  1. The film doesn't have the back-stories of certain characters or side-stories from the novel. Michael and Kay's relationship is also handled a bit differently in the films. I've liked all the GoT episodes I've watched, but I haven't gotten around to reading the books yet. Interesting. I'll definitely put it on my list.
  2. Good man. The novel is damn good as well.
  3. You need to watch I and II, ASAP.
  4. Watched City of God for the first time yesterday. Awesome film.
  5. I've read some good things about young US talent as well. We'll see if some of them pan out and help the team qualify for 2014. I think Forlan's woeful 2011 season played a part.
  6. Japan upsets Spain, Brazil hangs on to beat Egypt, England draws with Senegal; entertaining first day for Olympic football.
  7. A Completely agreed on all points. I knew about Neymar but I'd never seen Lucas play. He's fun to watch. Outside of Sturridge and Butland, Team GB was woefully unimpressive.
  8. What an idiot. He's had seven incidents (now eight) involving the police since he was drafted in '09 and three arrests last off-season.
  9. Fair enough. Being up that late isn't a huge deal.
  10. I take it you don't party much.
  11. Have you ever watched Olympic football? Germany has an impressive crop of youngsters, but Spain is still on another level in my opinion. Players like Javi Martinez, Cristian Tello, Thiago Alcantara (even though he'll miss the Olympics), Martin Montoya, Adrian Lopez and Iker Muniain will all be nipping at the heels of their older team-mates. On another note, it sucks that RVP wants out.
  12. Fair enough. That was bare bones research on my part. I'd welcome a re-release, but I'm sceptical it happens.
  13. It seems the extended theaterical re-release will stay a rumor. I'm looking forward to the deleted scenes on DVD though.
  14. Definitely. Both the Germans and Dutch have the talent to challenge them, but neither has Spain's winning experience or cohesion.Brazil and Argentina will have the talent to take it all as well, but how they perform on the field is another deal. It's amazing. Or Mata scoring within two minutes of seeing his first action of the tourney?
  15. Pretty anticlimactic end to an entertaining tournament. With all the young talent that didn't go to the Euros, I can see Spain winning the Olympic tournament as well.
  16. Balotelli is that dude.
  17. Both Portugal and Italy have a fighting chance of pulling off upsets. On another note, Giroud is a Gunner!
  18. I actually think it's going to be amazing. The shots of Spidey swinging alone put the previous films to shame.
  19. Lack of experience would be the crutch argument, but I would have brought on Oxlaide-Chamberlain for Young if I was Hodgson. Young had been so underwhelming the entire tournament, I wasn't surprised he missed his penalty.
  20. Someone told me he doesn't take off his helmet the entire movie.
  21. I think he just pointed at the camera and said, "Messi...!".
  22. After our Ronaldo versus Messi debate, I think this gif is pretty appropriate. Absolutely hilarious
  23. Messi's floor isn't significantly better than Ronaldo's and I don't see how he understands the game better either. Agreed on Milner and Young. Hodgson could have made things so much easier on himself on the flanks had he taken Sturridge and Richards over Henderson and Kelly.
  24. I love his fiery attitude. He was definitely frustrated Prandelli benched him, but Leonardo Bonucci (the guy that covered his mouth after he scored) said Balotelli was speaking English. The Irish fans jeered him pretty hard as he came on in the second half; he was probably responding to them. Like Rav said, Messi has his off-days, especially playing for his country. He was off against Milan in the first leg and in both legs against Chelsea. Ronaldo is the better player in my opinion. He's more versatile, better in the air, better from set-pieces, passes the ball in open play just as well, and faster over a distance. On another note, it's great to see Arsenal close to signing Olivier Giroud.
  25. Cracking goal by Balotelli last night.
