  1. OK, I guess he was robbed. The other guys are obviously not as good, apparently. Who were all the doubters who said his best days were behind him when the Ravens signed him? All I heard was, "great signing," from everyone around the league. If the Ravens were actually fortunate enough to make the playoffs, Weddle should be Ravens MVP. Hey Mink, why the huge inferiority complex? Sheesh.

  2. I think only sport journalists, coaches, GMs and team captains should vote for the pro bowl. Fans should not vote because they vote with their feeling. Maybe we should have the probowlers ( voted by journalists, coaches, GMs as best players of the league) and then All Stars game where players are voting by fans. Right now the pro bowl selection is a joke.

Sports journalists! HAHA. They should not be allowed to vote for anything. There's still some upset loser in Cleveland that vows to NEVER vote for Modell for NFL HOF.

even if he made that call I can understand making a aggressive play call but, that read was so bad! I mean he wasn't open in that window, give waller a split second and he is open behind the MLB. That was terrible with NOT throwing the ball away and takin unnecessary sacks! PATHETIC Joe continues to not progress its not the OC anymore it falls on the QB to be smart enough to get this offense in and out of plays. Also making the offense better keeping the offense ahead or at least at the sticks!

    Fixed it for ya!;)

That's certainly part of it but the still picture someone posted on this blog of the play where Ninkovich sacked Joe speaks volumes. It was a coverage sack. Joe was being rushed by 6 Patriots. Joe had 6 blockers. One was blocking 3 while the other 5 were blocking 2, leaving Ninkovich a clear, unimpeded shot at Joe. Its fortunate he didn't get hurt. Granted, he could have thrown it away and lived to fight another day but he was trying to make a play. The passing pocket didn't break down; there was no passing pocket. Look at the picture. The most telling thing in the picture was that all four receivers were covered like glue several yards beyond the first down marker. Nobody was trying to get open when Joe was trying to buy some time. Somebody needs to elevate the play of the four Ravens receivers on that play. Generally speaking, when your QB is in trouble, a good receiver works his way back toward the QB or tries to keep getting open. This is the NFL, not Pop Warner football. As you have astutely pointed out, elevating the play of those around him is a key part of the QB's responsibility. Lighting a fire under the receivers' backsides and the O-linemen is somebody else's responsibility when they don't elevate their level of play. I would suggest that if the person or persons I'm referring to would do that then SSS would probably not have slammed his helmet on the practice floor on Thursday.

PS - Calling Waller's number on consecutive plays after he dropped a sure TD in the endzone was a classic example of trying to elevate a young receiver's level of play. I think Breshad Perriman's level of play has been elevated in the last couple weeks as well. Kudos to whomever called the same play to Waller after he dropped the pass in the endzone! Idk if it was Joe or Marty but it wasn't Tom Brady and you can take that to the Bank on Sunday. Have another beer, flynismo! How's your fantasy team doin?

If Ol'  Leadfoot Joe was ANY kind of threat to actually run the ball, the defenses would loosen up, and the receivers wouldn't necessarily be covered like a blanket constantly.

There are some comments here that the Cardinals have released Michael Floyd. If that is true, I think that the Ravens absolutely should consider giving up one of the DB's for a space for Michael if they can work out a deal. Elam, Huff, lewis-Harris all are expendable for the rest of the season.

Reports are that Floyd was released because of a DUI. If that's the case, the Ravens won't touch him.

That is correct. They are now on the "holier than thou," "one strike, you're out," "judge, jury executioner," PC correct bandwagon, since the Rice debacle Any slip up now, and your cast aside like an old newspaper. Their secondary stinks, but they jettison their best DB, Hill, for whatever. Had they had this attitude back in 2000, and up to the Rice episode, they'd have no R.Lewis, J. Lewis, McAllister, Suggs, etc., etc., etc. And probably no championships.

  6. Only thing I know about Wembley is, it was part of Queens last ever tour when Freddie found out he was sick. Sold out over 80,000 in less than four hours for July 11,1986 show. So they added a Saturday show, same thing. Great video of the second show. Mass humanity, all to see five guys. I don't know how many toilets they had then, but I don't think it helped those people on the field. Coulda' been messy.

  7. When it's 4th down and in field goal range take the points. We have a weapon kicker in Tucker. We cannot be greedy a go for it 4th down. The coaching decisions have to be good at this game.

Absolutely right!!!! Self Righteous John has already singlehandedly blown two games by calling ridiculous plays, and going for it when absolutely not necessary. Maybe it took eleven games for SRJ and FBAJ to figure out that, they have the NO. 1 D in the league, along with the greatest kicker of all time, with a great special teams. Would love another run. But it's doubtful FBAJ puts two impressive games back to back. Just don't blow it.

  8. Elite? HA! Inconsistent? NO! Inconsistent means you perform one way about half the time, and another way about the other half of the time. That means Far Below Average Joe would have to have one good game, one bad game, etc. However, FBAJ has one good game then 10 bad ones, etc. So, we'll have this RIDICULOUS elite discussion about twice a year on this Ravens website. Because he's the Ravens QB. Does anyone else think, anyone of the other 31 NFL fanbases think FBAJ is elite? Of course not. FBAJ's once in a lifetime numbers, he put up Sunday, are pretty routine for an Elite QB. Heck, a guy like McCown shredded the Ravens last year for something like 450 yards. FBAJ has had ZERO 400 yard games in his entire career. Elite? Comical.

  9. By now, we know what we're going to see: The Defense and Justin Tucker will earn their pay and get the job done. The offense will go up early and then disappear. Flacco will throw one TD, one INT, and a whole lot of 1-2 yard dump offs in between.

I love our defense- they do the best they can and it's only when they're exhausted that they fade near the end b/c the offense can't extend drives. Justin Tucker is the best in the league, and the team MVP (after all, he scores more points than Flacco), but this weekly broken record of offensive non-production is so frustrating to watch.

Miami's rush defense is ranked #30 in the league, and pass defense is top 10. If we're going to win, we're going to need to do it on the ground.

Summed it up perfectly. Five times up 10-0, and two other times up 7-0 in the first qtr. and in those seven games managed to score 20 points once! 23 against the Giants. At least Pathetic Joe puts in a solid 1/4 of a game to earn his 120 million dollars. Ravens cannot run, because no team in the league takes PJ seriously as any kind of threat.

I understand why a lot of you are hating. But I have a lot of faith in Joe still. He's slowly been getting better each week. And when you think about it, he really can't play any worse than he did at the beggining of the year.

Uh. What?   His best game of the year was game 1, and he's been AWFUL ever since.  FBAJ's contribution, in any game, is OVER after the 1st quarter.  Five times this year the Ravens had 10-0 leads in the 1st, and two other 7-0 1st quarter leads.  Of those seven games, the Ravens have reached 20 points ONCE.  23 against the Giants.  As a matter of fact, FBAJ has become Pathetic Joe.  (The 120 Million Dollar Man).

  11. Ravens with six wins thanks to the D and Tucker. Five times had a 10-0 lead in first qtr.,  and two others with a 7-0 first qtr. lead, and only once reached 20 points.  23 against the Giants.  Well, at least FBAJ can put in a solid 1/4 of a game before he falls asleep.

For the love of god, I'm not talking about his 2012 campaign. I'm talking every year since that (except when Kubiak was the OC). If he would play like he did in 2012 or 2014, I would shut my mouth, cause the man would be earning his buck. But the matter of the fact is he's playing worse every year since.

Another thing, of course I'm proud about our 2012 triumph and the way the entire team, including Flacco performed. And I'm ecstatic about the overall success of our franchise. I mean, 2 Lombardi trophies in 20 years is most of other teams have to show for. This is one of my go-to arguments whenever some other teams' fans starts huffing and puffing. However, CAN WE PLEASE STOP LIVING IN THE PAST?!

It's one thing to be proud of your past success, reflect and feel good about it. It's another thing to get hung up on your glory days. Every time I see one of our fans with the talk "But in 2012..." I immediately remember the arrogant "We-have-6-titles" Steelers' fans. WHO CARES about 2012 or 2000 or whatever amount of titles any team has won previously! The only season that matters now is 2016 and how far you get this year, that's it!

And let me ask you this, whobilly, do you want to remain reminiscent about our 2012 season or do you want to get another SB win? I for one would like to see the confetti drop again some time soon. For that, one of the following has to change: 1) Flacco's game or 2) cap hit created by Flacco's salary, so we could afford more high level players. And I for one don't see any indication that Flaccos's playing level will improve any time soon.

    I agree 1000% with u

THIS! FBAJ is killing the Ravens every which way possible. And to tell the truth, he's been only average his entire career. 83% rating. But he's been Far Below Average since the 2012 SB.

It really doesn't matter what Far Below Average Joe's personality is like. The problem is, he's always been a far below average QB. 83% lifetime rating. But the proof is in the pudding. Just look at the Raven's record before and after Ray. This team has been totally absent of any leadership (other than Suggs, who is now having some trouble staying on the field) since the SB.

There is no team record before Ray.

Right.  But FBAJ has been much better with Ray, than without.  My bad.

If Joe ends up waiting till the playoffs to do what he did in 2012, who cares.

You seem to be one miserable "fan"

I guess you mis 2012 run. It's on a dvd. 11 touchdowns and 0 picks.

Living in the past like Steeler fans does this team NO GOOD. Four years and $120mil. later, Far Below Average Joe is the third worst starting QB in the league this year, and has been AWFUL since the SB!

  16. "Classy" speech from Romo? I listened to the whole thing and it sounded like he ripped off a couple of verses from a bunch of Hallmark greeting cards...Possibly as hokey and fake tear-inducing sentimental clap-trap as could come out of a professional athletes mouth. Give me a break, whats he supposed to say, that he hopes Prescott does bad so he can get his job back? Cowgirls public relations department worked overtime to come up with this "I'll be brave and take one for the team" phony baloney speech. Some of them must have written scripts for movies from the Lifetime channel.

Chill Out!!! Your hatred breeds jealousy.
