I'm just glad they didnt draft a WR so I don't have to read some of you complaining about how JuJu was a reach in the second and we should have chosen a pass rusher. Suggs is tough as nails but he is nearing the end. We possibly have the heir to Sugg's throne now. No guarantees but if that happens with a second round pick I will be jumping for joy. Great draft by Ozzie. This year and last will go down as the offseasons that turned this team around. Bank on it. Or complain if that's your thing.

I saw a post draft power ranking thar had the Ravens as the 22nd best team !
I can't wait to see our defense come out and crush 90% of the 21 teams they put ahead of us !
With a more dominant defense our offense will have more breathing room this year.
It's about time Baltimore got back to it's roots and stopped setting the bar at "trying to win the close ones"..! It's time to dominate ! Winning by knocking the will out of teams ! Like in the old days. Ugly Ball . . !

You got that right. The Offense is gonna be UGLY.

What is absolutely sad! NFL.com has a rundown from mike mayock of every teams pick so far. Every pick has a description and opinion on the player selected... every player EXCEPT FOR #16 US! SMH

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000803412/article/mike-mayocks-pickbypick-draft-analysis

Ive also been hearing that they skipped to commercial break immediately after our pick, I know the NFL cares the least about Baltimore, but it's really starting to get disgusting

The NFL hates Baltimore! Yeah, that's it. Hope you don't lose too much sleep over it. Should be more concerned with why Ozzie hates Baltimore.

  3. all the top WR were gone so might as well go at our next biggest weekness, finally got some insurance for a guy that hasnt been able to stay healthy since he got drafted in jimmy smith

If they have to waste a FIRST round draft pick as INSURANCE for ANOTHER 1st ROUND draft pick (who makes $12+mil. a year, then this FO is much more screwed up than even WE know!

Not a bad schedule at all. Having our last 2 games at home will be a big help.
The Bye is in a good place and I think who we play, opens up the opportunity to be 6-3 by then (when looking at the schedule with my purple glasses on).

    6-3? I think 8-1 is more likely.
I know all the haters will disagree, but if we do really well next week, and get even average coaching, I see 7-2 at worst heading into the bye

Why is anyone who is realistic, and disagrees with a ridiculous 8-1 prediction, a hater? Oh, that's right. Cause they disagree with you.

Second half of the Steelers schedule is nasty

What?? The Steelers have arguably the easiest schedule in the league. Also, they finish the season against the Texans and Browns, which is advantageous in any sort of tight divisional scenario.

I don't understand how the Steelers keep getting easy schedules despite winning the division.

See, how the NFL does it, is if the Steelers win their division, they can pick whoever they want to play. On the other hand, the NFL can pick whomever they want to play the Ravens. It's been like that for years. That's why the Steelers and Ravens schedules are SO different.

  6. I'm telling you folks. If Fournette slips past 12, the Ravens go up and get him. I'm just praying it is Fournette in the first, because he alters the entire offense into becoming more potent and deadly. He'll make Flacco look really good as well and vault our offense to be on par with our defense and special teams. He is the only pick of the entire draft that can tip the scale in our favor in the AFC. I may not always be right, but this time I know I am and hence I am pounding the 'proverbial' table for him!

I don't know whether you're always right or not, but I'm with you on this one. The skill position talent on this offense is just plain awful. There is absolutely NOTHING you can hang your hat on, maybe with the exception of Wallace. Center, Right Tackle. Man, I just don't see where there will be much improvement, unless things change drastically for this O. Still stuck with PJ as well.

  7. Webb was part of the secondary that routinely surrenders 4th quarter leads. I don't get how adding him makes the Ravens better or add quality depth. What happened to getting younger and faster?

Well, I don't see why getting a hometown favorite (except for you of course), the 16th rated safety in the NFL, and a good guy for CONSIDERABLY less money than he made last year, is so hard to get. Makes perfect sense to me.

  8. Can someone explain to me why everyone seems so sure that TJ will rate us a comp pick?  He is an average player and I don't see him receiving a monster contract.

Am I missing something about these comp picks?

Well, I think it has to do with how well he plays his walk year, as well as the contract he signs. I don't really know. Look at the contracts Wagner and Juice got, even Aiken. And Guy. Never know.

Super funny how everyone's saying we would've got a 3rd round comp pick for Timmy. He's been overrated his whole Ravens career. He's not even close to sniffing the pro bowl. He basically makes as many bone headed penalties after the whistle each year as he does sacks. Great trade

If a team liked him enough to swap a high third round pick for a late 3rd round comp, then a team wouldve been willing to give him a high enough contract to get a 4th rounder.I actually wouldn't put it past a team paying him enough to get us a 3rd after seeing Ricky and Juice become the highest paid players at their positions last month.

    Exactly!
