Embarrassing!
I'm wuz gonna vote four team who bestest helmut. but now I no I gonna pic cowBoy, Chargr, panthers, Siatns, giant. when does Ravens have gAme. Thank you.
If I wasn't a ravens fan I'd probably be thinking it wasn't really a catch but I'm glad for him that it was.He needs to work on those hands though. He's had some ugly drops. He dropped a wide open one last night and that almost wasn't a TD.If he can find his way in the second half of this season, that would be the breakthrough this offense needs to get over this slump....Well that along with our o line staying healthy.
Honestly I think since it was called a catch, it had to stay that way. It hit the ground a little but it was completely in his arms and grasp at the same time. You're right the Oline needs to stay healthy. But imo, it's ALL on Joe now. He has played AWFUL and scared this entire year except for 3 out of the last 4 halfs. Esp. with 10 days off, it loks like the oline is getting healthy, we changed Cord. whih he basically begged for, 2 awesome backs, and weapons galore in the passing game. He's starting to pick it up but he has looked worse than I've seen him in years so far this year. If it's cuz his knee then he shouldn't have come back so soon. No excuses. We would've strted 7-0 no question with averae or OK qb play. That's in the past though. From here on out is what matters. If Joe plays well, I honestly don't think anybody can beat us with the D we have. I think we have better weapons on O than we've ever had. Just my opinion. As John said, it's time to play December ball and start kickin butt beat and beating teams up
Lame. Joe did just fine, he gave good QB play. If the defense didn't blow 2 games or if the WR didn't drop buddy pass touchdowns in 3 games, or .... We are where we are and it is not on Joe, it's everyone.
Can't you just be happy for BP? He got that monkey off his back. I expect bigger and bigger things for him with each week now.LOL. Joe did do just fine. And play well. For the FIRST or maybe second time this year in 9 games!!! vs the Worst D in the league at home.
And the D blew 2 games?!?!?!?! You must be kidding. You mean the # 1 or 2 ranked defense in the NFL? It takes all 3 phases to win a game. How can you blame the D when they're on the field the entire game with our 3 and outs? Take out last game vs the BROWNS, and Joe has been playing scared and without confidence this year. Nobody can deny that. Not to mention he only played well for one half....6 points vs the Browns at home in a half.......yeah, that's light out :(
It's extremely clear his knee is not 100%. His mechanics are awful, he won't step into his throws, he doesn't have any confidence in the pocket, he hurt his shoulder throwing with only his arm and no lower body, and he looks like Drew Bledsoe trying to scramble out of the pocket. I think 95% of ravens fans would agree with those points. Believe me, I have faith in Joe, and all that matters is what happens from here on out. I just can't deny facts from what has already happened. If Joe gets rollin, I have a hard time seeing us lose.
And what are you talking about??? I am very happy for BP. I called it a catch up above. I too expect bigger things from him moving forward. I was just responding to a comment on BP's catch, and giving my take on his other points about the Offense.
How is that Lame minionhunter?Yet Flacco led the offense to a game winning TD against the Raiders - the D gave up the touchdown to Crabtree, Then Joe led the offense down again for the game winning FG and Aiken dropped it.
Flacco led the offense down the field for the game winning TD against the Giants. The D gave up the touchdown to Beckham. The #1 defense in the league doesn't give up long touchdowns in the final minutes of the 4th quarter.
Flacco led the offense down the field for the game winning TD against the Skins but Perriman didn't get his feet down.
That's 8-1 football with the way Flacco's been playing. Hard to blame the QB for going 8-1.
Joe has always been inconsistent. Joe has always been skittish in the pocket. Joe has always NOT have perfect foot mechanics. But Joe has always been clutch with the game on the line and in the play-offs.
??????????? Didn't realize Flacco was 8-1. Taking two drives out of context for a game, let alone the whole season, is well, uninformed at best. If it wasn't for this D, FBAJ would be 0-9! So would SRJ. Flacco is ahead of ONLY Keenum and Osweiler (and not by much) as worst starting QB in the league. Pretty much how it's been for the last four years.
Far Below Average Joe will have his greatest game of the year. Two TD's, one pick, and an astronomical rating (for FBAJ) of 84%. STs and D bail out FBAJ and SRJ for the fifth time this year. OFFENSE is offensive.
Too bad Far Below Average Joe can't really be president. He couldn't be any worse than he is as a QB. And although he'd have to take about a 90% pay cut, he wouldn't have to worry about turnovers. Good for Ravens though. Anyone else behind center has to be better.
Flacco is complete garbage at this point. We would be better off if he had torn up his knee on his uncoordinated slide attempt
You should be deeply ashamed.
What he should be ashamed of, is this guy is making $120 mil to be the WORST QB in the league.
2 hours ago, huntrgathrr said:I apologize for over commenting but I want to offer further thoughts on Flacco. He seems to be less confident today than he was in his first 6 years. I'm really disappointed that he can't read the defenses and call his own plays after 9 years in the NFL. I'm sure there are a lot of reasons for this but the offense will never be prolific getting plays from the sidelines. His check offs are predictable and usually ineffective. He should be reading the defenses at the line of scrimmage and calling the plays from there. I guess the coaches don't have confidence in his ability to do this. This seems to be the reason the Ravens have a very ineffective offense.
Fixed it for ya'. But right about everything else.
Did the Ravens just win that game without once getting into the red zone?
How is this offense so bad?
Because FBAJ is the worst $120mil QB in the history of the NFL. Actually, he's the worst QB in the NFL, regardless of salary, in the last four years.
There is no secret formula John, we just played better those days than the Steelers did. But, I don't know if our luck will continue just how poorly our offense has played and how uninspiring our coaching's been. If we win, we win simply because the Steelers played worse than us and if we lose its simply a continuation of horrific play and coaching by the Ravens. Really its that simple.
Wow! Hit the nail on the head! Let me say just one thing. Leaders lead!! If they don't, the team, business, platoon, family, etc. fall apart. Unfortunately, there are no leaders on this team. The greatest leader of all time left four years ago, and exposed two average, overpaid charlatans who were riding his coattails.
It really doesn't matter with FBAJ behind center!
Lucky to go 1-4 with FBAJ behind center. What has changed? He's been AWFUL, no matter who's playing anywhere on the offense!! A stellar 78% percent rating, which is FOUR points below his career average.
12 hours ago, gr2522 said:I'm just worried about Flacco since he's been nothing but a liability the last 4 YEARS. If Joe's dumb mistakes continue I hope he gets benched so that maybe it'll ignite a spark in our QB. Seems crazy to be talking this way about a SB winning "Elite QB".
Fixed it for ya'.
Some sorry Ravens fans on this site. Nothing but griping and wishing we had another player on our team. Perhaps you should look at the Browns and thank your lucky stars we have the players we have. Better watch what you wish for. Things could be a lot worse. Go Ravens.
Let me guess. Anyone who disagrees with YOU is a "SORRY RAVENS FAN." Well, some of us wish for an NFL QB. Guess that makes us "SORRY."
Maybe after Far Below Average Joe puts up another game with a 56% rating, Self Righteous John can fire Marty and bring in, Oh, I don't know, maybe Don Coryell or Joe Gibbs, or maybe Don Shula to be the OC. Maybe Brian Billick. It really doesn't matter with FBAJ at the helm.
#1 Flacco's footwork wow c'mon are we talking about a rookie or what? He's a 9 year vet who's killing us with dumb plays game after game regressing on a weekly basis. There is motivation, no confidence, no passion it's like if Joe just sleepwalks. The idea about not being able to bench him is ridiculous. If Harbaugh had any good sense left in him he'd bench Flacco for Mallet in an attempt to save his locker room. I guess 120 million made Flacco LAZY! Go Ravens!!!!!!
Flacco is playing with a injured/crappy O-Line that can't protect. He is also coming off an ACL injury and playing through a Shoulder Injury and Missing his #1 WR. Your comment shows lack of knowledge of the current situation. Flacco is the guy. As a team we need to commit to the run for 4 quarters, and use play action to our benefit. Dixon could provide the splash plays that keep drives alive. FLACO SOULD NOT THROW THE BALL 40 TIMES!
HAHA! The Far Below Average Joe excuse machine rolls on! Just watching last night's game, made me yearn for a half decent QB, so we wouldn't be wasting some awesome D. Wentz and Prescott play like seasoned vets, while FBAJ plays like a wide eyed rookie sinking in quick sand. By the way, FBAJ shouldn't throw the ball ONCE! He shouldn't be anywhere near a football field.
Hey, I was waiting for this condescending article for all us idiot Ravens fans, from all the geniuses who write on this site. It's obvious we have no clue what's going on. Well, I do have one observation. After watching some games this week. just about every team in this league has a QB, much better than FBAJ!
Hater's gonna hate...send em' to the moon...
These forums exist so that fans can discuss their opinions. Silly to say that someone with an opinion different than yours is a "hater." No one here hates the Ravens. Those people post to the Pittsburgh Steelers forums.
Yes. I love the Ravens.....however, as a product (a major one, at that)it /they are not playing as good as they should be with the talent they have, etc. As a fan I am very dissatisfied, given there putrid offense- especially with an excessively overpaid qb that is not (imo) doing his best to win (internal politics, perhaps?)
Sloppy Joe got his money, he will never be a leader on any team .Maybe that's why he ended up at Delaware State. The Blue Hen that lays eggs !
Sloppy Joe didn't go to Delaware State Outkast1, he went to the University of Delaware, 2 entirely different schools in the state and they both suck at football
He went to Pittsburgh first and was buried in the depth chart. Where are those guys that played in front of him there? No where and did they even play in the NFL? Joe transferred to Delaware and was a starter and ultimately drafted by Ravens 17th in 1st round. Joe has a Super Bowl ring and a fat paycheck. It doesn't get any better than that as a story. Good for Joe!
Good for Far Below Average Joe. Bad for Ravens!!
Draft Will Likely. If he was three inches taller, he'd go in first two rounds. Maybe Ravens can snag him on the cheap. Be a heck of a lot better selection than Reynolds.
That seems to be the kiss of death for us every time something like that is mentioned. Commentators will says "the Ravens have never lost XYZ in the Harbaugh Era," only for XYZ to happen one play later. It's basically a jinx at this point.
Or they'll say "Joe Flacco has attempted 176 passes without an interception" and Joe immediately throws two. I have to admit that I believe in the jinx.
Maybe it would help if they say, "FBAJ has attempted 200 passes without a TD."
Just as, about 25 ex Ravens D players, who have gone on to sign ridiculous, overpaid contracts with other teams, never to be heard from again, Self Righteous John and Far Below Average Joe, owe their bloated, Ravens contracts to Ray Lewis. I didn't really believe that, when he retired, but it is absolutely evident now. Both of these guys have totally unraveled since then. FBAJ has never been good, only average for five years. A lifetime 83% rating attests to that. And SRJ, does not only not try to help his players win, he makes one ridiculous decision after another, to stall any momentum this team has, each and every game. I'm sick and tired of everyone blaming everything on this team for it's dismal effort, except FBAJ!!
It's hard enough to play the position when you are fully healthy.
Especially for Far Below Average Joe!
I'm starting to wonder if the Ravens ownership should had TDilfered Joe after the Super Bowl but yet no QB would be good with Castillo Offensive Line.
Crusader you have no idea whose fault it was that the Offensive line played horribly because your limited knowledge of the game does not include offensive line responsibilities. You don't know what a trap is, or a pull, and you have no clue what a bubble or a bucket step is. You have no clue what scan or slide protections means, and I could go on. You blame one guy one week and another guy the next. In a prior post you were advocating for 6'5" player to become a lead blocker. And this week your blaming the coach??? If you knew what you were looking for you would know that the players were to blame for the lines poor performance this week, both from a technical and physical standpoint.
HAHA. But you know EVERYTHING! Let the excuse machine continue to ROLL ON for Far Below Average Joe!
To criticize the D at all this year is asinine. There is ONE main problem with this team! Far Below Average Joe.
I'm sure Lorenzo is SOOO much better than Brown on special teams. First time he tries to make a tackle, he'll get hurt. Reads article, shakes head.
