  1. I'm watching the ESPN pregame show...interesting! You'd never know the Ravens offense even arrived!
  2. I can just picture Kevin's description of "locker room" antics! Thanks for the insight.
  3. What is "passion"? To some, it's a flashy pregame dance, a fiery speech, etc. To others, it's showing up at 5 AM for a workout the day after a bruising, hard-fought game, enduring the pain of a rehab when you already have more money than you thought you'd ever need, standing in front of the cameras and admitting you have to play better, getting the coaches to alter the strategy resulting in three second-half TDs! To all, it's knowing that your teammates know and trust you!
  4. Let's see...a win - even an ugly one - against your chief rival and moving into 1st place! People like Crusader and its ilk apparently like to show off colossal ignorance! Just enjoy the win! The fact that, as Suggs said very clearly, the team needs to fix a number of things is probably not a surprise to the Ravens!
  5. Thanks Mr. Owner for making this Ravens fan proud...a classy individual is treated the kind of respect a family member receives (by a top notch organization).
  6. Three AFC teams are 3-0...and the Ravens are one of them! Who'd a thunk it? So the Ravens go from being the "...worst 2-0 team ..." (per the NFL Network) to now being the "...worst 3-0 team..."?
  7. I don't think a ball change can occur if the clock is moving.
  8. Well DUH! Enough coaches and players mentioned that already!
  9. Now, it seems to me that his teammates got an object lesson in what he means to this team! I bet Mike Wallace isn't the only Raven saying "Wow" to himself!
  10. If actions do speak louder than words, then Flacco was yelling at the top of his voice on Sunday!
  11. With 57 and 54, KC will have to work hard to get the max out of his skills, and he will have to produce! Nice problem for the Ravens to have!
  12. I noticed on Webb's blitz that after Taylor was forced to run to his right, Mosley and Jernigan chased Taylor directly while Webb and Z Smith seemed to run to a spot to possibly intercept Taylor if he was able to turn up field! Good instincts and good communication!
  13. terpmaniac, I recall the mid 2000s when we had one of the elite defenses and yet never won it all. You say the Ravens play down to the competition, but did you ever think that the worst NFL team IS STILL one of the 32 best football teams in the world? If a team knows it's not where it would like to be, then individual pride and professionalism take over. When McCown went crazy last year, it might have been because the Cleveland O-line (with a couple of Pro Bowlers) decided to step it up against a D that had so many injuries! Maybe Cleveland (and other teams) played above themselves!
  14. Any QB that suffers an ACL and MCL tear toward the end of the season (even midway) isn't going to be 100% in his first game the next. There's no way. Has he recovered phenomenally??? YES. Is he ready to cut and run in a gametime situation??? NO. Anybody that expected Joe to look like a probowl QB yesterday was fooling themselves. interesting...a QB returning from a major injury throws for over 200 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT for a 99.9 rating! Not a bad first game back. Toss in a defense led by the Ryan Brothers, even better! Having the offense get the ball with under 5 minutes and never giving it back was best!
  15. Several points: 1. It was an exciting (read that as nerve-wracking) game to watch. My emotions ran the gamut between; 1) fear that, like 2015, SOMETHING bad would happen; and a growing confidence that the team finally figured out how to win! 2. Like his buddy, Pitta showed little emotion and just did his job! 3. "Tough as a $2 steak..." I loved it! 4. Who was this offense that took over the ball with less than 6 minutes to go... ...AND NEVER GAVE IT BACK!!!!!!
