  1. Really hope the rumors for a standalone Boba Fett film are legit. Didn't care at all for him in the prequel.

I just hope they don't turn it into another generic action flick and slap the name Boba Fett on it. Tons of movies have had some combination of a uber-cool, mostly silent, gun-toting bounty hunter. Just hope they get it right and don't use a ton of cliches.

  3. Love the hire. Matt Vensel puts it well.

Kubiak is a Shanahan disciple who brought zone-blocking schemes to the Texans and helped running back Arian Foster come out of nowhere to become one of the NFL’s best at his position in that offense. He was pretty multiple with his personnel, going three-wide on one play, using two tight ends on the next and then dusting off the fullback for a run out of the I formation. He also used a move tight end to try to create mismatches, which could be good news for Kyle Juszczyk.

In theory, Kubiak would kick-start a slugging Ravens running game and should also be a major asset to quarterback Joe Flacco given all of his experiences with Elway.

  4. I hate the attention Blake Griffin's, "dunk," is receiving. He threw the ball at the basket. To me, the poster is about more than just the degree of difficulty of getting to the bucket. It's also about the velocity of the slam in the face of an attempt to contest the shot. And with regards to the latter, there's a serious question of whether his hand even touched the rim. Sauce.

Another example of the Griffin hype train running wild. He's so overrated.

  5. Though it'd be nice to have another WR, evaluating them has not been a strength of the Ravens coaching/scouting staff. I would much rather bring in a FA like Hakeem Nicks than risking a high pick on a WR.

The OLine is nothing without strong communication between the Center and Guard. Monroe was a top 10 LT in Jacksonville with a horrid LG and Center. This past year, he proved himself to be above average considering starting next to two of the *worst* linemen in the NFL, Shipley and Gino.

The priority should be a C/RT, then FS, then WR.

I disagree. The failures of past WRs weren't strictly an evaluation problem. QB play, scheme and veterans WR being consistently brought in have hindered the progress of young WRs. I don't see how you let past failures dictate what you do in the present. Torrey has developed (maybe not to the degree some would like but he's still a solid WR nonetheless) and the team got more production from a UDFA WR in their history. I highly doubt the team makes a play for Nicks. They've never thrown money at FA WRs and even coming off a down year, he could easily get over-paid.

Again, I think the team can find solid centers and certainly a RT in FA or later in the draft. Same applies to FS. Improving the o-line overall is priority but the offense has lacked multiple pass-catching weapons for too long. That needs to change.

  6. I agree that we may be able to find a center/O lineman somewhere other than the first round of the draft, but fixing the O line is PRIORITY ONE, not only for the pass game, but the run as well and the offense as a whole. Any other needs take a back seat.

I'm not placing upgrading at pass-catcher above the entire o-line but if we're breaking down individual positions, I'd definitely say finding a play-maker at WR or TE is above C.

Monroe being re-signed/franchised and Osemele returning healthy will be huge. I'm interested to see how the team will address center and finding a RT will be huge too but those positions are arguably easier to upgrade or at least patch up than WR.
