It's taken Scolari almost two full games to play Willian. Should have gone with him on the right from the opener.
1-1! Nicely worked and great finish for the equalizer.
Of course Pepe gets sent off. What an idiot.
It is kind of sad watching him. I can't imagine him in another uniform. Not trying to rub salt in the wound but I think he's better off just retiring. I think he has too much pride to accept a Ginobli role. Might just follow what ever LeBron does.
I don't see why he should retire; his game hasn't aged well but he can still be effective. He'd be a fool to let pride get in the way of him preserving his knees and extending his career but we'll see. As for following LeBron, he won't be able to if James goes to a team that already has some hefty contracts and he's not willing to accept a relatively deal. If he's willing to do that, there's no point in leaving Miami and just trusting the FO to rebuild and surround them with younger talent. We'll see what happens.
Since you're a Heat fan, what do you want to happen with Wade this offseason?
Hope he stays but at a drastically reduced rate. Been rooting for him for almost 10 years now but he was brutal the last two games of the series and has been noticeably declining the last 4 years. If the team could manage his minutes the way SA does Ginobli's, it would help but they need the financial room to bring in quality players to do that. He can't continue taking up a huge chunk of cap, rest for over quarter of the season and then fade badly when the team needs him most.
What does it matter when he won his rings? Players entered the NBA later then AND there were those pesky Pistons as well.
It matters because it proves that he wasn't a God and that he couldn't win a thing until he had a fully realized Pippen alongside him.
You have reasons for not liking him. To me, they're rather fickle but that's your right. I'm done.
You mentioned Jordan, no?
I did because of posts like this:
Heat look flat and pathetic. And people (mainly young) wanna compare James to Jordan. Hahahaha!!!
What did that game have to do with Jordan and yet he was brought up.
On the court, he was.
If so, why didn't he win a championship before '92?
That's why we all loved Jordan. He was a character, heck all the old players were. Almost everyone is so boring nowadays, and Lebron is the epitome of that. He has no personality outside of what his endorsers tell him. There's no reason to like him.
There are plenty of reasons to like him.
If Lebron punched someone on the team and got kicked out of practice like jordan did, you'd have a petition going around to kick him out of the league
No doubt. What if LeBron was out gambling during the play-offs?
Like you said man, people act like MJ was a god.
Okay. This is 2014 , so I'm talking about the Heat. Also, Jordan never acted like an butt with "not 1, not 2, not 3....". BUT did grab 6. Just hate the arrogance.
LOL You're talking about the Heat but Jordan's never far from the conversation for you when it comes to LeBron. And like Jordan wasn't arrogant. Remember when he punched a teammate in the face?
Yes. Dead serious. Getting beat by whatever it was..16 +/-, you don't just give up. 6 mins is a ton of time. I know its your Heat and more importantly James, but that was sad.
Again, he had played 41 minutes. The amount of energy he expended in the 1st quarter alone warranted a good amount of rest but he sat on the bench for I think less than a minute. It's not that it's my team or LeBron. But it's just funny how some folks never miss an opportunity to bash him.
And one took Ray Allen's help in a BIG way.
Like Paxson helped MJ win one of his rings.
Sorry, you don't just concede the final game of a series. Ever.
Are you serious? Everyone does it! You're getting blown out. You have no way to come back. You sit.
So, with 6 mins to play and down in the teens, you sit James for the night? In game 5 when the series 3-1?
You do realize he had played practically the whole up to that point. They obviously weren't going to come back. Every time the deficit was around 15 or so, SA would hit a few big buckets.
Kawhi for MVP?
Most definitely. Foul trouble limited him the first two games but he's been amazing since.
Glad to see France handling business. Benzema looks like he's in top form. The Hondurans are so dirty.
Glad to see Drogba get in there. I was able to watch him at that Chelsea/Milan game here in Baltimore a few years back and he absolutely rocketed a shot.
I was at that game too. Ridiculous strike.
Great cross by Aurier and header by Bony. The two top players I want Arsenal to sign this summer.
Wow. Another beautiful cross by Aurier.
Sweet strike by Honda.
Joel Campbell was electric for Costa Rica. Hope he keeps it up and Wenger gives him a chance. Signing a striker is still a necessity but he looks well worth keeping in the mix.
Disappointed with the England loss. Rooney should have buried his chance in the second half.
That's a big thing I noticed today. Spain's midfield just didn't seem to have it. I don't know if that's from age or not, but that's what it seems like. They weren't winning 50/50 balls and didn't have the speed or elusiveness to move the ball downfield.
The core of that midfield has played a lot of football over the last 6 years. Xavi and Iniesta are 30 and 34 respectively.Their ability to press relentlessly has clearly waned and Busquets and Alonso was overrun. Silva is a great schemer but needs support to be at his best.
Death of tika taka football. Barca on the slide, peps Munich not the same force, Spain too easy to play against. Counter attack fast paced football is the way to go. Hala Madrid
I don't know if it's quite dead but the decline of Xavi and Iniesta has been huge.
Forgot how great Cahill is at heading.
I'm not talking about Phil at this time. But it seems more exaggerated having James, Wade and Bosh. Almost zero ball movement on that team.
There is ball movement. There's not going to be as much when you've got three players that usually excel in iso. Plus, in this series, when the ball has moved, the outside shooters haven't been nearly good enough.
Alexis Sanchez is a beast.
I feel like I could coach as much as Spoelstra does. Whats does he really do? Talent carried them this far (meaning 4 finals in a row), but he's not really coaching.
"Give it to Lebron"
By that logic, what did Phil do with the Bulls and Lakers? Just give it to Michael and Shaq and later Kobe.
Spo's a good coach. There's not much he can do when the Spurs are playing hyper-efficient ball and two of his best three players aren't carrying their weight.
The series is far from over. I still believe Miami can win the next 2.
Love my team but the series is pretty much a wrap. The Spurs are better than they were a year ago; the Heat are worse. LeBron can only do so much.
Why is everyone saying this? Dude has 28 on 10 of 16 but yet it's all his fault
My god I cannot stand the amount of hate he receives and the way people idolize Kobe and Jordan like they're freaking gods
I think he went like 8-9 in the 3rd. Outside of a Chalmers bucket, no one else made a shot. Kudos to the Spurs. They're undoubtedly the better team and have played well on both sides of the ball but it's pathetic how small so many Heat players have come up this series.
Just the way it is. People love to play revisionist history.

Russia's keeper is horrendous.
