couldn't agree more. I would say with the amount of weapons joe is surrounded with ( or lack thereof) it's simply amazing he's on pace to throw for well over 4000 yards. That's pretty impressive if you ask me. With a bunch of no name receivers and a 37 year old with a broken back.
That is an amazing pace. Especially combined with the 2-14 W-L pace. Outstanding!
1. Nobody cares about passer rating, because nobody knows what it means. Statistics 101... if you can't determine the context of a statistic, how its calculated, or even what it means, its a useless statistic.
2. Judging QBs based on the TEAM W/L record is a lazy approach, nothing more. It just means you haven't put in the time and effort to actually watch football games and form an assessment based on things that actually matter. Hopefully, some day in the near future, fans will come around to this revolutionary idea that wins are a team statistic, not an individual one.
3. Interesting choices for example you chose there... falling right for the bait.
Who does Jameis Winston have to throw to? LOL, o, not much. Just two big, tall, 6'5 WRs who both had over 1,000 yards last season with a combination of really bad QBs. Other than that, not much, LOL.
Who does Ryan Tannehill have to throw to? Just one of the league's best slot receivers who caught 84 balls last season, quality 2nd/3rd receivers like Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings (both would be upgrades on most of our players) and a shiny new first round WR who can actually get on the field.
Who does Blake Bortles have to throw to? A TE who caught 24 TDs the last two seasons, and a bunch of quality, young receivers who would all be #1s on this team and will probably each of over 1,000 yards this season.
And the best part about it... they all have young, quality WRs who won't be retiring after this season. And all three of them have throw 7-8 INTs, just like Joe has.
LOL, yeah, I'd say there's a slight difference in talent around there...
1 Sorry. I was misinformed. Nobody cares.
2 Absolutely. W-L record doesn't matter.
3 Guess I fell for it. You got me. All those great receivers you mentioned.
Tyrod, whoever is starting for the Steelers, McCown, Peyton Manning, Alex Smith, whoever is starting for the Cowboys, Kirk Cousins, Sam Bradford, Nick Foles, Kaepernick, Winston, Cutler, Bridgewater, Stafford, Mariota, whoever is starting for Houston.
Frankly, you can throw Brees, Luck, Tannehill and possibly a few others in there, because they've been highly unimpressive all season long.
Again, watch the games. The QB play mostly league-wide has been abysmal all season long, and Joe Flacco is far, far, far from the worst.
This comment proves you can't be taken seriously. The only starting QB's that have a lower passer rating than Jump Ball Joe are 6-0 Peyton Manning, 6-0 Cam Newton, 3-3 Nick Foles, 3-4 Andrew Luck and 3-4 Sam Bradford. Although they are not playing well, I guess they do enough to not LOSE the game. The RECORD says it all. And guys like Bortles, Winston, Tannehill, etc., who are far outplaying Jump ball Joe, name all the weapons they have to throw to!
No way, Joe is in the bottom 3rd of QBs this year easily. Just look at QBR, TD/INT ratio, Comp %, and especially the 2 minute and 4th QTR stats... Basically what your saying is he's top 10, that makes you delusional. He is definitely PART of the problem. Add in the fact he is completely void of leadership and you have a mediocre QB... that once won a SB.
Hey, no offense, but your name should be; Run Pass Jump Ball Interception.
I don't care if that was Pitta running that route or not, Joe clearly over threw Crockett. Crockett was in the perfect position but Joe just lobbed it too far. It wasn't even close to Crockett. Joe just isn't very accurate. Oh sure sometimes he zips it in the right spot but most of the time its underthrown, overthrown or thrown behind the receiver.
Most here are in denial about Jump Ball Joe.
Watch more games. You'll find at least 20 on a weekly basis playing worse.
Name 'em!
For all the fans who are lucky enough to be in M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday; CONGRATULATIONS!....for it's going to be a great day. Our hard working, leave their blood and guts on the field every game are coming home to a rousing (and I mean really rousing) standing ovation that will last for a loooong time. It's well deserved and they deserve no less. Our season now is to build for next year and be spoilers to some of our favorite nemesis...Steelers, Cincy etc. All of which will make the rest of the season enjoyable and well worth watching. Enjoy Sunday, it will be special.
I sold my tickets!
Jump ball Joe gets up there at the press conference, and says the same blah, blah, blah every week, but nothing changes. He IS the worst QB in the NFL right now. He is demoralizing this team.
Put Webb back there full time! If he gets hurt, so what. He always gets hurt. As a matter of fact, this may improve his health and CB play. That's how it was 3-4 years ago!
The truth hurts!
Flacco is awful.
Wow! The Ravens 1st and 2nd round draft pick receivers are performing at a frightful clip. Unfortunately, it's for the Ravens and not the OTHER teams! Let me do some quick math here. Let's see. Move the.... Add the.... Carry the.... Yea, between them, each averaging a cool NINE yards a game!!
I don't know what all these apologies are for. We're not using injuries as an excuse for the secondary and the coaches, and why would we now use WRs as excuse for Joe Flacco? None of his 7 interceptions this year is because of a WR. He is not playing well. He is not reading defenses well - nothing new. I have seen several times when WRs are open Marlon Brown), and he doesn't throw to them. Talk about QBs making WRs, I guess that doesn't apply to Joe Flacco. We know Marlon can play better. We saw what he did in his rookie season. Joe is only looking at Steve Smith, and when he is covered he just chucks it up there, or throw uncatchable passes to the other receivers. He has been the QB for almost 10 yrs, when is he going to raise his play? Or better yet, when are we gonna stop making excuses for him?
Somebody has to say it. Right? How many weeks is Jump Ball Joe gonna get up there and say "I have to play better," and then play as bad, if not worse the next week!?! Absolute regression.
1-0 WITHOUT the Creepy page article. 0-5, now guaranteed to be 0-6 with it. This is not only not funny, the bad karma permeates this website!
I think the headline is a bit misleading. Didn't recite the Ravens roster. Cute, yes. Adorable, no question. But I am not impressed with parents who exploit their kids on social media. Actually, I know three year olds, who know all 50 state capitals without prompting from their parents. And they aren't filmed to be put on the internet. I don't like when this Ravens website becomes Youtube.
The negativity in this fanbase is unbearable. It's ugly right now, yes, but you'd think this team had never graced success and every member is entirely incompetent. Have some guts and believe in the guys who brought us a Super Bowl ONLY TWO YEARS AGO! (Pees has to go though)
It's a "what have you done for me now" league. Not what did you do THREE years ago. So, if they're mired with the worst record in the NFL at 1-6, which they'll be on Tuesday, then we'll probably tend to be negative. You go ahead and be positive for the rest of us.
I like winnin' more than losin'. These games are brutal.
Could Joe get his head in the game? Blame everyone you want, but he's responsible for this poor record!
Has Joe ever produced a thousand yard WR?
Uh, yeah, last year. However he does seem to be regressing quite a bit. Seems like he may be more concerned with making commercials than playing the game.
I guess the toughest job in the Ravens organization right now, is for the guy who keeps the Depth Chart up to date. BUT to have Perriman still listed as No. 2 is ABSURD.
'75 Colts started 1-4, won the next nine and won the AFC East. It ain't over till it's over.
NO KIDDING! Thanks for letting us know! When's your next "who to root for" article coming up!?!
The only time the Ravens won this year, was when this Creepy page article wasn't on here. This crap is not only not funny, it oozes bad karma. I've been saying it for six weeks now!
I don't follow that stuff too much, but Carr and Dalton should have been nominated for the FedEx passer of the week also. They both had career type games against the Ravens.

Three receivers they drafted this year, including a 1st and 2nd rounder have combined for 126 yards. Amazing. I guess some things just don't work out. However, for the GOOD news. According to some fact finding source reported on WBAL this morning, they are the best 1-6 team in NFL history. So they got that going for them.
