  1. Great effort by Gervinho. Hope Ivory Coast can get the equalizer.
  2. Russia's keeper is horrendous.
  3. It's taken Scolari almost two full games to play Willian. Should have gone with him on the right from the opener.
  4. 1-1! Nicely worked and great finish for the equalizer.
  5. Of course Pepe gets sent off. What an idiot.
  6. I don't see why he should retire; his game hasn't aged well but he can still be effective. He'd be a fool to let pride get in the way of him preserving his knees and extending his career but we'll see. As for following LeBron, he won't be able to if James goes to a team that already has some hefty contracts and he's not willing to accept a relatively deal. If he's willing to do that, there's no point in leaving Miami and just trusting the FO to rebuild and surround them with younger talent. We'll see what happens.
  7. Hope he stays but at a drastically reduced rate. Been rooting for him for almost 10 years now but he was brutal the last two games of the series and has been noticeably declining the last 4 years. If the team could manage his minutes the way SA does Ginobli's, it would help but they need the financial room to bring in quality players to do that. He can't continue taking up a huge chunk of cap, rest for over quarter of the season and then fade badly when the team needs him most.
  8. It matters because it proves that he wasn't a God and that he couldn't win a thing until he had a fully realized Pippen alongside him. You have reasons for not liking him. To me, they're rather fickle but that's your right. I'm done.
  9. I did because of posts like this: What did that game have to do with Jordan and yet he was brought up. If so, why didn't he win a championship before '92? There are plenty of reasons to like him.
  10. No doubt. What if LeBron was out gambling during the play-offs? Like you said man, people act like MJ was a god.
  11. LOL You're talking about the Heat but Jordan's never far from the conversation for you when it comes to LeBron. And like Jordan wasn't arrogant. Remember when he punched a teammate in the face?
  12. Again, he had played 41 minutes. The amount of energy he expended in the 1st quarter alone warranted a good amount of rest but he sat on the bench for I think less than a minute. It's not that it's my team or LeBron. But it's just funny how some folks never miss an opportunity to bash him. Like Paxson helped MJ win one of his rings.
  13. Are you serious? Everyone does it! You're getting blown out. You have no way to come back. You sit.
  14. You do realize he had played practically the whole up to that point. They obviously weren't going to come back. Every time the deficit was around 15 or so, SA would hit a few big buckets. Most definitely. Foul trouble limited him the first two games but he's been amazing since.
  15. Glad to see France handling business. Benzema looks like he's in top form. The Hondurans are so dirty.
  16. I was at that game too. Ridiculous strike.
  17. Great cross by Aurier and header by Bony. The two top players I want Arsenal to sign this summer. Wow. Another beautiful cross by Aurier.
  18. Sweet strike by Honda.
  19. Joel Campbell was electric for Costa Rica. Hope he keeps it up and Wenger gives him a chance. Signing a striker is still a necessity but he looks well worth keeping in the mix. Disappointed with the England loss. Rooney should have buried his chance in the second half.
  20. The core of that midfield has played a lot of football over the last 6 years. Xavi and Iniesta are 30 and 34 respectively.Their ability to press relentlessly has clearly waned and Busquets and Alonso was overrun. Silva is a great schemer but needs support to be at his best.
  21. I don't know if it's quite dead but the decline of Xavi and Iniesta has been huge. Forgot how great Cahill is at heading.
  22. There is ball movement. There's not going to be as much when you've got three players that usually excel in iso. Plus, in this series, when the ball has moved, the outside shooters haven't been nearly good enough.
  23. Alexis Sanchez is a beast.
  24. By that logic, what did Phil do with the Bulls and Lakers? Just give it to Michael and Shaq and later Kobe. Spo's a good coach. There's not much he can do when the Spurs are playing hyper-efficient ball and two of his best three players aren't carrying their weight.
  25. Love my team but the series is pretty much a wrap. The Spurs are better than they were a year ago; the Heat are worse. LeBron can only do so much.
