we have absolutely nothing on offense that would strike fear into any defense until proven otherwise. players need to play hungry and step up and the off coaching staff needs to know how to utilize what they have

We have Joe Flacco that can strike fear in teams "BUT" the bad play calling kills us every time! Teams expect to see that arm but the run on 1st and 2nd pass on 3rd and punt makes it easy for teams to figure out and then they know when to blow up the O line and rattle Joe! WRs need to play decoy and get the ball to our arsenal of TEs like brady and big ben are doing! No secondary can cover our TEs down field! THEY 2 BIG!

Ok, first things first...Flacco does not strike fear in any defense. If Flacco strikes fear in defense, then what do you call a guy like Rodgers or Brady doing to opposing defenses. I will say this, opposing defenses know Flacco is capable of throwing it deep, and that he can pull of a good drive here and there.

But the fact is, Flacco is very predictable, he does not call audibles when the play is so obvious, and he is inconsistent. I guess you forgot the games where he threw handful of interceptions, making average defenses look like the Ravens 2000 defense.

  2. Our defense is going to be so great this season. I just hope the coaches don't overwork our guys during pre-season. Because regular season is what counts, that's when accountability comes into place. Omg, with Suggs, J.Smith, Webb, and Mosley leading the pack, this defense is going to be exciting to watch. Along with Weddle. I expect M&T Bank to get back to the loud cheering 'DEFENSE!,DEFENSE!,DEFENSE!" Over the past two - three years, the chants have been fading, rightfully so...but now it looks like defense is back on the FO's priority list.

I'm so excited to see guys like Tim Williams and Chris Wormley light the field up. As well as Humphrey making our backfield that much more dangerous.

  3. Looks like we still have plenty of room to add more players to the 90 man roster.  Here's the latest list from nfltraderumors.  If correct, we still have at least 5 openings.

    Ravens

    1. Quincy Adeboyejo/WR/Ole Miss
    2. Kwade Miller/OL/San Diego State
    3. Zach Terrell/QB/Western Michigan
    4. Pat Ricard/DT/Maine
    5. Omarius Bryant/DT/Western Kentucky
    6. Brandon Kublan/OL/Georgia
    7. Kenny Allen/P/Michigan
    8. C.J. Board/WR/UT Chattanooga
    9. Tim Patrick/WR/Utah
    10. Mitch Leidner/QB/Minnesota  (tryout)
    11. Derrick Nelson/C/Rutgers (tryout)
    12. Theron Wilson/WR/Northwood (invite)

Awesome! This means if all goes well we can keep all of our current players. Or at the least it'll give them more space to fill the roster with playmakers.

  4. I honestly don't care what happens from now to the end of the draft! We already won! Let's take a few more fliers and then snatch a vet WR and C after the draft!

Like the attitude kid, I feel the same way as you. They've gotten back to the roots, back to what made this team great years ago. DEFENSE.

  5. I thought to myself after the second round how cool it would be to double down on both CB and OLB. We didn't quite do that but we got a DE and OLB both highly regarded players in the 3rd round! While I wasn't a happy camper with the unsexy pick in the first round, now I am seeing that Humphrey is an important piece of the picture that is taking shape! Go Ravens.

Heck yeah!! When we first picked humphrey, I told people to settle down and see how the rest of the picks pan out. So far it's stellar!!!! I'm so happy right now of what's to come!!!!!

The team has said that Correa will be given a chance to move to ILB and start next to Mosley.

He was given the chance last year at ILB and was beaten out by Orr and McClellan.  I think the walk-on Onwuasor beat him out in the pre-season as well.  Hope he can pick up the position.  May be tough for an under-sized OLB/DE who played in a smaller conference in college.  Seemed like a reach at #2 last year (sound familiar?), and I have no reason to think differently now.  We'll see.

I think you guys are mistaken, badly. Correa was dealing with injuries. I watched him in practice and he looked good. I think we had a bunch of "ok" MLB's and the coach just gave the nod to guys like Orr, guys who needed to prove they could be starters. I felt this way before and I still feel it now...Correa is the true underdog
