  1. Lol, when I saw Taxi Driver it took me a few seconds to realize that he was in it. He was so young in that. I started watching movies of his when he was older, like Goodfellas,Casino and A Bronx Tale. It's wierd going backwards haha.

I still haven't seen any of The Godfather's, I really need too soon, I feel I'm missing out.

You need to watch I and II, ASAP.

  2. Sad that Brazil could probably field 2 teams that could compete for a WC or Olympic Gold and we can't even qualify. I'd heard some good things about young US guys like Lletget. Still the shock to me is that Uruguay chose Arevalo over Forlan. I know Forlan isn't what he once was, but Arevalo over him?

I've read some good things about young US talent as well. We'll see if some of them pan out and help the team qualify for 2014.

    I think Forlan's woeful 2011 season played a part.

I know it's a friendly, but that Brazil team is ridiculous. Marcelo, Thiago Silva, Oscar, Neymar, Leandro Damiao and Hulk are all world class players that should be playing at real Major Tournaments.

Yeah, as the game wore on I saw who they were bringing on. Pato and Ganso joined Lucas.

Team GB's entire team is barely worth Neymar's price tag, nevermind the slew of other under-21 wonderkids they have.

Completely agreed on all points. I knew about Neymar but I'd never seen Lucas play. He's fun to watch.

Outside of Sturridge and Butland, Team GB was woefully unimpressive.

  4. the olympic tournament isn´t for pros...

Have you ever watched Olympic football?

germany will win the world cup in brazil. we have much more young talent than any other country. most of our young guys didn´t see the field at the euro.

that is because of Löw staying with the proven ones like schweinsteiger or podolski. they didn´t do anything last season and should have a tough going to stay on the team...

Germany has an impressive crop of youngsters, but Spain is still on another level in my opinion. Players like Javi Martinez, Cristian Tello, Thiago Alcantara (even though he'll miss the Olympics), Martin Montoya, Adrian Lopez and Iker Muniain will all be nipping at the heels of their older team-mates.

On another note, it sucks that RVP wants out.

  5. actualy IGN got direct from Disney , the chance of it is 65% the Sony part is true they reported on it . Expect an announcement on a Go at Comicon in 2 weeks

Fair enough. That was bare bones research on my part. I'd welcome a re-release, but I'm sceptical it happens.

  6. you guys hear the rumor of a Avengers Extended Cut Theatrical Re-Release , rumor has it that it will have footage on one of the Avengers not on the movie but was left out because Sony drug their feet on rights usage , Hint Oscorp tower is supposed to be behind stark tower but not enough time to add it in as well as some " special featurettes not added because of Content rights (filmed but not added)

It seems the extended theaterical re-release will stay a rumor. I'm looking forward to the deleted scenes on DVD though.

  7. Spain is loaded. I think they will be favorites for the World Cup as well.

How about Torres winning the Golden Boot? lol

Definitely. Both the Germans and Dutch have the talent to challenge them, but neither has Spain's winning experience or cohesion.Brazil and Argentina will have the talent to take it all as well, but how they perform on the field is another deal.

It's amazing. Or Mata scoring within two minutes of seeing his first action of the tourney?

  8. It's Liam Neeson v. The Most Interesting Man in the World!! Hahaha

I'm actually looking forward to The Amazing Spider-Man; it doesn't look half-bad.

I actually think it's going to be amazing. The shots of Spidey swinging alone put the previous films to shame.

  9. Wreck It Ralph looks to be funny. As someone that grew up playing most of these games I'm going to watch it.

Has anyone seen the previews for the upcoming Dredd movie? Looks to be way better than the Stallone Judge Dredd movie.

Someone told me he doesn't take off his helmet the entire movie.

  10. I see your point guys, but Messi's bottomlevel or whatever you'd call it is that much better than Ronaldo's. Ronaldo is clearly better on paper, but Messi has that Maradona-like figure, small, versatile and elusive as hell. Apart from that, he has a better understanding for the game and oh, he can see into the future

Messi's floor isn't significantly better than Ronaldo's and I don't see how he understands the game better either.

Milner is awful, i dont rate him at all, Ashley young hasnt been himself either. The english midfield is in dire straits at the minute tbh, if gerrard or Parker get injured they're [profanity deleted]ed

Agreed on Milner and Young. Hodgson could have made things so much easier on himself on the flanks had he taken Sturridge and Richards over Henderson and Kelly.

  11. Yeah that goal was good man, he just needs to keep his mouth shut. I think he was upset 'cause Prandelli (Italy's head coach) benched him at the start of the game.

By the way, I'd say Messi is better than Ronaldo. He's a close second, but Messi just has that edge. He almost never has an off day, which Ronaldo does.

I love his fiery attitude. He was definitely frustrated Prandelli benched him, but Leonardo Bonucci (the guy that covered his mouth after he scored) said Balotelli was speaking English. The Irish fans jeered him pretty hard as he came on in the second half; he was probably responding to them.

Like Rav said, Messi has his off-days, especially playing for his country. He was off against Milan in the first leg and in both legs against Chelsea.

Ronaldo is the better player in my opinion. He's more versatile, better in the air, better from set-pieces, passes the ball in open play just as well, and faster over a distance.

On another note, it's great to see Arsenal close to signing Olivier Giroud.
