I can't remember which Wrestlemania it was but I remember Benjamin pulling off some crazy stunts. He's really athletic.
Horrible, horrible line. I chuckled at first until I sat and thought about it, then realized that I'm surprised no one from the hip-hop world called him out for it considering hip-hop's propensity for uber-masculine attitudes.
Since his album a number of years back, is Cena even recognized in hip-hop?
Part 2 is on tap for the weekend or sometime over my spring break... I'll end up watching 3 even though I've heard it was pretty bad in comparison... I don't like leaving Trilogies unfinished, you know?
I get you. I usually don't judge actors harshly on their performances but Sofia Coppola as Michael's daughter was horrible.
Finally saw The Godfather, and let me just say: What a movie. Top 10 all-time perhaps...
Certainly a great movie. Now go watch 2! lol But save yourself the trouble and don't watch 3.
It was maybe 10 minutes, tops. I'd argue that it topped the verbal KO that he delivered to Cena/Cole/Miz during his return two weeks ago, although that overall promo was much more significant and electrifying than this one.
This one was much, much more intense and more serious. It's difficult to compare the two promos since they were different.
Good to hear. I'll try and find the video somewhere over the next few days.
I missed it. Was it as long as the promo he cut two weeks ago?
I love it.
I'm actually happy "The Last Airbender" received a Razzie for being the worst movie. Hopefully, it'll deter Shyamalan from further tarnishing the name of one of my favorite cartoons.
Has anyone seen "Man on Fire" with Denzel Washington? Definitely my favorite movie of all time
It's one of my favorite Denzel movies.
lol Me too, me too. I miss the days of seeing Trish and the lovely Lita.
I liked Torrie more than Lita but those were certainly great times.
I'd try out for Tough Enough just to live with Miss Stratus >_>
I'd probably be kicked off the show for a *ahem* "lack of discipline".
She's a trainer on the upcoming season of Tough Enough, along with Booker T and other trainers to be announced. Stone Cold Steve Austin will be hosting but will not be living with the contestants and likely won't have much to do with their training.
Nope, she'll be a Trainer on Tough Enough. Now granted I was going to watch because of Austin, and seeing Trish would be nice but I read that they had Indy wrestlers try out for the show but they didn't make the cut. The main reason was because WWE has nothing to do with who is on Tough Enough, USA does and they were looking for a bunch of "male models" which explains why Miss USA is on the show. So that kills it for me.
Ah. Thanks for the info.
Trish is back? ![]()
Is it a one-night only affair?
Thanks for the recommendations guys.
If you watch closely, there were a couple of kids actually booing/giving him thumbs down... can't remember when exactly, but it may have been when he was calling out Cena.
It's understandable, as Cena is all they know. But it's funny that their idol has tried and failed to fill the shoes of the person they're booing for a good while now.
As great as the promo is, what really gets me are the moments leading up to Rock's theme hitting the speakers and the absolute elation in the fan's roar when it hits. It's spine-tingling.
Has anyone watched "The Crazies"? If so, was it any good?
I haven't paid attention to wrestling for around 6 years now but I had to post after seeing The Rock's return on Youtube just now. The crowd's reaction when his theme hit the speakers was electric. Watching him emerge from the ready room and bask in the crowd's applause really took me back.
Wrestling was the never the same for me when The Rock left. There were a few wrestlers I followed and enjoyed seeing perform and as a whole, it held my interest for a year or two more. But compared to the sheer entertainment The Rock brought, whether it be cutting a promo or in the squared circle, it simply didn't measure up.
Wrestling will never be what it used to be in my eyes but at least with The Rock's return, however brief it ends up being, I can be taken back to a time when it was genuinely fun.
Thor
Capt. america
Fast 5
I think Thor is going to be terrible I'm looking forward to the Captain America movie and Fast Five.
I seriously need a remake of The Last Airbender. By God, Shyamalan killed it with fire. I loved the series. Why did he have to do that?
It should have never been made into a live action movie in my opinion.
I'll agree on Forest Whitaker as an actor, though I'm surprised that Whitaker's chosen to direct some pretty bad movies. He's better as a character actor.
Agreed
Jadakiss' song was probably the worst-hyped political song in the history of hip-hop, mainly because he had only two or three insightful lines out of the entire duration of the song. Styles P, Nas, and others have done much, much better in making political songs. But, that's a different topic for a different conversation...
Back to the Denzel vs. Depp debate, it depends on the role. Denzel's roles have traditionally been grounded in contemporary realism, so for those types of roles, I'd give the edge to Denzel. Depp is better-suited for period pieces and fantasy roles. Some of the more mediocre roles that Depp has done have been in movies as average joes or protagonists in contemporary settings like in Nick of Time, Secret Window, and (from what I've heard) The Tourist.
I wouldn't go so far as to proclaim Johnny Depp or Denzel Washington the best actor of our generation just yet, when there've been other actors who have the range to do roles in all periods. I would make an argument that Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio, and (to an extent) Brad Pitt have shown range across both realism and fantasy, and have demonstrated as much consistency.Don Cheadle gets an honorable mention, largely because he's done more in supporting roles than some actors do in lead roles.
I agree wholeheartedly on "Why?" and you're Depp/Denzel contrast is fair.
If we're going to mention Cheadle though, Forest Whitaker deserves a nod too. Like Cheadle, he's been in a lot of supporting roles but is quite underrated.
johnny depp is far more versatile then denzel, could u c denzel in alice in wonderland, or pirates, or fear and loathing haha, but he can also do dramas, donnie brasco and public enemies to name a few, that being said they r 2 totally different actors, depp being more of a character actor, he seems to like doing different roles, where as denzel plays it safe and sticks to the norm. training day is about as crazy as he gets, and even that wasnt that crazy.
on a somewhat related topic i heard jadakiss say in a rap that denzel "had to be crooked before he took it" referring to his oscar for training day, he did of course win an oscar years before ofr a supporting role, but still and interesting take none the less, making it about race is another thing altogether.
Depp is more versatile but I think Denzel is better.
Jada spit that line in "Why?" and a lot of people felt the same way. Film awards are where I draw the line on invested interest so I could care less really.
take i am legend for example, i prefer alternate ending blu ray version, apposed to theatrical.
So do I. It's much more raw and honestly, believable.
Sorry, it's Daniel Day-Lewis
You're right. I like Denzel but Day-Lewis is even better than him.

Yes, it was a Money in the Bank match. I didn't know he'd been in multiple though.
Is Kofi still in the WWE?
