  1. I guess the decision for Hostler is for another day... but with Kubiak's experience as an OC, Hostler certainly wouldn't be as involved as he was with Caldwell (if he is still here)
  2. I know the texans were near dead last in points but they still were almost top 10 in yards. even with the broncos, he nearly got top 10 in yards in both of cutlers first 2 years. at least now they have 2 impressive resumes standing in front of hostler now. id be shocked if Harbs passes on both of them.
  3. I hope he is a different guy away from his father but I wouldn't expect anybody to cause issues here with the people we have in place.
  4. Look at it how you want but here is another perspective about Shanahan. Its gotta be a little concerning hearing this but i think Harbaugh would not put up with anything and put him in his place. As a former member of the organization put it: “Kyle [expletive] about everything, and then his father has to fix it. He [expletive] about the food in the cafeteria, he [expletive] about the field, he [expletive] about the equipment. He complains and then Mike takes care of it. Kyle is a big problem there. He is not well liked.” Several members of the organization said Kyle Shanahan was a cause of internal strife, surrounding himself with young coaches with inferior experience, and allowing for no checks and balances of outside voices in the offensive coaching rooms. “This is the NFL, it's not supposed to be a training ground for coaches,” said someone who has worked with Kyle Shanahan in Washington. “It's ridiculous. Look at this staff. It sucks. ... Kyle's not that confident, so they set him up with a bunch of yes men rather than have some experienced coaches to push him. It's like Kyle is the pied piper and these kids just follow him around." http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24418041/report-kyle-shanahan-gets-second-interview-for-ravens-oc-job?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+cbssportsline%2Fnfl_news+(NFL+Football+News%3A+CBSSports.com)
  5. We are interviewing Steelers RB Coach and we have already interviewed college coaches. Harbaugh elaborates who he wants as an OC. He also said the search shouldn't take much longer. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/John-Harbaugh-Names-Four-Offensive-Coordinator-Candidates/77e00716-8cad-4ae6-a1cb-8b94da757191
  6. Aaron Wilson wrote in his article Linehan was interviewed along with Shanahan and several other candidates. Does this mean there have already been more interviews we don't know about? i saw someone in the comments point that out and it caught my attention, i got curious. It could be nothing.
  7. Didn't they say they wanted a run first coordinator? im confused what that "profile" is now.
  8. Here is a quick reference for you, not including with the Rams as HC Vikings OC Pts Rank Yards 2002 - 8th 2002 - 2nd 2003 - 6th 2003 - 1st 2004 - 6th 2004 - 4th Dolphins OC Pts Rank Yards 2005 - 16th 2005 - 14th the previous year, the dolphins ranked 29th and 28th in those categories Lions OC Pts Rank Yards 2009 - 27th 2009 - 26th 2010 - 15th 2010 - 17th 2011 - 4th 2011 - 5th 2012 - 17th 2012 - 3rd 2013 - 13th 2013 - 6th
  9. Alright this is just scaring me. Calvin Johnson saved him from being a total failure. And we expect him to save this offense? Not good news and not sure where Harbs and Ozzie are going with this.
  10. This silence for a couple days sucks. I hope we interview Chud or Kubiak next week. I would be ok with Shanahan but theres still quality out there.
  11. He also had to work around one of the worst defenses in football and it was hard to play good offense when your head coach loses the team. They could not play inspired football at any point. maybe his dad gave him limited control over the offense too.
  12. Why not? Besides the RGKnee fiasco that was last year, he has had great success as an OC.
  13. Ozzie isn't going anywhere. as long as they hire the right OC, this team is easily in the playoffs again.
  14. Here is something encouraging regarding Shanahan... In 2 seasons as Houston's OC, their offense was 3rd and 4th in yards. pretty impressive with Schaub at QB and Steve Slaton at RB.
  15. Tried to find some opinions of Kyle on Redskins forums. When it was said the whole staff was fired, some wouldn't have minded if he was retained. Couldn't find a specific Kyle Shanahan thread though. Most of it was Dan Synder, RG3, Mike Shanahan related.
  16. People following Aaron Wilson's twitter don't like Kyle Shanahan. all i saw was "God please no" about 5 times
  17. Theres some better news! i would support this move.
  18. anyone know what happened to Chud's offense in Carolina during his 2nd year? just curious. Heard it went downhill after Cam's rookie season.
  19. according to Aaron Wilson, Harbs said he will interview people outside the building so don't expect Hostler or Castillo yet.
  20. I'm hearing a bunch of talk on ESPN and the comments about Norv following Zimmer to Minnesota. Has he worked with Zimmer before or just wishful thinking like us?
  21. If Joe gets to a Pro bowl level, wouldn't you expect him to be close to a SB? if he got to a SB with average numbers, the SB's will come if you give him the resources. Kubiak would get the most out of him (as would Turner).
  22. Bill Lazor is going to the Dolphins now, not with Caldwell as previously reported. Maybe he can take Hostler then! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000313649/article/bill-lazor-now-miami-dolphins-offensive-coordinator
  23. This. Also, I don't think they would request a interview from someone outside the organization only to go back to Hostler after he is taken. i expect them to keep looking. the more i think about it, I don't think it will be him.
  24. LOLOLOL their best guy was their 7th rounder.
