  1. Lebron has to take more shots if the heat are going to win..

Spurs dominated the game though.. Huge win for them

True dat. Kawhi did a great job limiting him but he didn't play well in the second half. To be fair, other guys beyond him and Wade have to step up.

  2. Pro Era have the best eye for young talent but the production is hit and miss for me, I salute to the 90s but they need to move out of the past.

I'm just moving on man, tired of Kendrick and Duck Down. Even Freddie Gibbs new s all sounds the same.

They do get a bit bogged down in 90s-style beats. They seem to be transitioning to other stuff, based on The Shift EP. We'll see what Joey and STEEZ's albums are like.

Duck Down records? I thought Pinata was really good. Nice change from the ESGN sound.

  3. Bone Thugs. Yeah.

What's your favorite Bone Thugs track?

Chance the Rapper, CJ Fly and Joey Bada$$

That's the future of Hip hop.

Glad to see there's another CJ Fly fan here. Chance and Joey get a lot of love but I really believe CJ's "Thee Way Eye See It" was one of last year's best mixtapes.

  4. Because lots of people who don't normally talk about soccer, care a great deal about the WC. Then there is the fact that It's probably the biggest sporting event in the world that happens only once every 4 years.

In general yes, but on this forum, like arnie said, I don't see many more people talking about it than the ones that have been on this thread. Regardless, whoever wants to start a World Cup thread is free to do so.

    I see Brazil taking it.

  5. You can justify it all you want, but to the eyes of everyone outside of you two, those are dirty plays. Who gives hard fouls like that in an All-Star game? Just because those plays are in retaliation does not justify them. He overreacts when he feels that he got wronged in some way. They are still dirty plays.

No, I'm not the only who doesn't consider all of those dirty plays. To me, the Sessions knee was dirty and just reckless. No defending that. But on Kobe, he simply wrapped his arms around to prevent a lay-up. You're acting like he whacked him like the Pacers and Knicks would do to each-other in the paint in the 90s. To each his own on the retaliation. I'm not always for it but when it's sticking up for a team-mate in that way and after a guy casually elbows you in the  chhest, I'm not going to bury a guy if he's not going to take that lying down.

  6. Seriously, I'm obviously joking about the name, but those plays are obvious cheap shots. Every. Single. One.

He wraps his leg around Rondo and takes him down, that was not accidental. Maybe he didn't mean to hurt him, but it doesnt mean it isnt dirty. Running into KG, shoving Rip out of bounds, and that foul on Collison is egregious. You can't shove someone from behind as they are going up for a basket and not think that is dirty. Fouling Kobe hard in an ALL-STAR game? Cheap shot.

He clearly wraps his legs around Rondo but that's not a dirty play. Rondo was trying to pull him the other way, so Wade took him down as well. Guys fight for position and end up bring each down down literally throughout sports. He ran into KG because he was sticking up for Mike Miller. Had it been unprovoked, I would have considered it a cheap-shot but not in that situation. Rip elbowed him in the chest first. The Collison play only looks worse because of how small he is. And he wasn't the one going up for a basket; he was about to receive the but had no momentum. People complaining about the Kobe play makes me laugh every time. He simply wanted to prevent him from attempting a shot.

  7. And Wade doesn't know how to spell his own name, Dwyane.

Really dude? You'd think the guy wrong you personally.

Out of the long list of dirty plays Wade has racked up over the years, the Sessions knee is the only one I genuinely thought was dirty. I don't believe he was trying to hurt Rondo or Kobe intentionally. He was simply trying to get by Lance and Collison was in his way. That people complain about him flopping is a joke when you consider the sheer amount of players in the league that do it. I've seen Duncan and Manu flop tons of times. Who's calling them cheaters? It's a joke.

  8. I get what you're saying. Respectfully disagree.

He made the correct basketball decision in regard to passing it when you're covered, but to Bosh in the freaking corner? You're supposed to be the greatest. A better basketball decision would to be keeping the ball in the greatest player in the worlds hands and attempt to at least draw a foul. He had the momentum and angle on Hibbert. With his size strength and speed he could've made it.

I also think there'd be a huge chance that he would've gotten the call in that situation. That game would've took them to the finals. It was time for LeBron to not make the smart basketball play, but to rise up, be selfish and fit that narrative which establishes legacies.

Hibbert was literally in front of LeBron; there was no angle. We can assume he might have made the lay-up, drawn a foul but the play still ended up with a solid shooter taking a the potential game-winner. Also, do we criticize the play less if it's Ray missing the shot?

There's no guarantee he would have got any call there. I'm pretty sure his litany of past great post-season performances outweigh him passing to an open man in the clutch and that guy missing.

Nope. Down 2 with the ball in the best players hands and you kick to a center/forward for a 3 in the corner? At the very least, just get to the line to attempt 2.

Again, watch the replay. Hibbert was in position to block the shot. Bosh's position is irrelevant. He's hit tons of big threes over the past couple seasons and drilled the game-clinching threes against Brooklyn earlier in the play-offs. Where was the criticism for LeBron when he started that move then? It's foolish to praise a player for unselfishness and court-vision when the assisted shot goes and then say he should be more aggressive when it doesn't.

    1

  9. He should be taking that shot.

Watch the play. George was in good position and Hibbert was in position to swat the lay-up as well. There's no point forcing a bad shot just to fit the narrative on how superstars should play in late-game situations. Jordan passed to Paxon in Game 6 against Utah. LeBron made the right play; Bosh just bricked it.

  10. So happy the trophy drought is over. Also glad that players like Sagna, Fabianski and even Vermaelen and Podolski were able to win trophies in what was probably their last games as Gunners. Conversely, players that will be in it for the long-haul like Rambo, Wilshere, Ox, Gibbs got their first taste of glory, which should make them hungry for more.

Hopefully, Wenger bolsters the squad a bit in the summer because the foundation is there but some key pieces are still missing.

Just the Champions League final and then it's World Cup time.

  12. Your right.... I am referring to players in NCAA 1A not DIII schools. Mosley was an OKAY college athlete. Show me ONE reason why he was more than average. ONE..... Just one stat where was better than most LBs... ONE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

    BTW....

    Luck Kuechly

    Patrick Willis

    Ray Lewis

All had average college football stats right, and average metrics...... Oh and Shazier who is ELITE in EVERY measurable and had elite production in college AT EVERY LEVEL...

Oh and there is a BLUEPRINT for GREAT linebackers... to say there is not is naive.... Name one who had average metrics and average college production who ended up being ELITE... JUST ONE...

Again you cannot.....Its cool Ed_Reed20... this is the internet. Everyone is entitled to there opinion.....

It doesn't matter who you're referring to. Racking up tackles still isn't the sole indicator a guy can play. With that said, Mosley ranked 4th in the SEC in terms of tackles per game, so your suggestion he didn't produce is bogus. On top of that, he returned three career interceptions for TDs. Not too shabby.

I have already provided three area Mosley was better than average: his 40-time, 10-yard split and vertical. I'll go further and provide you with an example of a LB whose Combine and pro day numbers weren't eye-popping but is generally considering one of the most athletic and probably second or third-best ILBs in the league: NaVorro Bowman.

No, there isn't a blueprint. Not every great LB comes in the same package or has to clock certain times or jump certain distance. That's just moronic.

Of course folks are entitled to their opinions. They can also be challenged on those opinions, especially when they make little sense.

    1

  13. Name JUST ONE top 20 inside linebacker in the NFL currently who was not in the top 10 total tackles in the NCAA atleast once during there college tenure.....

Yeah just about all of the past great LBs in the NFL were GREAT college players....

And yes a 4.63 40 is pedestrian for a first round LB.... his 10 yard of 1.56 is average.... and 15 reps of 225 is a JOKE.... but again you need to look at other LBs who are GREAT before you make an opionion because clearly you have not.....

Don't try to turn the tables. You can't name a single top LB that was in the top 10 in total tackles in college. Even if you can, it means squat. According to the NCAA's website, the guy's that led the NCAA in college last year all played at tiny schools. I can guarantee you right now that none of them will be top LBs in the league.

And Mosley was a great college player. You're the only one who doesn't seem to think so.

So, what's the magical mark that makes you average or pedestrian and then above average and good? And what does it mean if you hit it on one run but just miss it on the other? Your conclusions are a joke. No, I don't have to look at other great LBs to form an opinion. There's no blueprint or set of characteristics that clearly indicate a player will be great. Some players simply don't test well but that doesn't mean they don't get it done on the field.

    I'm done.

Im not saying he isnt a good athlete... I am saying he is an AVERAGE NFL athlete. ANYONE who can play in the NFL is a good athlete by definiton.....

He's not an "average" NFL athlete. You have nothing to substantiate that.

    0

  14. AVERAGE tackle counts and PEDESTRIAN metrics (You know 40 times, Agility Drills, Bench) PLUS the fact his is undersized... but your right he is a "Good" athlete.......

You have no way of classifying what's considering "average" tackle totals, nor do you have proof that all past great LBs racked up more tackles than anyone else in college. His 40 wasn't pedestrian at all. A 4.63 is nothing to sneeze at and his 1.56 10-yard split is pretty damn good. No, his agility drills and bench numbers weren't impressive but again, he doesn't look to lack lateral agility on the field nor strength. He is a good athlete. That you can't see that is baffling.
