  2. Even though I'm not participating I'm interested in following this game. I just feel like the timing was bad. I'd love to do this next year.

I'm interested in seeing where two current players and the baddest bad boy from the 80's end up.

Just curious, when drafting, the assumption is that everyone is in their best career year?

That's how I'm looking at it. For example, if I was drafting Wade, it would be the Wade we saw from the '08 Olympics to June '09.

A franchise with our teams would be great in theory but there's no guarantee a lot of players would develop the same way if they were surrounded by equally or even greater HoF talents.

  3. Any Pro Era fans?

Checked the first page? Quite a few, myself included.

"Big Dusty" is a decent track but I loved when he spit one of the verses when he was on a UK a radio show. Flowed perfectly. Can't wait till he comes to Brighton in November.

  4. yea, its really just hitting me how disappointed I am in suarez leaving, and im a utd fan. Too many good players have been leaving the prem for various reasons and its disappointing to see.

Nervous for utd, think we need 2 more signings at a minimum

Fully agreed on Suarez. He's got some issues to say the least but he's one of those players that's genuinely fun to watch.

Wenger needs to sign a legit holdibg midfielder and if he's nit going to sign a striker, Sanchez and Campbell need to get time up front. Sanogo brings nothing noteworthy to the table.

  5. That in my opinion is why. The roots of hip hop were to spread awareness utilizing thought provoking lyrics. It's a total disservice to the entire genre when artists like Nikki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross are at the forefront representing it.

The roots also go back to people just riffing on the corner over beatboxing, which evolved into battle raps, which inevitably led to bragging.

Mos Def is my favorite rapper and I love guys like Kweli, Tribe, Black Thought but there are different sides to every genre and I love listening to other styles.

Artists like Ross and Nicki don't represent the entire genre. They're popular but anyone who truly listens to rap knows there are better lyricists and artists beyond them.

On another note, anyone listened to 'The Water' by Mick Jenkins? One of the best mixtapes of the year.

  6. Hip hop has been destroyed by These artists with no substance in their lyrics. I listen to early and mid 90s rap

Hip-hop hasn't been destroyed. There are still tons of great artists today. They may not get the shine of others but they're there.

  7. Can't wait for Ghost & Rae's releases. Same for TDE, A$AP Mob and K.R.I.T.

I've got so many songs from Pinata by Freddie Gibbs on repeat; damn good album.

Can't wait for B4.DA.$$ to drop. Hoping C.J. Fly or Nyck Caution or Dyemond Lewis release some solo material too.

  8. Well I hope you guys enjoyed NBA players in international competition, because that's over now.

It won't be. What happened to PG is obviously terrible but players suffering injuries playing for Team USA is no different than them potentially suffering one in pro-am competitions like the Drew League. The NBA can't tell players not to ball in the off-season.
