with great hesitation,
Here is the thing about picking a LB/DE with the first pick at 16, more than likely this year the Ravens are probably strong in this position. Sure pass rush seemed weak last year however with an improved secondary a team sacks, most probably, will increase on average.
This leaves the Ravens with 47, 74, 78, 90 to make up ground at CB, WR and OL and C. Not to mention a weakened running game for at least 4 games.
If Suggs replacement is looming, I'm not sure that I would sacrifice a shot at improving the immediate needs in order to seal a playoff run.
I absolutely would take Barnett if he was available at 16 along with lower board players, but not pick him over other options of top 10 draftees if they in turn are available.
This years draft and sophomore class is really going to come down to player development at the NFL level. We can only ask that the players who make the team will contribute to a high level.
A strong secondary does not increase a defenses capability to get sacks.
Jesus, please pray for Todd Heap and his family! They are dealing with a tragic event.
It broke my heart to hear it
My thoughts and prayers are with Todd Heap and his family right now..
Main thing Ozzie & crew NEEDS to think about... who's the next best/similar guy if Davis is snagged before we pick.
This team is so flaky at drafting top-notch receivers that I'm not even sure if we should use our 1st round on a WR. Also it seems a no-brainer that..if they are so poor at judging on WR talent, why not just listen to other peoples opinion on who to draft. I wouldn't be mad if we used the 1st pick on a WR, just because of the fact that we are paying Flacco a lot of money, and right now he has no real go-to guys.
Our record will depend on how well both our offense communicates with each other, as well as our defense. This team has been making a lot of cuts, and signings. We just brought in a slew of free-agents. Don't expect this team to just all of sudden hit on all cylinders. We just traded away Jernigan smh, our WR group is shady until otherwise, and we have a new group of RB's. Right now, our chances of being better than last season are slim unless our defense is somehow much better than last season, and our offense is more fluent.
Forgot we have Woodhead, he could be a real good addition to our mix of RB's. He's a downhill style runner, and a great compliment to West & Dixon (once Dixon is eligible to return). Just praying they all stay healthy come regular season. Dang pre-season smh.
So glad Webb is back in the building
Me reacting to trade: I was blown too!! Like I would have dang sure traded away B.Williams before giving away Timmy.
On a serious note, I think this org has made yet another bone-headed mistake in signing Brandon Williams to a huge contract and trading away Jernigan SMH. As soon as a slot opens up for Ravens GM, I'm applying!
B. Williams is not worth a star player contract IMO. I'd bite the bullet and look for a REAL franchise DT like Haloti Ngata. When we first drafted Haloti he instantly became one of the best DT's in the league. Brandon Williams is too slow and bulky.
I keep checking into BR.com to see what players were let go or picked up. But every time i check in it's just more speculation and rumors. When do the real moves start happening? Lol
Honestly, I would consult Ray Lewis about what moves this team should make and which FA's if any he thinks would be the right player to give this team a turn around.
33 years old though... And he's always on the NFL talk show, I do not want to judge a book by it's cover, because I haven't seen much of his tape from New York. But I do not think he's what we need.
Let's gen honest. Pitta had all those receptions because our pass offense was garbage outside of SSS. I don't hardly remember any of our other WR's
The only problem with releasing pitta is that we do not have a proven TE to step into his absence. That's the strategy that has been destroying this team. They keep releasing starting players without having a sure go to guy. They just assume that the next guy will perform just as good or better without having seen any real performance from them.
When a team is consitently lacking drafted playmakers, you don't blame the players, blame the coaches/management staff.
When a team drafts a player with their #1 pick they are confident they picked a playmaker......they usually don't "Hope" he becomes one.
Exactly! smh.
Great, now we have to keep our fingers crossed. I could be judging to early, but this 1st round pick is not the playmaker I predicted.
Garcon is a pure athlete, one of the most humble nfl players you'll ever meet, and would be a great fit in Baltimore with Flacco. I just hope that he's not too expensive.

Sometimes I wish flacco would march upstairs to the front office. At least it would show that he truly cares about this teams success while he dons the uniform.
