Hibbert was literally in front of LeBron; there was no angle. We can assume he might have made the lay-up, drawn a foul but the play still ended up with a solid shooter taking a the potential game-winner. Also, do we criticize the play less if it's Ray missing the shot? There's no guarantee he would have got any call there. I'm pretty sure his litany of past great post-season performances outweigh him passing to an open man in the clutch and that guy missing. Again, watch the replay. Hibbert was in position to block the shot. Bosh's position is irrelevant. He's hit tons of big threes over the past couple seasons and drilled the game-clinching threes against Brooklyn earlier in the play-offs. Where was the criticism for LeBron when he started that move then? It's foolish to praise a player for unselfishness and court-vision when the assisted shot goes and then say he should be more aggressive when it doesn't.

It doesn't matter who you're referring to. Racking up tackles still isn't the sole indicator a guy can play. With that said, Mosley ranked 4th in the SEC in terms of tackles per game, so your suggestion he didn't produce is bogus. On top of that, he returned three career interceptions for TDs. Not too shabby. I have already provided three area Mosley was better than average: his 40-time, 10-yard split and vertical. I'll go further and provide you with an example of a LB whose Combine and pro day numbers weren't eye-popping but is generally considering one of the most athletic and probably second or third-best ILBs in the league: NaVorro Bowman. No, there isn't a blueprint. Not every great LB comes in the same package or has to clock certain times or jump certain distance. That's just moronic. Of course folks are entitled to their opinions. They can also be challenged on those opinions, especially when they make little sense.

Don't try to turn the tables. You can't name a single top LB that was in the top 10 in total tackles in college. Even if you can, it means squat. According to the NCAA's website, the guy's that led the NCAA in college last year all played at tiny schools. I can guarantee you right now that none of them will be top LBs in the league. And Mosley was a great college player. You're the only one who doesn't seem to think so. So, what's the magical mark that makes you average or pedestrian and then above average and good? And what does it mean if you hit it on one run but just miss it on the other? Your conclusions are a joke. No, I don't have to look at other great LBs to form an opinion. There's no blueprint or set of characteristics that clearly indicate a player will be great. Some players simply don't test well but that doesn't mean they don't get it done on the field. I'm done. He's not an "average" NFL athlete. You have nothing to substantiate that.
