  1. Wish ya'll the best.
  2. Even without a truly dominant team, the Lakers are so far off the pace, they can't compete with the top guns. It's highly unlikely Kobe will get that help either. This article breaks down the contract fallout perfectly. Excerpts like these say it all:
  3. Who would be right player even be? I don't know about you second statement but overall, the West is most definitely deeper than several years ago. Tons of variables but I just don't see the Lakers being relevant unless a lot goes their way.
  4. They've got enough space for another max contract but they clearly need a lot more than just one other superstar to compete in the West, much less make a title run.
  5. No, he tore his left ACL last season. I don't think his career is done but he'll likely never be a top player again. It's a real shame.
  6. Reports are Bulls fear he tore his right ACL. Sad stuff.
  7. Thought this was pretty funny. ESPN 30 for 30 on Space Jam.
  8. Yep. Loving their form at the moment. Na, I'm hoping for a win.
  9. Agreed. As long Durant, Westbrook and to a lesser extent, Ibaka, stay healthy, they'll take the West.
  10. Catch of the year?
  11. Watched Prisoners over the weekend. Truly gripping thriller with a great peformance from Jake Gyllenhaal.
  12. Understandable but it the team's form is pretty impressive when you consider all the injuries they've dealt wiith. If the squad can stay relatively healthy until Cazorla, Walcott, Podolski and Oxlaide-Chamberlain return and Wenger makes a signing or two in January, I doubt there will be a serious collapse.
  13. Been quite a turnaround for the Gunners with 10 wins out of 10.
  14. Joel Ortiz's response was pretty good too. Love The Roots. Black Thought's soooo underrated. Anyone here bump to Dillon Cooper?
  15. Two interceptions in his first two games for Vernon Hargreaves III. I really think he can be the SEC's best DB since Eric Berry.
  16. As Ray said, Walcott can play up front, there's Yaya Sanogo, as well Bendtner. I'm not going to pretend the team doesn't lack striking depth but there are options. Agreed. I'm hopeful on a young DM being signed in January but like you said, with Flamini in the fold, I doubt one gets signed. While I love his game, I don't want to expect Vermaelen. Even when he's played over the past couple seasons, his play has been inconsistent.
  17. Love me some Kate Mara. I enjoyed Black Death the most as well. Gripping film.
  18. Giroud is off to a fine start. Regardless, the team doesn't need a 30-goal striker. They didn't have one last season and only United and Chelsea scored more goals. Agreed. Hopefully, a striker and DM and/or CB are secured in January. I downplayed the return of Flamini before but he could actually be a positive signing.
  19. Saw that (along with Black Death) several months ago. Both were pretty good. Another quality Purefoy flick is Ironclad.
  20. The lack of transfer activity has been an issue but it's early days. On another note, it's been a positive couple days for Arsenal. Beat Tottenham and Ozil looks to be on the way. Signing Ba on loan would be amazing but I'll be surprised if that goes through at this stage.
  21. Agreed Ramsey's current form and Wilshere going forward. Spurs certainly got a bargain for Eriksen. Not that Arsenal needed to spend the kind of money Tottenham has splashed this summer but again, it's just sad that they can land a gifted play-maker in Eriksen this late while Wenger re-signs Mathieu Flamini. At best, I see tomorrow's game being a 2-2 draw.
  22. Good to see the Gunners secure their Champions League spot comfortably. Been really pleased with the start Aaron Ramsey has had as well. For as much hype as Wilshere gets, Ramsey been the better player from the end of last season to now.
  23. Loved the Cardiff/City game today. Even though City played uninspired football, it gave me hope Cardiff could stay up this year, especially if Campbell stays healthy.
  24. Shameful way to open the season for Arsenal. Really hope they rebound against Fenerbahce on Wednesday.
