  1. Unless someone can predict who we're gonna acquire as a returner it's gonna be impossible for anyone to win tickets to the St. Louis game. Everyone's predictions are gonna be nullified by either a wire pickup from recent cuts or a trade that they've quietly been working the last few days.

Well, whoever is closest will win.  It will be interesting to see if anyone gets all 53 right.  But yea, hopefully Ozzie'll throw a monkey wrench into that.

  2. My lasting impression of Steve Francis is him whining and crying at the NBA draft when he was picked by Vancouver. My lasting impression of Juan Dixon, was him and Lonny Baxter carrying the Terps to that nerve wracking win over Connecticut (who I believe were #1 seed at the time) on their way to the title. Am I crazy, or did I hear that the Terps are the NCAA basketball 2015-16 preseason #1? I guess Turgeon is a good coach or recruiter.  Just a heads up for everyone out there.  Don't lend Geno Smith any money!

  3. Even if Smith helps the Ravens to a SB title, there's no way he should go in as a Raven. I love the Ravens, but I wouldn't even feel right about that, and I doubt even Ozzie would expect that. He almost helped the Panthers to a SB victory a few years back and spent 13 of 15 years there. I'm not sure how the NFL decides what team a guy goes in as, so I guess it's possible. The MLB HOF changed their policy from letting the player decide, to letting the Hall decide what cap they where upon induction, when Wade Boggs was over the hill and finished with the Red Sox. Tampa needed a name player to draw fans because they were awful. So they overpaid for Boggs with the stipulation in his contract, that he enter the Hall as a Devil Ray. Utterly ridiculous. I like Billick as a TV guy, but he was a terrible coach. Was lucky to work with Ozzie and have the greatest D of all time. I did admire the way he stood behind Ray during the turmoil and took a lot of heat from the holier than thou media for basically telling them to "stick it." So I guess he should go in just for that.

Articles like that one (and so many others on nfl.com) make the nfl feel less like a sport, and more like a daytime-tv-drama. Maybe I get too annoyed about BS parading as news.

Sounds like ESPN or CNN or any other number of networks that basically make up  their own news and disregard any facts that don't support their political agenda.  Do yourself a favor and just don't watch or read.  I've found it to be a lot LESS annoying.

  5. You didn't have to win a lottery, to attend camp when they trained in Westminster. Any shlub like me and my family was welcome. Really good times for the kids, with Ravenstown and all. Plus, the autograph sessions were great when they hearded all the kids into little pens according to age to wait for the players to come by, without them getting pummeled by the ridiculous adults with no life. Up to 5,000 or more attended each day when they trained there, and it was a real boon to the businesses there. Oh well, I guess they have their reason. Go Ozzie!
